Fish receptacle
10188090 · 2019-01-29 ·

A fish receptacle. The fish receptacle includes a container having a hinged lid with a door assembly providing access to an interior of the container. The door assembly enables users to engage a fish, hands free, thereby enabling users to manipulate the fish and subsequently store it in the interior of the container without utilizing their hands. The door assembly includes an aperture and a frame therearound, wherein the aperture provides access to the interior of the container. The frame includes a track having rails and slot, wherein a sliding member is slidably disposed. The sliding member is movable between a closed position and an open position along the track, thereby enabling the sliding door assembly to be opened to expose the aperture and/or closed onto a fish to pin it against a wall of the frame for hands free manipulation.

Hoop net

The present invention is a hoop net comprised of netting mounted to two semicircular tubular rods, forming a ring that maintains its shape and structural integrity. The two semicircular tubular rods are fashioned to connect seamlessly by a fastening means that allows the entire assembly to function as intended. The hoop net assembly includes four stabilizing cords positioned equidistant from each other along the ring, which cords converge at the center of the hoop net assembly and are connected to each other by a fastening means, then further connected to a single draw cord. The draw cord is used to cast the assembled hoop net into water to a desired depth and pulled back into the boat with live bait. Once the hoop net assembly has been used, the metal rods are easily disconnected to facilitate folding the hoop net in half for easy storage and portability.

LIVEWELL OPERATION AND CONTROL FOR A VESSEL
20180365246 · 2018-12-20 ·

Livewells of a vessel are used to store caught fish, such as during fishing competitions. Example apparatuses, systems, and methods are provided herein that may track and use fishing information for efficient operation and control of livewells and the associated pumps. An example marine electronic device of a vessel comprises a user interface with a display screen, a processor, and memory including computer program code. The memory and the computer program code are configured to, with the processor, cause the marine electronic device to receive an indication of a fish catch and cause, in response to receiving the indication of the fish catch, a pump associated with a livewell of the vessel to one of fill the livewell with water or recirculate water in the livewell, wherein the water is pumped from a body of water in which the vessel is at least partially submerged.

LIVEWELL FOR FISHING BOATS
20240270353 · 2024-08-15 ·

Some fishing boats include a livewell system. This document describes livewell systems that have multiple modes of operation. The modes of operation include, at least, a first mode with a lower water level and a second mode with a higher water level. While the livewell is operating in the second mode, the tank is nearly full of water. Accordingly, with a nearly full tank, the water in the livewell will resist sloshing around while the boat is navigating rough seas or travelling at high speeds or for long distances. Moreover, the health of the fish in the livewell will be protected because of the water's lessened tendency to slosh around in the livewell.

A fishing caddy system which generally includes a rod holder assembly having at least one rod holder which may be rotatable to different angles to suit the user. There are hooks in the rod holder assembly for receiving the fishing line and thereby preventing the wind from blowing the line around, resulting in faster detection of catches. The rod holder assembly can be mounted to a universal mounting receiver which can be placed on any stationary body. Cup holders and other accessories may also be mounted in proximity to the rod holder assembly using other universal mounting receivers. An accelerometer may also be included which detects vibrations caused by the fishing line against the hook, alerting the user via LEDs or a wireless alert sent to the user's wireless computing device, such as a smart phone.
