Sheet Conveying Apparatus
A sheet conveying apparatus includes a first roller, a first guide, a second guide, a second roller, and a third roller. The first guide is configured to guide the sheet conveyed by the first roller and includes a first guide surface and a first edge portion located downstream of the first guide surface in a sheet conveying direction. The second guide, disposed downstream of the first guide, includes a second guide surface and a second edge portion located upstream of the second guide surface. The second roller is disposed downstream of the first roller and above the first roller. The third roller is disposed at a position more proximate to the second guide surface than the second roller. When projected on a cut plane orthogonal to an axis of the third roller, at least of a part of the second edge portion overlaps the third roller.
Feeding device and recording apparatus including the feeding device
A feeding device includes a roller configured to feed an uppermost sheet of a plurality of sheets stacked in a stacking unit, and an inclined separator located downstream of the roller in a feed direction and configured to separate one sheet from another sheet. The inclined separator includes a first separator and a second separator that are arranged along the feed direction. Resistance imparted to each sheet by the first separator is greater than resistance imparted to each sheet by the second separator.
SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE AND IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
According to one embodiment, the sheet conveying device includes a tray, an elevating mechanism, a conveyance roller, and a resistance member. The tray stacks a plurality of sheets. The elevating mechanism lifts and lowers the tray in the stacking direction of a plurality of sheets. The conveyance roller conveys the plurality of sheets in the conveyance direction from the upper side in the stacking direction. The resistance member comes into contact with the leading ends of the plurality of sheets in the conveyance direction. The resistance member imparts a sliding resistance larger than that of the sheet stacking surface of the tray to the leading ends of the plurality of sheets that are lifted and lowered by the elevating mechanism.
SHEET DISCHARGE APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet discharge apparatus includes a discharge unit configured to discharge a sheet in a discharge direction, a stacking surface configured to stack the sheet discharged by the discharge unit, and a wall including a plurality of hole portions and an abutting part, wherein the plurality of hole portions includes a first hole portion disposed across an extension line along the stacking surface when viewed in a width direction, the first hole portion including a first edge portion and a second edge portion, the first edge portion being positioned on a side of the stacking surface, and wherein, in the vertical direction, an upper end of the first edge portion of the first hole portion is positioned above the extension line, and a lower end of the first edge portion of the first hole portion is positioned below the extension line.
SHEET CONVEYING APPARATUS AND IMAGE RECORDING APPARATUS
A sheet conveying apparatus includes: a casing provided with a first conveying path and a second conveying path; a first feeding tray provided in the casing and having a first supporting surface that supports a sheet; a supporting member that supports the first feeding tray from below in the casing; a first feeding section provided above the first supporting surface; a first guide member having a first guide surface to guide the sheet fed from the first feeding tray; a second feeding tray provided below the supporting member in the casing and having a second supporting surface that supports a different sheet; a second feeding section provided above the second supporting surface; a second guide member having a second guide surface to guide the different sheet fed from the second feeding tray; and a frame made of metal and being installed on a lower surface of the supporting member.
IMAGE RECORDING DEVICE HAVING A COMPACT FORM FACTOR
An image recording device is provided, having a recording unit configured to record an image on a sheet, and a tray disposed below the recording unit. The tray includes a sheet holding surface configured to hold the sheet. Additionally, the image recording device includes a sheet feeder disposed between the recording unit and the tray. The sheet feeder includes a roller for feeding the sheet from the tray. The roller is configured to move between a first roller position in which the roller contacts the sheet holding surface of the tray and a second roller position in which the roller is separated from the sheet holding surface. A return guide, disposed between the recording unit and the sheet feeder, defines a second conveying path to guide the sheet having an image recorded on one side thereof back to the feed guide. The return guide has a first opening configured to accommodate the roller of the sheet feeder when the roller is in the second roller position.
SHEET FEEDING DEVICE INCLUDING A PLURALITY OF SEPARATION PIECES MOVABLE TO SEPARATE UPPERMOST SHEET FROM STACK OF SHEETS
A sheet feeding device includes: an accommodating unit having a placement surface on which the stack of sheets is mounted; an inclined member having an inclined surface inclined relative to the placement surface to extend in an inclined direction and a back surface opposite the inclined surface; a sheet pick-up unit for feeding an uppermost sheet in the stack of sheets toward the inclined member; and a sheet separating member provided on the inclined surface. The sheet separating member includes a plurality of separation pieces and a support portion those made of resin. The support portion supports the separation pieces at positions closer to the back surface than to the inclined surface so that the separation pieces are movable away from the placement surface in the inclined direction and toward the back surface in a normal direction of the inclined surface independently from one another.
Adjustable compliance of separation strips in a media dam
In a copier, printer, or similar device, paper is loaded in large quantities. To separate a top sheet of a stack of sheets from the next adjacent sheet, a dam is used, which is an element having an inclined surface in the path of the top sheet. This invention addresses devices with variably compliant separation strips, preferably a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer such as Pellethane®, that are part of the dam, so that the leading edge of a media sheet will strike the inclined surface of the separation strip. By adjusting the compliance of the separation strip, different weights of media may be accommodated while minimizing the multi-feeds that may cause jamming of the device.
STACKING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A stacking device which is detachably attached to an apparatus body of an image forming apparatus having an abutting member that abuts on a recording material and on which a recording material is stacked includes: a first supporting unit that supports the recording material from a lower side of the recording material; and a second supporting unit that supports an end of the recording material in an attachment/detachment direction of the stacking device. The second supporting unit includes a corresponding region, and a position of the corresponding region agrees with a position of the abutting member abut with the recording material in a width direction which is orthogonal to the attachment/detachment direction. At least a height of the corresponding region in a direction orthogonal to the attachment/detachment direction and the width direction is lower than a height of the abutting member.
