A bag for conveniently holding fish in water safely and for weighing the fish during a fishing tournament. The bag comprises a polymeric material which is water tight but allows oxygen to pass into the bag and carbon dioxide to pass out of the bag. The bag is fold-able but when filled with water, the bag has no right angle corners where fish tend to congregate and crowd one another. An optional hoop is provided which integrates with the side wall of the bag and will force the shape of the bag to remain in a preferred more rounded configuration. One embodiment includes a sealable closure at the top to fixedly contain the water and fish.

The invention relates to a fishing system (102), a fish processing line (18, 22) and/or vessel (2) provided therewith, and a method (26) therefor. The fishing system (102) according to the invention comprises a fishing net (6) for catching shrimps or fish; transfer means (14, 15, 16) connected operatively to the fishing net (6) for bringing on board the caught shrimps or fish; an automatic detection device (18) configured to detect, classify and if desired sort the shrimps or fish brought on board; a registration system (104) connected operatively to the detection device (18) and configured to receive, store and read and/or transmit data (108) obtained with the detection device (18) about the shrimps or fish brought on board, wherein the data (108) comprise information about the quantity, classification and location of the caught shrimps or fish.

A live bait pen includes a porous housing having fence framework including a side framework portion, a container surface disposed within the side of framework portion configured for ease of removal of bait within the pen, and an openable lid operably disposed on a top of said side framework portion to provide easy insertion of bait in said pen.

A fish holding bag comprising a front panel and a rear panel. The front panel has at least a portion thereof being transparent and includes visible measurement markings thereon for measuring a length of a fish in the fish holding bag. The rear panel is connected to the front panel such that a fish holding area is located between the front panel and the rear panel. A bag includes a resealable closure for selectively opening and closing a top opening located between the front panel and the rear panel, with the top opening providing access to the fish holding area. A plurality of tabs extend outwardly from the front panel and rear panel and connected thereto, with each of the tabs having a grommet surrounding a hole in the tabs. The bag further includes a handle for holding the fish holding bag.

A system for converting a paddleboard into a gigging vessel includes a standard stand-up paddleboard outfitted with a conversion system. The conversion system includes a pair of opposing pontoons, a pair of opposing guards each adjacent to one pontoon, and retaining arms and retaining straps for securing pontoons and guards to the stand-up paddleboard. The system includes a pair of wheels that can be lowered for transportation across land, and raised for use in aquatic environments; lights; and a storage compartment for items and captured fish. In one embodiment the pontoons and guards can be folded up for transportation.

A lid is positionable on the bucket for closing the bucket and a cushion is applied to the lid to be set upon by a user. A frame is pivotally attached to the crate and the frame is positionable in a stored position or a deployed position. A plurality of fishing rod holders is each attached to the frame to hold fishing rods. A carrying member is attached to and extends upwardly from the crate and A pair of shoulder straps is each of the pair of shoulder straps is coupled between the carrying member and the crate for wearing over a respective one of the user's shoulders to carry the crate and the frame and the bucket on the user's back in the convention of a backpack.

A portable rod holder assembly includes a crate and a bucket positionable in the crate for transporting the bucket. A lid is positionable on the bucket for closing the bucket and a cushion is applied to the lid to be set upon by a user. A frame is pivotally attached to the crate and the frame is positionable in a stored position or a deployed position. A carrying member is attached to and extends upwardly from the crate and A pair of shoulder straps is each of the pair of shoulder straps is coupled between the carrying member and the crate for wearing over a respective one of the user's shoulders to carry the crate and the frame and the bucket on the user's back in the convention of a backpack.

Some fishing boats include a livewell system. This document describes livewell systems that have multiple modes of operation. The modes of operation include, at least, a first mode with a lower water level and a second mode with a higher water level. While the livewell is operating in the second mode, the tank is nearly full of water. Accordingly, with a nearly full tank, the water in the livewell will resist sloshing around while the boat is navigating rough seas or travelling at high speeds or for long distances. Moreover, the health of the fish in the livewell will be protected because of the water's lessened tendency to slosh around in the livewell.
