ELEVATOR CAR WITH MOVING EMERGENCY STOP DEVICE
An elevator car (2) includes a roof (4) and an emergency stop device (6) mounted on the roof (4). The emergency stop device (6) is mounted to move between a first position (8) on the roof (4) during a normal operation mode and a second, different position on the roof (4) during an inspection mode. For example, the emergency stop device (6) is movably mounted to a safety balustrade (12) installed on the roof (4). A safety volume (30) may therefore be positioned to align better with a maintenance area (22) on the roof.
LOW OVERHEAD COMPENSATORY MEASURE
An elevator car (1) comprises a working platform (4) moveable between a stowed position, at an upper part (3) of the elevator car (1), and an operational position, suspended from the upper part (3) of the elevator car (1) to be inside the elevator car (1). At least one stop (6a, 6b) is located at the upper part (3) of the elevator car (1). The at least one stop (6a, 6b) is moveable between a retracted position and a deployed position. In the deployed position, the at least one stop (6a, 6b) extends away from the upper part (3) of the elevator car (1) to provide an upper safety space (53) above the elevator car (1).
Safety system for a service space within an elevator shaft
The invention concerns a safety arrangement of an elevator facility for safeguarding a work environment in an elevator shaft by actuating an actuator ensuring that an elevator car is not moving unintentionally during a safety situation, the elevator facility having a control system to which the safety arrangement is connected. According to the invention the safety arrangement comprises hydraulic activation means including a suspended floating platform being vertically movable, under which platform a sensing hydraulic cylinder is installed for activating the actuator upon loading of the platform.
ELEVATOR ASSEMBLY WITH COUNTERWEIGHT BLOCKING STOP
An elevator assembly (1) comprises an elevator car (2), a counterweight (4), and a safety device (8) located on a roof (9) of the elevator car (2). A locking handle (10) is positioned within the elevator shaft (6), and connected to a first end (12a) of a tension member (12). A blocking stop (14) is connected to a second end (12b) of the tension member (12). The blocking stop (14) is moveable between an inactive state, in which the tension member (12) holds the blocking stop (14) in a position in which it does not limit downwards movement of the counterweight (4), and an active state, in which tension in the tension member (12) is reduced to allow the blocking stop (14) to move to a position in which it limits downwards movement of the counterweight (4).
ELEVATOR TRAVEL BLOCKING APPARATUS
A travel blocking apparatus for blocking the movement of a car movably disposed in a hoistway. The travel blocking apparatus includes a flapper mechanism attached to the car and configured, when deployed, to extend an arm outside of an outer side periphery of the car and a prop device disposed in the hoistway and configured to contact the arm when said arm is extended so as to stop the car from moving downwardly in the hoistway.
METHOD FOR OPERATING AN ELEVATOR FOR MAINTENANCE
A method for operating an elevator for maintenance is performed on an elevator having a car, an elevator shaft, wherein the car is displaceable along the elevator shaft, a drive displacing the car, a plurality of shaft doors, at least one of the shaft doors being arranged at each of multiple floors including at least a lowermost floor and a uppermost floor, and an elevator control unit. The elevator control unit performs among others the method steps of: checking whether a person is within a predefined danger zone, wherein the predefined danger zone preferably is the elevator shaft; and switching from the maintenance mode back into a normal operation mode when there is no person within the predefined danger zone.
CONTROLLING MOVEMENT OF AN ELEVATOR CAR
An elevator car (60) defining an interior space (61) comprises at least one opening (66) providing a passage between the interior space (61) and the exterior of the elevator car (60), and at least one sensor (82) configured for detecting any object (75) extending through the at least one opening (66).
Elevator operation and service panel
A multi-use interface for use in an elevator includes an input device to receive input and a selection device associated with the input device, the selection device to select between an operation mode and a service mode, wherein the operation mode allows the input device to receive a standard elevator function input, the multi-use interface generating a standard elevator function output in response to the standard elevator function input, and the service mode allows the input device to receive a service function input, the multi-use interface generating a service function output in response to the service function input.
Maintenance safety device for elevator and a operation method thereof
The present invention provides a maintenance safety apparatus for an elevator system and a method for operating the same, and belongs to the technical field of elevators. The maintenance safety apparatus of the present invention comprises a safety switch, a door lock device, a linkage control assembly and a linkage locking assembly. The maintenance safety apparatus of the present invention is very simple to operate and is capable of ensuring the safety of the staff entering a hoistway for performing maintenance operations.
Safety devices, lift systems with safety devices and methods of operating lift systems with safety devices
A safety device of a lift system may include a car, an evaluation device, and a measuring device. Conditions where departure from a door zone with an open car door or where impermissible accelerations/speeds are reached within the door zone are identifiable by way of the evaluation device and output signals from the measuring device. In such conditions, a control signal may be generated for braking the car. A safety circuit may be connected to the evaluation device and ensure a first safe zone in a shaft head of a lift shaft during an inspection run. The safety circuit may have a safety switch, and the car may include a tripping means for tripping the safety switch. The safety switch and the tripping means have a first relative position upon which the first safe zone is based, and entry of the car into the first safe zone during the inspection run is preventable by tripping the safety switch, which leads to generation of the control signal and braking of the car.
