The base portion is capable of having the sheet placed thereon. The guide erects with respect to the base portion. The guide regulates a position of the sheet in a width direction which intersects with a transporting direction of the sheet. The protruding portion is provided on the guide. The protruding portion faces an end portion of the sheet in the width direction from a side opposite to the base portion. The roller is provided on the protruding portion. The roller is provided with a circumferential surface facing the end portion of the sheet. The roller is rotatable in the transporting direction of the medium.

A sheet feeding device, which is included in an image forming apparatus, includes a sheet container to accommodate a recording medium, a sheet feeding body to press a surface of the recording medium in the sheet container and feed the recording medium in a sheet conveying direction, a pair of sheet position regulators to regulate a position of the recording medium in a sheet width direction perpendicular to the sheet conveying direction, and a load applier to contact the surface of the recording medium and apply a load to the recording medium at the surface. The recording medium is brought to move toward one of the pair of sheet position regulators while the recording medium is being fed. A lower face position in a standby state of the sheet feeding body is lower than a lower face position in a standby state of the load applier.

A system includes a sheet holder configured to hold a sheet of blanks, the sheet of blanks including a first blank and a second blank attached to the first blank. A conveyor mechanism is configured to transport the sheet of blanks from the sheet holder to a separator mechanism. The separator mechanism is configured to apply a pulling force to the first blank. A resistance component is configured to apply a resistance force to the second blank to resist the pulling force. The pulling force and the resistance force are configured to separate the first blank from the second blank.

Sheet-supply tray
A sheet-supply tray device for use with an image recording apparatus, includes a lower sheet-supply tray and an upper sheet-supply tray. The upper sheet-supply tray includes a main body, a leading-end stopper, a trailing-end stopper and a side-end stopper. The main body includes a support surface that supports a recording sheet. The leading-end stopper is fixed on the main body and stops a leading end of the recording sheet. The trailing-end stopper includes a trailing-end contact surface having a trailing-end protrusion extending over an upper surface of a trailing-end portion of the recording sheet toward the leading-end stopper. The trailing-end contact surface contacts a trailing end of the recording sheet. The side-end stopper includes a side-end contact surface that contacts a side end of the recording sheet. The side-end contact surface has at least one side-end protrusion extending over an upper surface of a side-end portion of the recording sheet.

A sheet feeding device includes a recording-medium container member that contains a recording medium; a restriction member that extends, at a downstream side of the recording-medium container member in a transporting direction of the recording medium, from one end side of the recording-medium container member in a width direction toward a location above the recording medium contained in the recording-medium container member, the restriction member including a restricting portion that restricts upward movement of the recording medium; and a guide member provided at the one end side of the recording-medium container member in the width direction and located upstream of the restriction member in the transporting direction of the recording medium, the guide member pressing the recording medium toward the other end side of the recording-medium container member in the width direction to adjust the transporting direction of the recording medium.

A document validating/stacking device is provided that has a validator 1 provided with a swingable rocker 10 formed with a head 16 and a stacker 2 detachably attached to validator 1. Stacker 2 comprises an X-linkage 20 having a driver arm 41 that is separably pushed by head 16 in the same rotational direction as head 16 swings to expand X-linkage 20, to thereby move pusher plate 18 from the initial position to the extended position and to stow the document within interim chamber 24 into storage 7.
Sheet feeder and image forming apparatus
A sheet feeder includes a tray configured to load a sheet to be fed thereon. The tray has a tray upper face and a pair of cursors. The tray upper face has a recessed portion, a guide plate and a feeding route. The recessed portion extends along the width direction on an upstream side from the pair of cursors in the feeding direction. The guide plate is configured to cover an upper side of the recessed portion. The feeding route is formed between the recessed portion and the guide plate and extending from an inlet port positioned on an upstream side to an outlet port positioned on a downstream side along the feeding direction. The sheet in a state of being passed through the feeding route is aligned with the pair of cursors on the tray upper face and then fed.
Sheet stackable device and image forming apparatus
A sheet stackable device including a sheet stackable bin and a first edge guide is provided. The first edge guide is slidable in a first direction. The sheet stackable bin includes a first rail to guide the first edge guide, a second rails to guide the first edge guide, and teeth arranged along the first direction. The first edge guide includes a first protrusion configured to contact the first rail along a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, a second protrusion configured to contact the second rail, a locking part engageable with the teeth, and a handle to disengage the locking part from the teeth. The handle is arranged in a position between the first rail and the second rail with regard to the second direction.
