Gravity-assisted wall registration system

A gravity-assisted registration system suited to use in a printing device includes a transport member with a surface on which an associated sheet is translated in a process direction. The surface defines an angle with respect to horizontal in a cross-process direction. A registration wall, adjacent a lower end of the surface, defines a registration edge for registering the sheet. A drive mechanism drives at least one rotation mechanism, for translating sheet in the process direction, each rotation mechanism including at least one drive member with an axis of rotation parallel to the surface in the cross-process direction, Each drive member includes a sliding mechanism, at a periphery of the drive member, enabling the sheet to slide, under gravity, on the surface, toward the registration wall into an alignment position, in contact with the registration wall.

Document feeder and image forming apparatus

A document feeder includes a document placing tray on which a document is placed; a document discharging tray on which a document discharged from a document discharging port in a discharging direction is stacked; and a light source that radiates light to the document discharging tray. The document discharging tray is disposed below the document placing tray. The document discharging tray has a protruding portion protruding upward from the surrounding area. The light source is disposed within a region having a width that is the same as a document having a maximum size in the width direction.

SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

A sheet processing apparatus includes a first and second alignment members that moves relatively in a width direction to align a position of a sheet in the width direction. Each alignment member includes a contact surface configured to come in contact with an end of the sheet in the width direction, a lower portion configured to support a lower surface of the sheet, and an upper portion facing an upper surface of the sheet. For each of the first and second alignment members, the lower portion is more distant from the contact surface than the upper portion in the width direction, the lower portion is positioned above a lower end of the contact surface in a gravity direction, and a distance between the upper portion and the lower portion in the gravity direction is smaller than a length of the contact surface in the gravity direction.

Sheet processing apparatus and image forming apparatus

A sheet processing apparatus includes a conveyance member configured to convey a sheet, and an alignment portion having a first alignment member and a second alignment member and configured to move relative positions of the first and second alignment members in a width direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the sheet by the conveyance member. Each alignment member includes a contact surface coming in contact with one end of the sheet in the width direction, a lower surface facing a lower surface of the sheet that is in contact with the contact surface, a lower portion supporting the lower surface of the sheet that is in contact with the contact surface, and an upper portion facing an upper surface of the sheet that is in contact with the contact surface.

Recycling bin

A recycle box includes a box door and a box bottom housing. A recycle inlet is provided at a top of the box bottom housing. A guide elastic strip, a banknote guiding plate, an impeller and a banknote stacking plate are fixed inside the box bottom housing. The guide elastic strip and the banknote guiding plate are vertically and oppositely arranged, there is a gap between the guide elastic strip and the banknote guiding plate and the gap is a recycle passage. The banknote guiding plate is provided with a first stopper for placing the recycled media and an opening for flexible blades to pass through, and the recycled media are placed on the first stopper after passing through the recycle passage. The flexible blade conveys the recycled media onto the banknote stacking plate. The impeller has a small diameter and the recycle box has a reduced volume accordingly.
