20190168995 · 2019-06-06 ·

An elevator safety system comprises a plurality of door safety units, each door safety unit; a communication bus connecting the plurality of door safety units; a control unit connected to the communication bus for allowing communication between the plurality of door safety units and the control unit; and at least one position sensor configured for providing information about the current position of an elevator car within a hoistway. Each door safety unit is assigned to an elevator hoistway door and configured for monitoring a condition of the assigned elevator hoistway door. The control unit is configured for polling door safety units included in a subset S1, S2) of the door safety units which are located within a predetermined distance (D1, D2) from the current position of the elevator car.

ELEVATOR OPERATING DEVICE

An elevator operation device or car operation panel for users to input elevator operation commands. An elevator operation device includes an operation panel including a plurality of first button units, each of the plurality of first button units being configured to receive a corresponding first elevator operation command and to generate a first message indicating receipt of the first elevator operation command; a control unit configured to generate an elevator operation request based on the first message and to send the elevator operation request to a remote control device, wherein the plurality of first button units are in communication with the control unit via a serial bus.

Pneumatic elevator with pressure regulator

A pressure regulator includes a fluid transfer chamber defining one or more apertures. A flow control element is disposed within the fluid transfer chamber and is movable with respect to the fluid transfer chamber. An actuator is secured to the flow control element and is operable to move the flow control element with respect to the fluid transfer chamber to control fluid flow through the apertures in the fluid transfer chamber.

PASSENGER TRANSPORT SYSTEM WITH CENTRAL CONTROL UNIT AND MULTIPLE FIELD DEVICES WHICH COMMUNICATE WITH DATA TELEGRAMS PRIORITIZED BY WAITING PERIODS

A passenger transport system includes a central control unit for controlling system functions, field devices spatially distributed within the system, and a bus system transmitting data between the unit and the devices. The unit and/or the devices detect a current data transmission and the conclusion of the data transmission, and output different types of data telegrams that differ according to urgency. The unit and/or the devices output data telegrams only when no current data transmission is occurring and after a waiting period has elapsed since the conclusion of a previous data transmission. Each type of data telegram is assigned an individual waiting period on the basis of the respective urgency. Thus, a simple transmission prioritization is implemented during the data transmission, wherein each device can transmit data telegrams with different urgency and data telegrams of higher urgency are effectively transmitted with higher priority than data telegrams of lesser urgency.

PASSENGER TRANSPORT SYSTEM HAVING CENTRAL CONTROL UNIT AND MULTIPLE FIELD DEVICES HAVING AN OPTIMIZED FAILURE DETECTION METHOD

A passenger transport system includes a bus system transferring data between a central control unit and a plurality of field devices. In a failure detection method, the field devices are configured in an unbranched chain configuration and the control unit transmits a test telegram to a first field device to start a monitoring cycle during which each field device receiving the test telegram forwards the test telegram to a next field device in the chain. During the monitoring cycle, the control unit monitors a communication between the field devices occurring via the bus system, in order to detect when a field device does not forward the test telegram. A data volume transmitted via the bus system during the failure detection method is significantly reduced in comparison to conventional failure tests such that failures can be recognized more quickly and/or simpler hardware and/or software can be used.

COMMISSIONING AND UPGRADING REMOTE SOFTWARE/FIRMWARE USING AUGMENTED REALITY

A software commissioning system is provided. The software commissioning system includes an intermediary controller; equipment communicative coupled to the intermediary controller; and an augmenting device. The intermediary controller facilitates commissioning or updating operations. The augmenting device includes a scanner capturing information from one or more codes associated with the equipment. The augmenting device includes a control circuit automatically executing commissioning or updating operations with respect to the equipment and in response to the scanner capturing the information. During commissioning or updating operations, the control circuit communicates the information to a backend sub-system to initiate a remote verification service that verifies the equipment and causes the downloading of software for the equipment.

ELEVATOR REQUEST AUTHORIZATION SYSTEM FOR A THIRD PARTY

An elevator request authorization system is provided and includes a second server configured to grant an elevator use token upon request from a first server registerable with the second server for establishing secure communications between the second server and the first server. The first server is configured to be receptive of an elevator request relating to elevator usage by a user, to authenticate the user, to authorize the elevator usage by the user to which the elevator request relates, to request the elevator use token from the second server via the secure communications upon authentication and authorization and to deliver the elevator use token to the user upon receipt.

ELEVATOR SHORT-RANGE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
20190100406 · 2019-04-04 ·

An elevator system includes an elevator car (28) disposed in and constructed and arranged to move along a hoistway (26) generally defined by a stationary structure. A short-range communication system of the elevator system is configured to provide communication between the elevator car and the stationary structure, and may include a transceiver (62, 64) carried by the elevator car and a plurality of transceivers (66) spaced along the hoistway. A network coordinator (68) of the communication system is operatively coupled to the plurality of hoistway transceivers to provide uninterrupted communication.

ELEVATOR NETWORK FOR EMERGENCY OPERATION
20190100407 · 2019-04-04 ·

An emergency operation controller for an elevator is connected to other emergency operation controllers of their respective elevators through network, and each controller constitutes a node in the network. The controller generates and transmits an emergency condition detection message to other controllers in the network which constitute adjacent nodes to the controller when the controller detects an emergency condition, and receives an emergency condition detection message from other controllers which constitute adjacent nodes to the controller in the network when other controllers detect an emergency condition. The emergency condition detection message includes a propagation count. The propagation count is configured to be decremented by one, each time one controller transmits the emergency condition detection message to other controllers which constitute next adjacent nodes. The emergency condition detection message is continuously transmitted until the propagation count reaches to zero.
