A rotatable, hands free fish dehooking device used for safely removing hooks and lures from a fish's mouth and/or body. The hands free dehooking device has a rigid ring located on an end of an elongated arm that is mounted to a fixed or stationary object, such as a box, boat, or other object that anchors the ring and arm in a fixed position for use. The ring and arm may also be rotatable between stored and in-use positions.

The present invention relates to a device for removing a fish from a line. The fish removing device has a generally U-shaped portion that extends into an elongated straight section. The straight section bends into a gripping section, which in one embodiment includes a first and second gripping member. After a fish is caught with a hook on a fishing line, the fishing line is caught in the U-shaped portion and slid down to the hook. The fishing line is then positioned horizontally between a first hand and the fish removing device held in a second hand. The fish is rotated on the fishing line, which applies rotational and gravitational force to the fish thereby dislodging the hook from the fish without having the user coming into physical contact with the fish.

The present invention relates to a device for removing a fish from a line. The fish removing device has a generally U-shaped portion that extends into an elongated straight section. The straight section bends into a gripping section, which in one embodiment includes a first and second gripping member. After a fish is caught with a hook on a fishing line, the fishing line is caught in the U-shaped portion and slid down to the hook. A multifunction fish holder helps a user grip a just caught fish and uses a base layer to which a non-slip layer is attached to an inner surface thereof. A fish hook remover, a tape measure, and a pair of pliers are all attached to the base layer, either fixedly, removably, or a combination thereof. A puncture resistance rib extends along a midline of the base layer and helps prevent a fish's fin from penetrating the device and pricking a user's hand while gripping the fish. A grip strap is located on at least one side of the base layer, on an outer surface thereof, in order to allow the user to slip a hand therethrough for better grip of the device.

Apparatuses and systems suitable for separating aquatic animals, preferably large marine animals, from a fishing line, wire, and/or hook are disclosed herein. In an embodiment, the apparatus includes a base, which is affixable to an extender, having a return aperture and seat for receiving one or more blades to form a cutting edge along the return aperture; a cover rotatably fastened to the base; a locking point to affix the base and the cover; wherein the apparatus is configurable such that, if one or more straight-edge blades is inserted into the seat, no blade tip extends beyond a perimeter of the base and the cover. Also described are systems incorporating the apparatuses elsewhere described, further possessing an extender and one or more blades. Further, described herein are methods of using any of the apparatuses and/or systems elsewhere described to separate a marine animal from a line or hook.

Apparatuses and systems suitable for separating aquatic animals, preferably large marine animals, from a fishing line, wire, and/or hook are disclosed herein. In an embodiment, the apparatus includes a base, which is affixable to an extender, having a return aperture and seat for receiving one or more blades to form a cutting edge along the return aperture; a cover rotatably fastened to the base; a locking point to affix the base and the cover; wherein the apparatus is configurable such that, if one or more straight-edge blades is inserted into the seat, no blade tip extends beyond a perimeter of the base and the cover. Also described are systems incorporating the apparatuses elsewhere described, further possessing an extender and one or more blades. Further, described herein are methods of using any of the apparatuses and/or systems elsewhere described to separate a marine animal from a line or hook.

A fishing hook remover and vent tool is disclosed. The tool includes a handle having a first end and a second end, a hook remover connected to the first end of said handle, and a vent needle assembly. The vent needle assembly includes a handle insert positioned in an internal compartment of the handle and a slidable needle assembly positioned in the interior of the handle insert. The slidable needle assembly includes a vent needle, which is slidable in and out of the second end of the handle.

A fishing hook remover and vent tool is disclosed. The tool includes a handle having a first end and a second end, a hook remover connected to the first end of said handle, and a vent needle assembly. The vent needle assembly includes a handle insert positioned in an internal compartment of the handle and a slidable needle assembly positioned in the interior of the handle insert. The slidable needle assembly includes a vent needle, which is slidable in and out of the second end of the handle.
