Corrugated paperboard sheet feeding apparatus
Disclosed is a corrugated paperboard sheet feeding apparatus which comprises: a plurality of sheet feeding rollers rotatable to feed a bottommost one of a plurality of stacked corrugated paperboard sheets; an up-and-down member movable up and down with respect to the plurality of sheet feeding rollers; a drive motor; a motion conversion mechanism configured to convert a unidirectional rotation of the drive motor into a motion for causing the up-and-down member to be moved up and lowered, and transmit the converted motion to the up-and-down member; and an up-and-down control section configured to perform variable speed control for the unidirectional rotation of the drive motor, according to a given up-and-down speed control pattern, wherein the up-and-down control section is operable to change the up-and-down speed control pattern in conformity to a sheet length of the corrugated paperboard sheet in a feeding direction.
STACKER HOPPER WITH FEED INTERRUPT
A sheet stacking system includes a conveyor having a discharge end, a hopper at the discharge end configured to receive the sheets ejected from the discharge end and guide the sheets as they fall in a cascade path onto a platform associated with the hopper, the falling sheets forming a main stack on the platform, the hopper including a backstop facing the discharge end of the conveyor such that the sheets ejected from the discharge end impact against the backstop before forming the main stack, and a first accumulator having at least one first support extending through the backstop and shiftable from a retracted position to an extended position, the at least one first support being movable vertically relative to the backstop in the extended position from a raised location outside the cascade path to a lowered location in the cascade path.
SHEET STACKER AND METHOD FOR FORMING STACKS OF SHEETS
A sheet stacker including a sheet conveyor arrangement and a stacking bay, wherein sheets delivered by the sheet conveyor arrangement are formed into stacks; the stacking bay including a stacker platform. The stacker platform is provided with a vertical lifting and lowering movement with respect to a stationary supporting structure and is controlled to move downwards while a stack of sheets is formed thereon. The stacker platform supports a stack conveyor configured and controlled to perform at least an evacuation motion, to remove a completed stack from the stacking bay. The evacuation motion of the stack conveyor is oriented such that a completed stack is moved from the stacking bay onto an evacuation conveyor arranged under the sheet conveyor arrangement.
CORRUGATED PAPERBOARD SHEET FEEDING APPARATUS
A corrugated paperboard sheet feeding apparatus comprises: a plurality of sheet feeding rollers; a grate formed with a plurality of opening portions for receiving the sheet feeding rollers and configured to switch between contact and non-contact states of the corrugated paperboard sheet with respect to the sheet feeding rollers; and a suction box configured to suck the corrugated paperboard sheet downwardly by gaps between the sheet feeding rollers and the opening portions, wherein each of the gaps is formed to be 10 mm or less, and wherein the apparatus further comprises a mat switch for detecting an entry of a person into an area in a sheet feeding section, and a control device for stopping movement of the sheet feeding rollers and/or the grate when the mat switch is turned on.
SHEET STACKING APPARATUS HAVING ADJUSTABLE LENGTH CONVEYOR SECTION
A sheet stacking system for transporting sheets and depositing them in a stack includes a layboy, a transport conveyor downstream of the layboy, and a main conveyor downstream of the transport conveyor, the main conveyor having a frame and being supported by a conveyor support, a discharge end of the main conveyor being movable between a lowered position and a raised position relative to the conveyor support. The main conveyor intake end is configured to move from a first position when the main conveyor discharge end is in the lowered position to a second position when the main conveyor discharge end is in the raised position, and also a variable length conveyor between the transport conveyor and the main conveyor, the variable length conveyor having a discharge end connected to and movable with the main conveyor intake end and movable relative to the transport conveyor discharge end.
RECONFIGURABLE DIVERTER CONVEYOR
A conveyor includes a plurality of belt support assemblies each having a drive wheel assembly at one end and an idler wheel assembly at the other end. Each of the drive and idler wheel assemblies includes a motion converter for converting the rotational movement of a shaft into linear motion along the shaft and an actuator for selectively engaging the motion converter and the shaft. A controller controls the operation of the shafts and the actuators to selectively and individually control the location of each end of each belt assembly relative to one another and to a centerline of the conveyor.
