MEDIUM PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM INCORPORATING SAME
A medium processing apparatus includes a conveyor, a liquid applier, and a crimper. The conveyor conveys a medium in a conveyance direction. The liquid applier applies liquid to a liquid application position on the medium conveyed by the conveyor. The crimper presses and deforms the liquid application position on a plurality of media including the medium to bind the plurality of media. The liquid applier includes a liquid application rotator configured to rotate, in contact with the medium conveyed by the conveyor, about a pivot extending in a main scanning direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction of the medium and to a thickness direction of the medium, to apply the liquid to the medium.
SHEET BINDING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
Disclosed herein is a sheet binding apparatus that comprises a first binding unit provided and a second binding unit configured to perform needle binding on sheets, and a second binding unit configured to perform non-needle binding on sheets. A needle replenishing position where needles are replenished in the first binding unit is set in the vicinity of the second binding unit.
BINDING UNIT, SHEET PROCESSING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE PROVIDED WITH THEM
A sheet processing device has a binding unit that applies water to a crimping range of sheets and then crimps the sheets. The sheet processing device includes a processing tray on which sheets are placed, a pair of pressure teeth (pressure teeth and receiving teeth) that crimps the sheets placed on the processing tray at a crimping position with the sheets interposed therebetween, and a water application member (cylinder and piston) that applies water to the crimping position before crimping by the pressure teeth. When the number of sheets placed on the processing tray is equal to or less than a predetermined number, the sheets are crimped by the pressure teeth without water application; while when the number of sheets placed on the processing tray exceeds the predetermined number, the sheets are crimped by the pressure teeth after water application.
Support mechanism for processing unit in sheet processing device
The present invention is to provide a processing unit which can move smoothly to accurate position in a proper posture. The processing unit is provided with a support mechanism that supports a processing unit 26 so as to allow the processing unit 26 to be moved to a sheet processing position (processing tray) 24. The support mechanism includes the processing unit 26 and first and second support portions 50 and 55 that support the processing unit 26. The first and second support portions 50 and 55 apply, to different positions (j and k) of the processing unit 26 which are spaced from each other, a support force Fa acting from below to above (in a direction opposite to a gravity acting direction) and a support force Fb acting from above to below (in a direction same as the gravity acting direction), respectively.
BINDING PROCESSING DEVICE
A binding processing device includes a first pressing member including: a first convex portion; a first concave portion; and a first connection portion which is provided between the first convex portion and the first concave portion; and a second pressing member including: a second convex portion; a second concave portion; and a second connection portion which is provided between the second convex portion and the second concave portion. In a state in which the first convex portion of the first pressing member and the second concave portion of the second pressing member come in contact with each other at the first connection portion and the second connection portion, the first connection portion contacts with the second connection portion and a gap is formed between the first convex portion and the second concave portion along a pressing direction of the first and second pressing members. In a state in which a sheet bundle is sandwiched between the first pressing member and the second pressing member, an increased section having an increased thickness of each sheet of the sheet bundle is formed in the gap. The increased section is pressed by the first convex portion and the second concave portion.
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM HAVING THE SAME
A sheet processing apparatus includes a conveying portion, a first stack portion on which sheets conveyed are stacked, a first regulating portion which regulates a position of a sheet bundle in a crossing direction crossing to the sheet transport direction, a second regulating portion which regulates a position of a sheet bundle in the conveying direction, a first binding portion binding a corner portion of the sheet bundle by a staple, a second binding portion which binds a corner portion of a sheet bundle without a staple, a second stack portion which stacks a sheet bundle discharged from the first stack portion, and a lifting-lowering motor which lifts and lowers the second stack portion. The lifting-lowering motor is located at a downstream, in the conveying direction, of a first binding position where the first binding portion binds a sheet bundle.
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS
There is provided a sheet post-processing apparatus capable of performing eco-stapling processing to prevent a decrease in binding force by the thickness of a sheet with a simple arrangement by changing a stapling count depending on the grammage and size of a sheet and the number of sheets in consideration of the change in binding force caused by the sheet size.
BINDING PROCESSING DEVICE
A binding processing device includes: a needle binding unit that forms a needle binding portion that binds a paper bundle using a needle; a needleless binding unit that forms a needleless binding portion that binds the paper bundle without using a needle; and a plurality of exit rolls that exit the bound paper bundle. A distance between the needleless binding portion and a center of the plurality of exit rolls is equal to or longer than a distance between the needle binding portion and the center.
Sheet processing device and image forming system
A sheet processing device includes: a stacking unit configured to stack a plurality of sheets to obtain a sheet bundle; a stitched-sheet number acquiring unit configured to acquire a number of sheets in the sheet bundle, which is a target to be stitched; a permanent stitching unit configured to permanently stitch the sheet bundle; a temporary stitching unit configured to be capable of temporarily stitching a plurality of areas of the sheet bundle; a selecting unit configured to select any one of the permanent stitching unit and the temporary stitching unit to be used; and a stitching-process control unit configured to, when the temporary stitching unit is selected by the selecting unit, control the temporary stitching unit so as to change a number of areas that are stitched by the temporary stitching unit.
Image processing apparatus, control method for image processing apparatus, and program
In printing processing, an MFP determines whether the number of printed sheets is less than or equal to an upper limit of bindable sheets of staple-less binding in a case where staple-less binding is set in print data. If the MFP determines that the number of printed sheets is less than or equal to the upper limit, the MFP determines whether binding processing is to be performed by switching to staple-less binding. If the MFP determines to perform binding processing by switching, the binding processing is performed by staple binding.
