A sheet feeding device includes a raising and lowering portion, a first detecting portion, a feeding portion, a second detecting portion, and a controller. When a change in a state of the feeding roller from a state of being in an uppermost sheet feedable position to a state of being not in the uppermost sheet feedable position is detected by the second detecting portion and then a change in a state of the uppermost sheet from a state of being in a feeding position to a state of being not in the feeding position is detected by the first detecting portion, the controller controls the raising and lowering portion to raise the stacking member on the basis of a correction amount determined based on a time from change timing of the second detecting portion to change timing of the first detecting portion.

A recording apparatus includes a recording portion; a liquid reservoir portion; a medium ejection route that is provided, at an end portion thereof, with a medium outlet from which the medium is ejected; an ejection roller that ejects the medium from the medium outlet; and a stacking member that stacks the medium. The medium ejection route includes, in an interval where the medium having been subjected to recording by the recording portion is transported to the medium outlet, a reversing curved route along which the medium is curved in a state where a recorded face of the medium faces an inner side of the curve, and the liquid reservoir portion is disposed, in a vertical direction, at a further antigravity direction side position than a position of the medium ejection route and a position of a movement trajectory drawn by the medium during a period until its stack on the stacking member.

Image recording apparatus

An image recording apparatus includes: a casing; a sheet-feeder tray having a supporting surface for supporting a sheet-shaped recording medium; a recording unit which is configured to record an image on the recording medium fed from the sheet-feeder tray; a discharge roller pair configured to discharge, from the casing, the recording medium on which the image has been recorded by the recording unit; an opening-closing member which is provided on the downstream of the discharge roller pair in a direction in which the recording medium is discharged by the discharge roller pair and is rotatable between a first position where a discharging slot of the recording medium discharged by the discharge roller pair is closed and a second position where the discharging slot is open; and a restricting mechanism configured to restrict the rotation of the opening-closing member from the second position to the first position.

Sheet feed cassette, sheet feeder, and image forming apparatus

A sheet feed cassette includes a cassette main body, a sheet loading plate, a regulating member, and an auxiliary member. The sheet loading plate has a support surface and an opening. The support surface supports a sheet sheaf of one or more sheets. The regulating member is slidable within the opening in a sheet width direction perpendicular to a sheet feed direction. The regulating member regulates the sheet sheaf by coming into contact with an edge of the sheaf. The auxiliary member is supported by the sheet loading plate. The auxiliary member is in contact with the regulating member. The auxiliary member is turnable in parallel to the support surface in accompaniment to sliding of the regulating member. The auxiliary member supports a part of the sheet sheaf located over the opening.

Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes: an electrophotographic image forming section; a sheet feeding tray; a conveying roller; a sheet discharging tray; a sheet discharging roller that is switched between a first state in which the sheet discharging roller rotates in a first direction and a second state in which the sheet discharging roller rotates in a second direction in which the sheet is conveyed back toward the image forming section; and a re-conveying roller that conveys the sheet conveyed back toward the image forming section by the sheet discharging roller, the re-conveying roller having an axial direction parallel to an axial direction of the conveying roller and being located at a position at which the re-conveying roller projected onto a first virtual plane that is perpendicular to the axial direction at least partially overlap with the conveying roller projected onto the first virtual plane.
