According to an embodiment there is provided a building automation system control apparatus comprising building automation system control logic configured to receive signaling from entities connected to a building automation system and to cause transmission of control signaling to the entities connected to the building automation system, wherein the building automation system control logic comprises elevator control logic as an integral part to directly control an elevator system comprising one or more elevators, the building automation system control logic being configured to take into account signaling received from the entities connected to the building automation system when determining control signaling for the elevator system; and the building automation system control logic being configured to take into account signaling received from the elevator system when determining control signaling for the entities connected to the building automation system.
ELEVATOR INSTALLATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
An elevator installation system and method is disclosed that includes a support structure having a first surface and a second surface. The support structure is oriented such that the first surface faces in a first direction and the second surface faces in a second direction opposite the first direction. The system further includes a hoist supporting the support structure such that at least a portion of the hoist is positioned facing the second surface.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING ELEVATOR CAR OPERATING PANEL CONDITION
An illustrative example method of determining a condition of an elevator car operating panel includes controlling a plurality of light sources of the car operating panel to turn on all of the light sources. An image of the car operating panel is obtained that indicates an actual illumination of all of the light sources, respectively. A determination is made, based on the obtained image, if there are any differences between an expected illumination and the actual illumination of any of the light sources. An indication of the condition of the elevator car operating panel is provided that includes information regarding any determined differences between the expected illumination and the actual illumination.
ELEVATOR ARRANGEMENT TO OPEN THE ROOF OF AN ELEVATOR CAR
The invention relates to an elevator arrangement comprising an elevator with a control system, and an inspection or maintenance mode, which elevator further comprises an elevator car arranged to run up and down in an elevator shaft along its guide rails, and which elevator car is equipped with a roof and a car operating panel. The arrangement comprises actuating means to open the roof of the elevator car, which actuating means are operatively connected to the car operating panel of the elevator.
Elevator Fixture Magnetic Slide Latch and Control Box Equipped Therewith
An elevator call box with internal, concealable latching mechanism comprises an internally disposed, cylindrical magnetic pin with a relatively low pull force that is slidably displaceable by an larger, external magnetic force supplied by a service technician. When the access door is closed, magnetic pin penetrates an orifice in a locking tab to lock the call box. The pin magnet is normally attracted to an adjacent, magnetically attractive clip snap-fitted to a latching block. The latch is externally disengaged via a stronger portable magnet carried by service personnel. The larger magnetic pull force of the portable magnet slidably displaces the smaller magnetic latch pin, freeing the locking tab to permit pivotal opening of the access door. Once the stronger magnet is moved away, the smaller magnetic pin, which is attracted magnetically to the clip, will return to it's rest position penetrating the locking tab and locking the control.
Configuring terminal devices
An electronic terminal device can be configured using a device identifier that is input into the device. The terminal device sends the device identifier to a configuration server. The configuration server responds by sending configuration information to the terminal device based on the device identifier.
ELEVATOR EMERGENCY OPERATION DEVICE
The present invention provides an elevator emergency operation device, comprising a box having an opening, an operation board, and a middle board. The operation board is provided with electronic devices thereon, and the face of the operation board provided with electronic devices is perpendicular to the plane on which the opening is located. Moreover, the operation board can be disposed inside the box in a manner that it can be pulled through the opening. The middle board is fixed, via a first side thereof, to the operation board, and the middle board is parallel to the plane on which the opening is located. An electric motor operation device, and an elevator apparatus comprising said electric motor emergency operation device or elevator operation device are further provided.
ELEVATOR INSTALLATION AND OPERATING AND/OR DISPLAY PANEL FOR AN ELEVATOR INSTALLATION
A landing door of an elevator system includes a door leaf that is equipped with an integrated operating and/or display panel. In the event of a fire, a printed circuit board of the operating and/or display panel is removed from the door leaf by activation of an ejection device comprising intumescent material and being positioned in the door leaf.
ELEVATOR ARRANGEMENT ADAPTED FOR SOUND-BASED DETERMINING OF POSITIONS OF FIXTURES AT VARIOUS FLOORS
An elevator arrangement includes a car, an elevator control having car position current information, a plurality of fixtures, at least one sound generator at one of the car and each of the fixtures, and at least one sound detector at the other of the car and each of the fixtures. A fixture position learning procedure includes: travelling the car to and, preferably, stopping at each of the floors; at each floor stop, generating a sound signal from the sound generator at the car or the fixture at the floor stop, detecting the sound signal using the sound detector, determining a position information for the fixture at the floor stop by assigning information on a current position of the car from the elevator control, and storing the position information for subsequent identification purposes, whereby the identity/position of each of the fixtures is determined in the automatically performed learning procedure.
ELEVATOR ARRANGEMENT ADAPTED FOR DETERMINING POSITIONS OF FIXTURES AT VARIOUS FLOORS BASED ON SOUND MEASUREMENTS
An elevator arrangement has a car displaceable within an elevator shaft between building floors, an elevator control and a fixture located at each floors and connected to the elevator control for an exchange of information. Each fixture includes a sound detector detecting sound propagating within the shaft. The arrangement performs a fixture position learning procedure by determining position information for each fixture based on sound characteristics detected by the sound detector and storing the determined position information for subsequent identification of each of the fixtures. Changes in sound characteristics are detected while the car is displaced through the shaft. Time-dependent occurrences of sound pressure peaks or frequency shifts due to Doppler effects are measured at the fixtures and fixture position information is derived from a sequence order of such occurrences or, alternatively, by correlating the occurrence of sound characteristic changes with current car position information provided by the elevator control.
