CALL PANEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A CALL PANEL
A call panel of an elevator system includes at least one touch-sensitive display. On the surface of the touch-sensitive display are embossed marks, e.g. Braille characters, and embossed lines connecting them, as well as function buttons associated with the embossed marks.
APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING ELEVATOR RIDE INFORMATION
A device for providing elevator ride information includes a plurality of prompting modules. Each prompting module includes a sensor and a light-emitting unit, the sensor is configured to sense presence of an object to be transported above the prompting module. The prompting module further includes a control unit coupled with the plurality of prompting modules and configured to perform at least one of the following operations: i) in response to an event of car door opening, for the prompting module that does not sense the presence of the object to be transported, conditionally or unconditionally causing the light-emitting unit contained in the prompting module to enter a first operating state; ii) in response to an event of the car being about to arrive or having arrived at a destination floor, causing the light-emitting unit contained in all or some of the prompting modules to enter a second operating state.
DEVICE FOR INPUTTING ELEVATOR CALL COMMANDS AND ELEVATOR CONTROL SYSTEM
A device for inputting an elevator calling command and an elevator control system including the device. A device for inputting an elevator calling includes one or more button units, each of the button units including a switching element and a variable resistance circuit coupled with the switching element. The variable resistance circuit includes a button switch and a display element coupled in parallel, and a resistance value of the variable resistance circuit varies with a state of the button switch. The device further includes a control unit configured to determine a state of a corresponding button switch based on the resistance value of the variable resistance circuit within each of the button units, and to apply a pulse width modulation signal having different duty cycles onto a control terminal of a corresponding switching element based on the state as determined.
Method and arrangement for determining a current precise position of an elevator car in an elevator hoistway
A method and position determining arrangement determine a current precise position of an elevator car driven by a drive engine along a hoistway. An encoder cooperating with the drive engine provides a first signal indicating with a high precision the position of the car within a partial hoistway range extending along a fraction of the entire car travel path. A rough position indicator provides a second signal indicating with a low precision the position of the car within the hoistway. A current rough position of the car is determined based on the second signal and deviating from an exact real position of the car up to an first inaccuracy length; and the current precise position of the car is based on the first signal taking into account the current rough position and deviating from the exact real position up to a second inaccuracy length smaller than the first inaccuracy length.
Elevator switch monitoring device
An illustrative example embodiment of a switch monitoring device includes a controller configured to command a switch to enter at least one of a conducting state and a non-conducting state. A monitoring circuit conducts current when the switch is in the conducting state. A comparator provides an output indicating a relationship between a voltage of a selected portion of the monitoring circuit and a threshold voltage. The controller determines a condition of the switch based on the output of the comparator and the command.
