IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: a housing; an image forming unit; a conveyor; a curved guide disposed downstream of the conveyor and configured to move between a near position where the curved guide in the housing guides the sheet and a far position farther from the conveyor than the near position; and a guide member extending from the conveyor toward the curved guide and configured to guide the sheet to the curved guide when the curved guide is located at the near position. The guide member has one end portion coupled to the conveyor and the other end portion movable with respect to the curved guide. When the curved guide is moved from the near position to the far position, the other end portion is moved in a direction from a downstream end toward an upstream end of the curved guide.
Sheet conveyance apparatus, image reading apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a conveyance roller to convey a sheet, and a drive transmission mechanism to transmit a driving force from a driving source to the conveyance roller. The drive transmission mechanism includes a shaft, a first rotary member supported on the shaft, a second rotary member supported on the shaft and connected to the conveyance roller, and a coupling member engaged with the first rotary member and rotated integrally with the first rotary member. The coupling member is movable along the shaft between a coupling position, at which the coupling member engages with the second rotary member such that it rotates integrally with the first rotary member, and a release position, at which the coupling member is separated from the second rotary member such that a relative rotation of the second rotary member with respect to the first rotary member is permitted.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus, including a main chassis having a discharge tray and a switchback tray in an upper position with respect to the discharge tray; an image forming unit; a discharge roller to discharge a recording sheet conveyed through the image forming unit onto the discharge tray; a duplex conveyer to invert the sheet and convey the inverted sheet to return to the image forming unit; and a switchback roller being rotatable in a normal direction to convey the sheet toward the switchback tray and a reverse direction to convey the sheet to the duplex conveyer; is provided. The main chassis includes a pair of walls, each of which extends in a vertical direction and in a conveying direction of the sheet and is arranged in adjacent to the switchback tray such that the switchback tray is interposed between the pair of walls.
Media path for print registration
Various embodiments illustrated herein disclose a printing apparatus comprising a media supply spool configured to supply print media along a media path. The printing apparatus further comprises a first media sensor positioned in a first plane in the printing apparatus. Further, the printing apparatus comprises a second media sensor positioned in a second plane in the printing apparatus. Additionally, the printing apparatus comprises a first media guide defining a section of the media path, wherein extremities of the first media guide are positioned to be at a negative offset from the second plane.
SHEET FEEDING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet feeding device includes a feeding roller pair, a first guide, a door including a second guide and rotatable between a first direction and a second direction opposite to the first direction through first to third positions, a damping mechanism, and an engaging portion including an elastic member. A first resisting force is set so that moment acting around a shaft by a self-weight of the door is larger than the first resisting force of the damping mechanism when the door is positioned between the second position and the third position. A resultant force of the first resisting force of the damping mechanism and a second resisting force of the elastic portion is set so that the moment acting around the shaft by the self-weight of the door is larger than the resultant force when the door is positioned between the second position and the third position.
SHEET FEEDING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet feeding apparatus includes an apparatus body, a drawer portion including a sheet supporting portion, a feeding portion, a conveyance portion, a first conveyance guide and a second conveyance guide forming a conveyance path through which the sheet passes, and an abutment surface disposed downstream of a sheet conveyance area of the conveyance path in the drawing direction, overlaps with the conveyance path when viewed in the drawing direction, and configured to guide the sheet toward the drawer portion in a case where the drawer portion is drawn from the apparatus body in a state where the sheet is stuck across the drawer portion and the conveyance path, the abutment surface being inclined downward as the abutment surface extends downstream in the drawing direction, the abutment surface being inclined downward as the abutment surface extends upstream in the sheet feeding direction.
PRINTING APPARATUS
An object of the present invention is to prevent the ends of print media fed continuously from colliding with each other. The present invention is a printing apparatus including: a printing unit configured to perform print operation; a detecting unit configured to detect conveyance abnormality; a conveying unit configured to convey a preceding print medium and a succeeding print medium; a conveying path having a first area including a curved portion at which a conveying direction of the print medium is curved and a second area upstream of the first area; and an opening unit capable of opening the first area of the conveying path, wherein, in a case where a leading edge of the succeeding print medium is located in the second area at the time of the detecting unit detecting conveyance abnormality of the preceding print medium, the conveying unit conveys the succeeding print medium so that the leading edge of the succeeding print medium reaches the first area.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming unit; a first re-conveyance guide that guides a sheet on which an image is formed in a re-conveying direction; a second re-conveyance guide that guides the sheet from the first re-conveyance guide toward the image forming unit; a side guide provided at one end portion of the second re-conveyance guide in a widthwise direction to regulate the sheet; a side chute provided at one end portion of the first re-conveyance guide in the widthwise direction; and an engaging portion provided on the second re-conveyance guide.
