SLEEVING MACHINE HOPPER
A packaging machine hopper is provided for holding a stack of packaging articles with each article in a generally horizontal orientation. The hopper comprises a support for holding at least part of the stack at an angle to vertical.
Sheet-supply tray
A sheet-supply tray device for use with an image recording apparatus, includes a lower sheet-supply tray and an upper sheet-supply tray. The upper sheet-supply tray includes a main body, a leading-end stopper, a trailing-end stopper and a side-end stopper. The main body includes a support surface that supports a recording sheet. The leading-end stopper is fixed on the main body and stops a leading end of the recording sheet. The trailing-end stopper includes a trailing-end contact surface having a trailing-end protrusion extending over an upper surface of a trailing-end portion of the recording sheet toward the leading-end stopper. The trailing-end contact surface contacts a trailing end of the recording sheet. The side-end stopper includes a side-end contact surface that contacts a side end of the recording sheet. The side-end contact surface has at least one side-end protrusion extending over an upper surface of a side-end portion of the recording sheet.
SHEET SUPPLYING DEVICE
A sheet supplying device includes: an air blow opening configured to blow air to a side portion of an uppermost part of stacked sheets; and a flow adjuster extending from above the air blow opening over an edge of a top sheet of the stacked sheets and configured to cause an air flow blown from the air blow opening to travel along an upper surface of the top sheet of the stacked sheets.
SHEET FEEDING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
A sheet feeding device includes a sheet stacking base having a base surface for a sheet, a feeding member, and a pair of cursors. The pair of cursors includes first and second cursors that separate from and come close to each other along the sheet width direction, and is movable between first position and second position. The first and second cursors are separated by the maximum distance at the first position and by the minimum distance at the second position. The first cursor includes a movable base part, and a movable sub-cursor. When a narrow sheet is placed on the base surface, the sub-cursor is moved from the reference position toward the second cursor to be brought into contact with a side face of the narrow sheet to thereby position the narrow sheet.
SHEET FEEDING APPARATUS
A sheet feeding apparatus includes: a stacking part capable of stacking a plurality of sheet packs including a bundle of stacked printing sheets being wrapped with a wrapping sheet; a side surface remover that removes the wrapping sheet on a side surface being a wall surface along a stacking direction of the printing sheets among the wall surfaces of the sheet pack for each of the plurality of sheet packs stacked on the stacking part, a sensor that detects whether an uppermost sheet stacked on the stacking part in a detection range is the wrapping sheet; and a conveyer that conveys the detected wrapping sheet to a path different from a path through which the printing sheet is conveyed in a case where the wrapping sheet has been detected by the sensor.
Stacker device for flat items
A stacker device in an items processing system is a last station of a mail line. The stacker device has a receiving plate to receive flat items, a longitudinal alignment wall, graduated in at least two steps, at a rear side of the stacker device, and a stop wall that is arranged at the downstream end of the receiving plate.
Sheet feeding device and image forming apparatus incorporating the sheet feeding device
A sheet feeding device, which is included in an image forming apparatus, includes a sheet container to accommodate a recording medium, a sheet feeding body to press a surface of the recording medium in the sheet container and feed the recording medium in a sheet conveying direction, a pair of sheet position regulators to regulate a position of the recording medium in a sheet width direction perpendicular to the sheet conveying direction, and a load applier to contact the surface of the recording medium and apply a load to the recording medium at the surface. The recording medium is brought to move toward one of the pair of sheet position regulators while the recording medium is being fed. A lower face position in a standby state of the sheet feeding body is lower than a lower face position in a standby state of the load applier.
SHEET FEEDING SUB TRAY, SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE, IMAGE READING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet feeding sub tray is detachably attachable to a sheet loading stand of a sheet conveying device that includes a setting reference part on one end side of the sheet loading stand in a sheet width direction. The sheet feeding sub tray includes a small-size setting reference part disposed at a position closer to a center of the sheet loading stand in the sheet width direction than the setting reference part in a state in which the sheet feeding sub tray is installed to the sheet loading stand.
Medium feeder and image reading apparatus
A medium feeder includes a medium mounter, a pair of edge guides, and a sheet number limiter. The medium mounter has a mounting surface on which a medium to be fed is placed. The pair of edge guides is provided at the medium mounter to guide side edges of the medium in a direction that intersects with a feeding direction in which the medium is fed. The sheet number limiter is provided at the pair of edge guides to limit the number of media mountable on the medium mounter. The sheet number limiter has an extension that extends in a feeding direction of the medium such that a distance between the extension and the mounting surface increases downstream.
Image forming apparatus
A paper feeding unit of an image forming apparatus according to an exemplary embodiment is provided with a base portion, a guide, a protruding portion, and a roller. The base portion is capable of having the sheet placed thereon. The guide erects with respect to the base portion. The guide regulates a position of the sheet in a width direction which intersects with a transporting direction of the sheet. The protruding portion is provided on the guide. The protruding portion faces an end portion of the sheet in the width direction from a side opposite to the base portion. The roller is provided on the protruding portion. The roller is provided with a circumferential surface facing the end portion of the sheet. The roller is rotatable in the transporting direction of the medium.
