Modular media routing system for multi-finisher printers
09623684 · 2017-04-18 · ·

A media sheet router moves sheets from a digital printer through the router and selectively to a plurality of finishers at full process speed. A router inlet path is aligned with the printer outlet path. Two router outlet paths are disposed at ninety degrees to the left and right of the router inlet path. The router outlet paths are each aligned with a finisher inlet path or another router. First and second turning elements are each mounted at forty-five degrees to the router inlet path and at ninety degrees to each other. Each turning element directs the sheets in a helical path to the router outlet paths. Transfer belts hold the sheets against each turning element. A bypass transfer moves the sheet to a bypass outlet path aligned with a bypass finisher inlet path. Diverters selectively direct the sheets onto the turning elements or the bypass transfer.

Transport device and liquid ejection device

A transport unit includes a glue belt, a pressurizing roller, a roller driving unit, and a control unit. The glue belt includes an adhesive layer. The pressurizing roller presses a medium against the adhesive layer while reciprocating in a Y direction. The roller driving unit generates a driving force for the pressurizing roller to reciprocate. The control unit controls the roller driving unit. The pressurizing roller is separated from the adhesive layer along with reciprocation. The control unit is capable of detecting a load of the roller driving unit, and determines whether the magnitude of the adhesive force of the adhesive layer is less than a target value, based on the load.

SHINGLING DEVICE AND SHEET PRODUCTION LINE COMPRISING THE SHINGLING DEVICE

The shingling device comprises: a shingling conveyor, adapted to receive a stream of sheets aligned with one another and not overlapping; a braking device, positioned above the shingling conveyor and configured to slow down the sheets arriving to the shingling conveyor, and to partially overlap the incoming sheets in shingling fashion. The braking device comprises: a first set of braking wheels aligned with one another along a first rotation axis orthogonal to a feed direction of the sheets to the shingling conveyor; and a second set of braking wheels aligned with one another along a second rotation axis orthogonal to the feed direction of the sheets to the shingling conveyor.

CASH REGISTER

A cash register includes a banknote input module including a first housing and a banknote transport mechanism, and a banknote storage module including a second housing and a banknote storage pressure plate. The first housing has a banknote inlet, a banknote outlet and a first combination frame. The banknote transport mechanism is disposed in the first housing and located at the banknote inlet and between the banknote inlet and the banknote outlet. The banknote storage pressure plate is movably disposed in the second housing and abuts against the second combination frame. The first combination frame is coupled to the second combination frame of the second housing from above or below to combine the money input module with the money storage module. A banknote enters the first housing from the banknote inlet and is transported by the banknote transport mechanism and enters the second housing through the banknote outlet.
