Dynamic elevator door control

A method for dynamic elevator door control is provided. The method is implemented by a system, which includes an elevator. The system procures passenger data, which can include a number of passengers presently travelling to a floor and a number of passengers awaiting to board at the floor. A determination is made by the system with respect a door operational time based on the passenger data. The system implements the door operational time to dynamically cause doors providing access to the elevator to remain open for a duration of the door operational time.

A method for generating maintenance data of an elevator door system includes detecting a first event during closing or opening of a door of the elevator door system and defining a time stamp of the first event, wherein the first event is opening or dosing of a safety circuit; detecting at least one second event during said closing or opening of the door of the elevator door system and defining time stamp of the at least one second event; defining a difference value by comparing the time stamp of the first event and the time stamp of the at least one second event; comparing the difference value to previously stored one or more difference values; and generating maintenance data of the elevator door system. A system is provided to perform at least partly the method.

Method and arrangement for closing doors of an elevator of a multi-car elevator shaft system

The invention relates to a method and arrangement for closing doors of an elevator that comprises at least an elevator shaft, a car running along guide rails, in the shaft and equipped with a car door, landing doors at each landing floor, a hoisting machinery, a necessary roping system and shaft equipment, and a control system for controlling the activities of the elevator. According to traffic situations controlled by the control system of the elevator the door open time of the car doors and landing doors is reduced by speeding up the closure of the doors, and at the same time the passengers are informed about the speed-up.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR STALL CONTROL OF ELEVATOR DOOR

A method of updating a stall threshold level of an elevator door to control a door stall occurring during opening or closing of the elevator door includes determining an exceptional motion count of a door based on at least one of a speed and an acceleration of the door, determining whether the door is stalled, based on a determined exceptional motion count of the door and a preset stall threshold level of the door, and re-determining the stall threshold level of the door according to the determination of whether the door is stalled.

ELEVATOR SYSTEM WITH ADAPTIVE DOOR CONTROL
20180265333 · 2018-09-20 ·

Methods and systems to control an elevator door of an elevator car that can be moved between floors of a building. At least one registered destination call is evaluated, which makes it possible to plan the number of boarding or exiting passengers for each stopping floor. For each stopping floor, a corresponding door dwell time for the elevator door is determined to make it possible for a registered passenger to board or exit on a stopping floor. The number of passengers that exit the elevator car on the stopping floor and the number of passengers that board the elevator car on the stopping floor is also determined. The elevator door is closed regardless of the set door dwell time if the number of passengers boarding and exiting on the stopping floor determined by the sensor system corresponds to the number of boarding or exiting passengers planned for the stopping floor.

Sensor fusion for passenger conveyance control

A fusion based passenger tracking system includes one or more 2D/3D sensors for capturing 2D/3D data; one or more security sensors for capturing security data; and a processing module in communication with the one or more 2D/3D sensors to receive the 2D/3D data, and the one or more security sensors to receive the security data, the processing module uses the 2D/3D data and the security data to calculate passenger data to generate a passenger tracking list that tracks each individual passenger in the passenger data.

Method for determining moving mass of a door system

A method for determining moving mass of a door system, actuated by a motor, wherein a) the motor electrical output, which is converted into mechanical output, is measured, b) the electrical output is summed during opening and/or closure, starting from the beginning of the actuation of the mass by the motor from initial rest until an end rest position is reached following completion of the actuation to determine energy losses, c) measurement of the maximum speed of the mass of the door system is measured during opening and/or closure, d) the electrical output provided by the motor from the initial rest position of the mass of the door system until achieving the maximum speed v thereof is summed, and the obtained energy value is reduced by the energy losses occurring up to this time point to determine the mass of the door system from the obtained kinetic energy.

Touchless gesture recognition for elevator service

A method for provisioning elevator service includes sensing, by a gesture interface including a sensor, a region in proximity to the gesture interface to obtain data; determining, by the gesture interface, that a first pattern in the data corresponds to a first gesture; and initiating a request for elevator service in response to determining that the first pattern corresponds to the first gesture.
