The system performs operations that include receiving a request from a requestor to install a software upgrade on a controller of an elevator component, the software upgrade dependent on at least one software program being installed on the controller. It is determined whether the at least one software program is installed on the controller. Based at least in part on determining that the at least one software program is installed on the controller: an elapsed time to complete the installation of the software upgrade on the controller is predicted; and an indication is output to the requestor that the software upgrade is permitted to be installed on the controller and the predicted elapsed time to complete the installation.

The mobile terminal device is configured to generate to the elevator control unit at least one control signal comprising an instruction to activate the plurality of the signalization elements according to a predetermined activation pattern. The elevator control unit is configured to activate the plurality of the signalization elements according to the predetermined activation pattern for generating inspection information in response to receiving the at least one control signal. The invention relates also to for generating inspection information of a plurality of signalization elements of an elevator system.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING ELEVATOR SERVICE
A method for providing elevator services includes: generating a dispatch command for stopping an elevator to a departure floor of a target device with self-propelled capability in response to an elevator reservation message from a computer system, wherein the elevator reservation message includes an identification of the target device and an identification of the departure floor; instructing the computer system to send a confirmation message to the target device, the confirmation message includes a password associated with the target device; after the elevator stops at the departure floor of the device and before starting the elevator, determining whether a state of the car satisfies set conditions, wherein the set conditions at least include: an identity authentication of the device in the car based on the password has passed; and if the set conditions are satisfied, the elevator is started; otherwise, the elevator is prohibited from starting.
SAFETY MONITORING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR MONITORING THE SAFETY OF AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM
A safety monitoring device of an elevator system having a shaft extending over at least two floors has a safety circuit with door contact switches being closed or opened accordingly when a respective shaft door is closed or opened. The door switches form an electrical series circuit that is electrically broken to block the elevator car from moving when any of the door switches is opened. The monitoring apparatus has at least one bypass switch that actuates a first door switch for a first shaft door on a first floor such that, when the elevator car reaches the first floor, the bypass switch bypasses the first door switch to switch the safety circuit independently of the first door switch. A monitoring means of the monitoring apparatus monitors the switching state of the safety circuit and/or of a second door switch for a second shaft door on a second floor.
