Provided is a stapler device installed to staple a bundle of papers processed and discharged from an image forming apparatus or a post-processing apparatus. The stapler device includes a stapler, and a moving unit installed to allow the stapler to reciprocate in a direction intersecting with a discharge direction of the bundle of papers. The moving unit may rotate the stapler outwardly such that a bundle of papers inserted from the outside in addition to the discharged bundle of papers is stapled in at least one end position of a range of the reciprocating movement.

Provided is a recording material processing apparatus including: a first binding processing unit that is provided to be capable of moving on a predetermined movement route and is configured to perform a binding process on a recording material; and a second binding processing unit that is installed on the predetermined movement route, is configured to perform the binding process on the recording material, and is configured to withdraw from the movement route by receiving force from the first binding processing unit which moves along the movement route.

A stapleless binding device includes a stapleless binding unit that performs a stapleless binding operation to form irregularities in a sheet stack by making forward and backward movements, a moving unit that relatively moves the stapleless binding unit or the sheet stack in a direction along one side of the sheet stack, and a holding unit that holds the sheet stack during the backward movement of the stapleless binding unit. The holding unit holds the sheet stack during the backward movement of the stapleless binding unit before the moving unit moves the stapleless binding unit or the sheet stack.

A binding device includes: a binding unit that forms multiple asperities on a recording material bundle constituted by rectangular recording materials, and binds the recording material bundle, wherein, in oblique binding in which the multiple asperities are arranged on a corner portion of the recording material bundle in a direction inclined to one of both sides constituting the corner portion of the recording material bundle, a binding position by the binding unit reaches at least one of the both sides constituting the corner portion of the recording material bundle, and, in parallel binding in which the multiple asperities are arranged along a side of the recording material bundle, a binding position by the binding unit does not reach any side of the recording material bundle.

A recording material processing apparatus includes: first teeth that are used for binding processing of a recording material bundle; second teeth configured to move toward the first teeth and to press the recording material bundle positioned between the first teeth and the second teeth; a first metal block configured to support the first teeth; and a second metal block configured to support the second teeth.
MEDIUM PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A medium processing apparatus for processing a medium ejected from an image forming apparatus includes a conveyor, a slit, a medium processing device, a stopper, and detectors. The conveyor conveys the medium ejected from the image forming apparatus. The slit communicates with an opening of a housing into which a medium is manually inserted from outside and includes a placement face on which the inserted medium is placed. The placement face has a first side and a second side orthogonal to the first side. The first and second sides are not parallel to a direction in which a side face of the housing extends. The medium processing device processes the medium conveyed by the conveyor or the medium placed on the slit. The stopper regulates edges of the medium along the first and second sides of the placement face. The detectors are disposed on the stopper to detect the medium.
Stapler apparatus
A stapler apparatus may be provided. More specifically, a stapler apparatus capable of automatically stapling a bundle of sheets output from an image forming apparatus such as a copy machine, a printer, a facsimile or the like may be provided. The stapler includes: a guide plate in which a slot having a branch structure has been formed; a moving frame which is reciprocatively movable on the guide plate; a rotation frame which is rotatable on the moving frame and includes a plurality of levers mounted thereon, the plurality of levers moving along the inside and outside of the slot or change paths; a path change member which changes a movement path of any one of the plurality of levers; and a stapler which is mounted on the rotation frame and is in conjunction with the rotation frame.

In one implementation, a system for a partially dried inkjet media finisher includes a media input zone to receive printed media, wherein the printed media is partially dried inkjet media, a transport zone to receive the printed media from the media input zone to lower the print media to an accumulation zone that is coupled vertically below the transport zone, wherein the accumulation zone organizes the received printed media, and the accumulation zone to lower the printed media to an output zone coupled vertically below the accumulation zone, wherein the output zone receives a completed print job from the accumulation zone.
BINDING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCORPORATING SAME
A binding device includes a receptacle, an aligner, a moving mechanism, first and second binders, and a guide. The aligner aligns a bundle of recording media in a width direction thereof on the receptacle. The moving mechanism moves the aligner in the width direction. A maximum thickness of the bundle of recording media boundable in the second binder is smaller than that in the first binder. The guide is movable conforming to the maximum thickness of the bundle of recording media boundable in the first binder, and conforming to that in the second binder, to guide and direct the bundle of recording media to a receiving portion of the first binder when the first binder binds the bundle of recording media, and to a receiving portion of the second binder when the second binder binds the bundle of recording media, respectively. The guide is movable in conjunction with the aligner.
