ADJUSTABLE CONVEYOR SYSTEM FOR A CONVERTING MACHINE
The present invention relates to a conveyor system (30) for transporting blanks (2) in a converting machine (1). The conveyor system comprises an endless first conveyor belt (32a) and a support structure (38). The support structure (38) comprising a plurality of rollers (56), each roller being attached to a roller frame (54) and arranged in a line, the roller frames being connected to each other by a connection mechanism (62). The connection mechanism (62) is extendable and retractable in the direction of transportation, such that a contact length (Lc) of the first conveyor belt is modified and all rollers remain in contact with the first conveyor belt.
SEPARATOR DEVICE FOR A CONVERTING MACHINE
The present invention relates to a separator device (22) for a folder-gluer machine, the separator device being configured to divide a shingled stream of folding boxes into separate batches, the separator device comprising a vertically movable separator head and at least one upper evacuation conveyor belt.
A lower conveyor system (30) has a lower evacuation conveyor belt, such that the folding boxes are pinched between and transported by the upper evacuation conveyor belt and the lower second conveyor belt in unison.
Device for feeding carton stacks
A feeding device for feeding stacks of standing flat-folded cartons to a receiving station, comprising a conveyor track having a flat bearing plane adapted to support the stacks, where the conveyor track comprises at least two rows of teeth where each row of teeth comprises a plurality of spaced apart teeth adapted to support the stacks of flat-folded cartons, where the teeth can be positioned in either an erected position or in a folded position, and where the feeding device comprises a guide track arranged along the bearing plane adapted to hold the teeth in the selected position, and where the guide track ends at an end region of the conveyor track, such that the teeth are unsupported at the end region. The advantage of the invention is that stacks of flat-folded cartons can be merged continuously at an outfeed region.
Cartoning machine
Cartoning machine comprising a magazine configured to store stacks of cardboard dies (F) and means for picking up and transporting the dies (F) to move the dies (F) along a path (FM, FS) between the magazine, an unfolding station (S) and a product insertion station (N). The magazine comprises two mobile storage units (M1, M2) for storing the stacked dies, each mobile storage unit (M1, M2) being configured to store a respective stack (P1, P2) of dies (F). Cyclically, each mobile storage unit is in a waiting position while the other unit is in an operating position in which the means for picking up and transporting the dies are arranged and active. The storage units (M1, M2) are arranged one on a right side (DT) and one on a left side (ST) of the machine with respect to said path.
Repositioning station
The repositioning station (200) allows a continuous shingled stream (120) of overlapping semirigid planar articles (100) to be transported on an incoming conveyor (122) along a transport circuit (204) onto an outgoing conveyor (302) so as to form a stack that can be carried away upon the outgoing conveyor (302). The repositioning station (200) includes a lateral deviation assembly (210) and may also include a final positioning assembly (212). The transport circuit (204) within the lateral deviation assembly (210) follows a generally ellipsoidal deviation path to veer the shingled stream (120) and also to pivot the articles (100) therein about a curvilinear axis (206) from a facedown position to an upright position. The outgoing conveyor (302) can carry the cartons (100) in a direction that is parallel to that of the incoming conveyor (122).
Automatic magazine loader for supplying carton blanks to carton magazine
A carton handling system for a carton blank magazine. The carton handling system includes a carriage assembly with a carton handling tool. The carriage assembly moves the carton handling tool in two axes of motion to receive a slug of carton blanks and to position the slug of carton blanks in the carton blank magazine. The carton handling system further includes a finger carried on the carton handling tool. The carton handling tool is movable to engage the finger with an underside of a fallen carton blank lying at an end of an advancing stack of blanks in the carton blank magazine so as to lift the fallen carton blank against a preceding blank at the end of the advancing stack of blanks. The carton handling tool is also movable to position the slug of carton blanks at an endmost blank in the advancing stack of blanks.
Stacker module for a converting machine
The present invention relates to a stacker module for a folder-gluer machine, the stacker module being located downstream of a transfer module in a direction of transportation of the folder-gluer machine and configured to receive folding boxes from a conveyor in the transfer module. The stacker module comprises a loading surface configured to receive a plurality of folding boxes in order to form a stack and to descend vertically as the number of folding boxes on the loading surface increases, and a linearly movable ejector configured to eject the stack from the loading surface. A front abutment guide configured to move between an abutment and a clearing position to retain and release the stack.
