Sheet conveying apparatus and image forming apparatus including the same
A sheet conveying apparatus includes a bottom plate, a side restriction member extending in a sheet conveying direction, a drive roller rotatable about a first axis substantially orthogonal to the sheet conveying direction, and a driven roller facing the drive roller and rotatable about a second axis inclined relative to the first axis. The driven shaft includes a shaft portion and an elastic portion. The shaft portion integrally includes a first extending portion, a second extending portion, and an intermediate portion located therebetween. The elastic portion is fitted over the intermediate portion. The first extending portion includes a first protruding portion. The second extending portion includes a second protruding portion. A first distance from the second axis to an outer peripheral surface of the first protruding portion is greater than a second distance from the second axis to an outer peripheral surface of the second protruding portion.
SHEET TRANSPORTATION DEVICE
A sheet transportation device includes a guide roll along which a sheet is to be wound. The sheet includes a plurality of tabs provided intermittently in a longitudinal direction along at least one end in a width direction. The guide roll includes a cylindrical roll main body and a short-diameter portion connected with the roll main body so as to be outer, in the width direction of the sheet, to the roll main body. The roll main body is located closer to a center, in the width direction, of the sheet than a transportation path for the end. A portion of the sheet that is closer to the center than the end is wound along the roll main body. The short-diameter portion is connected with the roll main body via a stepped portion, and has an outer diameter shorter than an outer diameter of the roll main body.
WIRE TRANSFER DEVICE
A wire transfer device is provided. The wire transfer device includes a frame, a bobbin connected to the frame and on which a wire is configured to be wound; a holder including a first end connected to the wire and a second end opposite to the first end and configured to be connected to foil; and a guide roller configured to guide a movement path of the wire or the holder. The guide roller includes a groove region for accommodating the wire and a protruding region extending from the groove region and configured to contact with the holder.
Adaptable web spreading device
The present disclosure describes a spreader roll (101) that can help spread webs laterally in a web processing operation, in particular to reduce or remove the presence of wrinkles or bagginess in the web. The spreader roll can be a reverse crown roll that is covered with a resilient material (160) to assist spreading the web to remove wrinkles. The surface curvature of the spreader roll (101) can be formed using layers of material such as a tape, to easily and readily approximate the shape of a reverse crown roll.
Folding roller with rubber-elastic inserts
A folding roller for use in a folding device for folding a fold is disclosed. At the folding device a substrate to be folded is pushed into an inlet roller nip of folding rollers rotating in opposite directions by a folding knife for forming a fold. The folded-away substrate is transferred from the folding rollers to a belt line guided about the folding rollers and consisting of transport belts for the purpose of onward transporting the folded product. The folding roller in the regions in axial extension in which at least one transport belt at least partially wraps the folding roller includes at least one rubber-elastic insert.
Sheet folding device, image forming apparatus and gear coupling mechanism
A sheet folding device includes two rollers, a blade, two parallel pins, and two gears. The first and second parallel pins are passed through first and second pin through-holes penetrating through first and second shaft portions in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the shaft portions. The first and second gears have first and second shaft through-holes through which the first and second shaft portions are passed, and first and second grooves in which the first and second parallel pins are inserted, respectively. Projection portions formed on inner side wall of the second groove and projecting from both sides of the second shaft portion cause the second parallel pin to closely contact a side wall that is, in the second groove, opposite to the projection portions, and cause the second parallel pin to closely contact a portion of the second pin through-hole.
Medium conveying apparatus and image forming apparatus
A medium conveying apparatus includes a drive roller, a driven roller, and a supporting portion. The drive roller includes a drive body portion and a drive contact portion. The drive contact portion is formed of a material having a smaller friction coefficient or a higher surface hardness than the drive body portion, and is formed with a groove portion along a circumferential direction. The driven roller includes a driven contact portion which comes into contact with the drive contact portion at a non-conveying position, and a plurality of protrusion portions which protrude outwardly in a radial direction. The plurality of protrusion portions are arranged in the groove portion at the non-conveying position. The drive contact portion is formed with a pair of guide portions which guide, to the groove portion, the protrusion portions of the driven roller moving from a conveying position to the non-conveying position.
