Transport device and image forming apparatus
A transport device includes a transport roller, a nip section, and first and second transport path surfaces. The transport roller transports a transport target material sent from an accommodating unit. The nip section nips the transport target material with the transport roller, and prevents multi-feed of the transport target material. The first transport path surface is disposed upstream of the nip section in a transport direction to face a transport roller side of the nip section. The first transport path surface includes a top portion protruding toward the transport roller side beyond a nip line between the transport roller and the nip section. The second transport path surface is disposed downstream of the nip section in the transport direction to face the transport roller side of the nip section. The second transport path surface includes a top portion protruding toward the transport roller side beyond the nip line.
CONVEYANCE DEVICE
A conveyance device includes a conveyance path having a curved portion and a pair of conveyers which are disposed in the conveyance path and convey a medium while nipping it, wherein the medium enters the pair of conveyers in a state of being at least partially curved in the curved portion, and the conveyance path guides the medium toward one of the pair of conveyers.
CONVEYANCE DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A conveyance device to convey a sheet includes an apparatus main body including a regulating portion, an opening/closing door including a first guide portion, and a conveyance guide supported by the opening/closing door and having a second guide portion and a regulated portion. The opening/closing door moves relative to the apparatus main body between an open position and a closed position where the conveyance guide is placed between the apparatus main body and the opening/closing door. When the conveyance guide pivots in an away direction where the second guide portion moves away from the first guide portion with the opening/closing door in the open position, the regulated portion contacts the regulating portion to regulate rotation of the conveyance guide in the away direction. The second guide portion and the regulated portion are on one side of a pivot axis in a direction that is perpendicular to a pivot axis direction.
SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet conveying device includes a sheet detection unit and a position adjusting mechanism. The position adjusting mechanism is disposed on a downstream side of the sheet detection unit in a sheet conveying direction in the sheet conveying path, includes an adjusting roller pair, and performs skew correction and positional displacement correction of a sheet, while conveying the sheet. The sheet conveying path includes a first conveying roller pair disposed on an upstream side of the position adjusting mechanism in the sheet conveying direction, and a curved part disposed between the adjusting roller pair and the first conveying roller pair, which curves in an S shape so as to be convex in a front and back side direction of the sheet alternately at different positions in the sheet conveying direction. The adjusting roller pair nips and conveys the sheet together with the first conveying roller pair.
INTERMEDIATE UNIT, POST PROCESSING DEVICE, AND PRINTING APPARATUS
An intermediate unit includes a transportation path provided with a drying unit that accelerates the drying of the medium. The transportation path includes an inlet path, an outlet path, a first branch path, a second branch path, a first junction path, a second junction path, a switch-back type inversion path with a first inversion path and a second inversion path. The first branch path and the second branch path which branch off at a branch point from the inlet path. The first junction path and the second junction path and the outlet path join each other at a junction point. The first branch path and the first junction path and the first inversion path join each other at a first connection point. The second branch path and the second junction path and the second inversion path join each other at a second connection point.

A sheet guide comprising a first straight portion in an upstream end of the sheet guide in a conveyance direction of a sheet, a curved portion having a curvature, the curved portion continued from the first straight portion in the conveyance direction, and a second straight portion continued from the curved portion in a downstream end of the sheet guide in the conveyance direction. The curved portion includes a pair of guide plates defining a conveyance path through which the sheet is guided, and a shape retention member retaining a part of the pair of guide plates in a curved shape, the shape retention member holding each end of the pair of guide plates in a direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction.

A sheet conveying device includes a sheet conveying passage, an upper conveying guide provided in the sheet conveying passage and facing the upper surface of a sheet, a lower conveying guide facing the lower surface of the sheet, a conveying member conveying the sheet along the sheet conveying passage, a sheet stack tray arranged above the upper conveying guide. The upper conveying guide is swingable up and down, with one end part of it in the sheet conveying direction or in the sheet width direction perpendicular to the sheet conveying direction serving as a pivot shaft. The sheet stack tray has a movable part making contact with the upper conveying guide at least when it swings, and the movable part is movable between a sheet receiving position where it forms a sheet stack surface and a retracted position where it has swung upward from the sheet receiving position.
