Systems and methods for operation of elevators and other devices
Embodiments of systems and methods for digital control of elevator and other access gateways are described herein. More specifically, embodiments comprise systems and methods for retrofitting or outfitting elevator systems with digital control systems that can be universally applied to virtually every manufacturer's elevator systems.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY CALLING ELEVATOR/S
Aspects of the invention are directed towards a system and a method for automatically calling an elevator. One or more embodiments of the invention describe a method comprising steps of receiving, from an accessing device, a state of the accessing device associated with the premises and prompting a user of a user device to provide information based on the state. The method further comprising step of transmitting a request to the accessing device for automatically calling an elevator based on the information provided by the user.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING ELEVATOR DUAL COIL ELECTROMECHANICAL BRAKES
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a system for monitoring conditions of elevator braking assemblies. The system includes a processing device configured to receive an actual braking current data from the elevator braking assembly, determine a derivative, plot a derivative curve, determine a region of interest of the derivative curve that corresponds to an expected movement of the at least one mobile plate of the elevator braking assembly, determine whether a pair of inflection points occurred during the region of interest where one of the inflection points is a minimum point and the other is a maximum point, the maximum having a greater amplitude than the minimum point and occurring after the minimum point, and when the pair of inflection points does not occur during the region of interest, output an alert to the elevator controller to instruct the elevator controller to inhibit movement of the elevator cab.
Cloud based elevator dispatching resource management
Provided are techniques for performing cloud-based elevator dispatching resource management. The techniques include receiving usage information of one or more elevators of an elevator system, obtaining configuration parameters of a controller configured to control the one or more elevators, and analyzing a performance of the one or more elevators based at least in part on the usage information. The techniques also include dynamically updating the configuration parameters of the controller based on the performance and the usage information, storing the configuration parameters and corresponding performance, and operating the one or more elevators based at least in part on the updated configuration parameters.
Conveyance system video analytics
According to an aspect, a method includes capturing image data from a video camera at a conveyance system. Analytics of the image data can be initiated to determine a plurality of conditions of the conveyance system. A status of the conditions can be summarized as a metadata output. The metadata output can be transmitted to a support system operable to initiate a corrective action responsive to the status of the conditions.
DISTRIBUTED PROCESSING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING ELEVATOR CALL REQUEST
A distributed processing system for processing an elevator call, a method for processing an elevator call using the distributed processing system, and a computer readable storage medium on which a computer program for realizing an elevator call generation method is stored. A distributed processing system for processing an elevator call includes a plurality of wireless communication modules deployed in an elevator service area, each of the wireless communication modules is associated with one or more call units and configured to: perform a call assignment operation in response to an elevator call from a terminal device specifying it as a target wireless communication module; and return a message about call assignment to the terminal device.
DETERMINING FLOOR NAME BASED ON AUDIO AND/OR VISUAL SAMPLES
A processor obtains an audio sample captured by an audio sensor associated with a device and/or image data captured by an image sensor associated with the device. The image data comprises a representation of one or more elevator buttons. The processor analyzes the audio sample to identify a floor name indicator in the audio sample and/or the image data to identify an activated elevator button from among the one or more elevator buttons represented by the image data; and determines a floor name based on the floor name indicator identified in the analyzed audio sample and/or a floor name indicator associated with the identified activated elevator button in accordance with the analyzed image data. The processor causes the determined floor name to be stored and/or provided for positioning purposes.
ELEVATOR CAR IDENTIFICATION AND TRACKING
An illustrative example embodiment of an elevator system includes a plurality of elevator cars, a plurality of car identifiers, a plurality of location identifiers, and a controller. Each of the car identifiers is associated with one of the elevator cars and provides a unique identification to the associated elevator car. Each of the location identifiers is configured to be situated in a selected location of the elevator system and provides a unique identification to the selected location. The controller determines a location of each of the elevator cars based on at least one indication of the associated car identifier being at the location of a corresponding one of the location identifiers.
Automatic fault clearing for elevators, escalators and automatic doors
A device and a method for controlling an apparatus being an elevator, an escalator or automatic doors are provided, by which it is detected whether a fault is present in the apparatus. It is determined, when the fault is present, whether an automatic fault clearing may be carried out, and if it is determined that the automatic fault clearing may be carried out, the automatic fault clearing is performed by automatically clearing one or more faults.
