This disclosure provides printing systems, printing methods, and assemblies for decurling a sheet of print medium. Print media can include paper or other media that can exhibit some tendency to deform when damp or exposed to a certain degree of moisture or moisture. This deformation can be undesirable and can affect the image quality or the perceived image quality of printed matter. To increase the energy efficiency of the procedure for unrolling sheets that have undergone deformation and increase productivity, the following curl unrolling unit is applied, which includes a frame attachable to a sheet collecting tray at an outlet of a printing device, a first corner component mounted on a frame containing a first sloping surface to receive a first corner of a leading edge of a sheet of print medium issued by the printing device, and a second corner component mounted on the frame, comprising a second sloping surface to receive a second corner of a leading edge of the sheet of print medium issued by the printing device.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion forming an image on an envelope having a flap, and a guide portion composing a sheet conveyance path through which the envelope is conveyed and having a plurality of ribs projecting from a base plane thereof to the sheet conveyance path. Each of the plurality of ribs is disposed aslant such that a downstream end thereof in a sheet conveying direction is located at a widthwise side end more than an upstream end thereof and includes an inclined surface inclined with respect to a base plane on a side surface upstream in the sheet conveying direction of the ribs. The inclined surface is formed such that 0<a45 holds, where a denotes an inclination angle of the inclined surface with respect to the base plane in the sheet conveying direction.

A stack of products is moved using a robot. The robot has an articulated arm and grippers on the articulated arm to grip the stack of products. The stack of products is selectively turned in the depositing scheme. Two grippers are used in the method and, upon the deposit, the grippers are removed from the stack of products in the horizontal and in two directions perpendicular to one another. It is possible to move and selectively deposit stacks of product in a turned or unturned orientation.

An apparatus for forming and sorting informational items comprises a folding unit, a conveyor belt, a camera, a controller, and a diverter assembly. The folding unit forms a folded article from a sheet of paper. The conveyor belt transports the folded article. The camera captures an image of the folded article as it passes by the camera. The controller receives and processes the image, and the diverter assembly causes the folded article to move off of the conveyor belt when the controller determines that the folded article fails to satisfy at least one predetermined criteria.
