Image forming system with selective skew correction of continuous sheets, image forming apparatus with selective skew correction of continuous sheets, and skew correction method
An image forming system includes: a sheet conveying section configured to convey a long sheet; an image forming/fixing section configured to execute an image forming/fixing operation to form and fix a toner image on the long sheet to be conveyed by the sheet conveying section; a skew detection section configured to detect a skew of the long sheet to be conveyed by the sheet conveying section; a skew correction section configured to execute a skew correction operation to correct the skew of the long sheet; and a control section configured to perform control to execute the skew correction operation when the skew has been detected in a first area where the skew correction operation does not affect the image forming/fixing operation, and perform control to execute the skew correction operation when the skew has been detected in a second area where the skew correction operation affects the image forming/fixing operation.
Sheet aligning apparatus, image forming system and sheet post-processing apparatus
The present invention is to provide a sheet aligning apparatus that is capable of detecting misalignment. A control portion of a post-processing apparatus causes a front aligning member and a rear aligning member to be moved to an aligning position to align sheets conveyed to a processing tray, causes the front aligning member to be moved from the aligning position to a detecting position, and determines whether an electrostatic capacitance sensor detects misalignment (sheet shifting from a sheet bundle). When it is determined that the sensor detects misalignment, the front aligning member is moved from the detecting position to the aligning position so that sheets are realigned.

Header Cover
A header cover encloses an end of an unwoven material cylinder to protect the unwoven material from damage or debris during storage or transportation. Unwoven material cylinders are commonly used to produce products such as clean suits, baby diapers, absorbent material, etc. The header cover includes a cover disc, a plurality of lateral-interfacing flaps, and a tethering ring. The cover disc and the plurality of lateral interfacing flaps encapsulate an end of the unwoven material cylinder. The plurality of lateral-interfacing flaps is perimetrically and foldably connected to the cover disc to allow the header cover to fold over an edge of the unwoven material cylinder. The tethering ring is adjacently connected to each lateral-interfacing flap of the plurality of lateral-interfacing flaps, such that as one lateral-interfacing flap is folded, every lateral interfacing flap is folded in the same direction.
Method for monitoring a post print processing machine
A method and a device for monitoring a post print processing machine through which printed products are successively transported. An image recording device is assigned to the post print processing machine and connected to a computer unit for recording during each operating cycle an image series with at least two images of a printed product, spaced apart by a time interval. The images of the image series are transmitted to the computer unit and the images are displayed in real time on a display device that is connected to the computer unit.

Methods of processing a glass substrate and glass apparatus
Methods of processing a glass substrate comprise the step of obtaining a glass substrate and a tab removably attached to a portion of the glass substrate. The position of the glass substrate is manipulated with the engagement portion and the tab is removed from the portion of the glass substrate by releasing a mounting portion of the tab from the portion of the glass substrate without damaging the glass substrate. In further examples, methods include the steps of removably attaching first and second tabs to respective first and second surfaces of a glass substrate and coiling the glass substrate on a storage roll wherein the first tab adheres to the second tab. In further examples, a glass apparatus comprises a glass substrate and a removable tab including a mounting portion attached to a portion of the glass substrate with a first peel force of less than about 10 N/cm.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: a plurality of droplets ejecting members that are opposed to a continuous sheet being conveyed, are arranged in a sheet conveying direction, and eject droplets onto the continuous sheet; movement restriction members that restrict movement, in a sheet width direction, of one end portion, in the sheet width direction, of a portion, opposed to the droplets ejecting members, of the continuous sheet; and tension application members that give tension in the sheet width direction to the portion, opposed to the droplets ejecting members, of the continuous sheet in a state that movement, in the sheet width direction, of the portion, opposed to the droplets ejecting members, of the continuous sheet is restricted by the movement restriction members.
SHEET STORAGE DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMATION SYSTEM INCLUDING SAME
A sheet storage device includes a regulation cursor and a hold mechanism. The hold mechanism includes a guide shaft, and a stopper having a guide hole in which the guide shaft is inserted, and being capable of reciprocating with the regulation cursor. When the stopper is inclined to one side, movement of the regulation cursor is restricted. When the stopper is raised to the other side, movement of the regulation cursor is enabled. The stopper has a contact part that contacts the regulation cursor, so as to restrict the stopper from inclining to the other side, when the regulation cursor is enabled to move.
Apparatus and method for controlling the unwinding of a web
An apparatus (1) for controlling the unwinding of a web (2) wound on a core is disclosed. The apparatus (1) includes a turnbar (10), an actuator (20), a sensor (30), and a controller (70). The turnbar (10) includes a target location to receive the web (2). The actuator (20) is coupled to the turnbar (10) and includes an axis of movement (29). The sensor (30) measures transverse placement of the web (2) relative to the target location and transmits an input signal to the controller (70) when transverse placement of the web (2) differs from the target location. The controller (70) provides an output signal to the actuator (20 to move the turnbar (10) along the axis of movement (29) such that the web (2) maintains substantial alignment with the target location.
