Sheet binding apparatus and image forming system
According to one embodiment, a sheet binding apparatus includes a first roller, a second roller, and a nip-pressure adjusting section. The first roller attaches a tape to an edge portion of a sheet bundle. The second roller is opposed to the first roller in the sheet bundle thickness direction. The nip-pressure adjusting section is capable of adjusting, on the basis of the position of an edge portion leading end of the sheet bundle, a pressing force of a nip formed by the first roller and the second roller. Before the sheet bundle is inserted between the first roller and the second roller, an interval between the first roller and the second roller is equal to or smaller than the thickness of the sheet bundle.

Sheet conveyance apparatus
A sheet conveyance apparatus includes an oblique-feed unit configured to nip and convey a sheet by imparting to the nipped sheet a force in a direction inclined relative to a sheet conveyance direction so that the sheet approaches an abutment surface in the width direction as the sheet proceeds downstream in the sheet conveyance direction; a drive unit configured to drive the oblique-feed unit; a change unit configured to change the force of the oblique-feed unit; and a control unit configured to control the drive unit and the change unit so that, after causing the sheet to abut against the abutment surface in a first state in which the oblique-feed unit is driven at a first speed, the oblique-feed unit is put into a second state in which the oblique-feed unit is driven at a second speed higher than the first speed and the force is weaker than in the first state.
Image forming apparatus and image forming method
A print medium feeding device includes a guide unit; a first conveyance unit that applies first conveyance force F1 to the print medium, a first part of the first conveyance force applying section moving at a first linear velocity V1; a second conveyance unit including a second conveyance force applying section that makes contact with the print medium and applies second conveyance force F2 to the print medium, a second part of the second conveyance force applying section moving at a second linear velocity V2; and a third conveyance unit including a third conveyance force applying section that makes contact with the print medium and applies third conveyance force F3 to the print medium, a third part of the third conveyance force applying section moving at a third linear velocity V3, wherein V2>V3>V1 and F3>F1>F2 are satisfied.
MEDIUM CONVEYING DEVICE AND LIQUID DISCHARGING DEVICE
A medium conveying device includes a driving roller configured to apply a driving force to a medium to convey the medium, a first driven roller configured to press the medium toward the driving roller, and a second driven roller arranged upstream of the first driven roller in a conveying direction of the medium, and that is configured to contact the medium entirely in an intersecting direction intersecting the conveying direction to press the medium toward the driving roller, wherein a contact portion of the second driven roller contacting the medium includes a material configured to adsorb a plasticizer of the medium, and a pressing force of the second driven roller is weaker than a pressing force of the first driven roller.
SHEET SEPARATION USING PRESSING FORCE
A sheet separation device includes a separating member to contact a feed roller and to separate sheet-type media transported between the feed roller and the separating member, the separating member movable to contact the feed roller at a plurality of contact points on the feed roller along the withdrawing direction to apply different pressing forces corresponding to the plurality of contact points.
Tension head with tension wheel cam biasing element for modular steel strapping machine
A self-actuating tension head for a strapping machine for feeding a steel strapping material around a load, tensioning the strapping material and sealing the strapping material to itself has a tension wheel biasing element. The tension head includes a body defining a strap path therethrough, a drive wheel, a tension wheel and a pinch wheel. The strap path extends between the tension wheel and the pinch wheel. The drive wheel is a fixed distance from the tension wheel. The drive and tension wheels are operably engaged with one another. A pivoting link operably connects the drive and tension wheels. The link pivots about the drive wheel axis of rotation. A cam is operably mounted to the tension wheel, and engages a cam follower to pivot the link to move the tension wheel into and out of engagement with the pinch wheel. The tension wheel biasing element cooperates with the cam to maintain the cam in a position relative to the cam follower.
Drive transmission apparatus and image forming apparatus
The present disclosure provides a drive transmission apparatus capable of reducing vibration of rotating member. The apparatus includes a shaft, a pin, and a rotating member. The rotating member is engaged with the shaft by the pin and rotates with the shaft. A protruded portion is provided on one of an outer circumferential surface of the shaft and an inner circumferential surface of the rotating member. The rotating member is attached to the shaft with the protruded portion in pressure contact with another one of the outer circumferential surface of the shaft and the inner circumferential surface of the rotating member, so that swinging of the rotating member around the pin is restricted.
Liquid ejection apparatus
A liquid ejection apparatus, including: a conveyor; and an ejector to eject a liquid; wherein each of an upstream roller pair, a first downstream roller pair, and a second downstream roller pair of the conveyor includes upper and lower rollers to respectively contact front and back surfaces of a recording medium, at least one of the upper and lower rollers being configured to give a conveyance force to the recording medium, wherein a rotation speed of the second downstream roller pair is higher than that of the first downstream roller pair, and the conveyance force of the first downstream roller pair is larger than that of the second downstream roller pair, and wherein the conveyance force of the second downstream roller pair is largest at a position thereof in the first direction which is nearest to the central position of the second downstream roller pair.
Sheet conveyance apparatus that ensures reduced noise, and image forming apparatus including the same
A sheet conveyance apparatus includes an inner main unit, a guiding portion, a conveyance roller pair, a mounting portion, and an urging member. A pair of bearing portions supports a shaft portion of a driven roller. A supporting portion is located on an upstream side or a downstream side in a conveyance direction in the pair of bearing portions and supports a pair of extending portions from below. A pressing portion abuts on the pair of extending portions, from above, between the pair of bearing portions and the supporting portion to elastically deform the pair of extending portions. A regulating portion is located between the pair of bearing portions and the supporting portion in the conveyance direction and regulates an interval between the pair of extending portions such that the interval becomes wider than a length of a roller portion in a width direction.
