Feeding device and image forming apparatus
A feeding device includes an accommodating unit, a feeding member, a regulating member, a member-to-be-detected, a detecting device, and a connecting member. The regulating member contacts the member-to-be-detected in a first region with respect to a feeding direction and is spaced from the member-to-be-detected through the connecting member in a second region different from the first region with respect to the feeding direction.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image formation unit configured to form an image, a tray configured to stack the sheet, the tray being turnable between a closed position and an opened position, a feed unit configured to feed the sheet, and an extension tray configured to stack the sheet, the extension tray being movable between an extension position in which the extension tray is extended from the tray toward an upstream side and a stored position in which the extension tray is stored in the tray, wherein the apparatus main body has a first protruding portion protruding from the side surface of the apparatus main body toward the tray, and wherein when the tray is in the closed position and the extension tray is in the stored position, the first protruding portion presses an outer wall portion of the tray and the extension tray toward the opened position.
BOARD SECTIONS FOR MEDIA COLLECTION
In an example, a media handling device (100) comprises a media catcher (110) defining a first media collecting width (112) along a lateral direction. The device also comprises a first board section (120) defining a second media collecting width (122) along the lateral direction, the second media collecting width exceeding and at least partially overlapping the first media collecting width, and a second board section (130), whereby the first board section is at least partially located between the second board section and the media catcher, the first and second board sections forming an apex (125) along the second media collecting width to support media. The device further comprises an abutment (140) at a distal end of the first board section away from the apex, the abutment being located between the first board section and the media catcher.
Distance detector, sheet feeder, and image forming apparatus
A distance detector includes a distance-measuring sensor, a first detection surface, a second detection surface, and processing circuitry. The first detection surface is perpendicular to an optical axis of the distance-measuring sensor. The second detection surface is behind or in front of the first detection surface with respect to the distance-measuring sensor. The second detection surface has two faces inclined with respect to the optical axis of the distance-measuring sensor. The first detection surface or the second detection surface is retractable from the distance-measuring sensor. The processing circuitry determines whether the first detection surface or the second detection surface is detected by the distance-measuring sensor and causes the distance detector to detect a distance from the distance-measuring sensor to the first detection surface based on detection of the first detection surface by the distance-measuring sensor.
Paper feeding cassette and recording apparatus
A paper feeding cassette is configured to be inserted into an apparatus and drawn out from the apparatus. The paper feeding cassette includes a placement unit at which a sheet is to be placed, and at least one accommodation unit configured to accommodate an accommodated article. The accommodation unit includes a top plate and a side wall intersecting the top plate. The side wall includes an opening part opened toward an inner side of the paper feeding cassette. The placement unit and the accommodation unit are provided at positions different from each other.
Guide mechanism and paper sheet handling apparatus
A guide mechanism including a guide that regulates a position of a paper sheet stacked includes a power transmitter that moves the guide to three or more positions by means of power obtained from a separate mechanism, which is different from the guide mechanism, and a switching drive that switches the power transmitter between a transmission state in which the power of the separate mechanism is transmitted to the guide and a non-transmission state in which the power of the separate mechanism is not transmitted.
