Retrofit touchless interfaces for contact-based input devices
A retrofit interface apparatus interfaces with a target device to provide the target device with touchless user input. The apparatus comprises: a touchless sensing system comprising one or more sensors responsive to touchless input made by a human user and for generating one or more corresponding sensor input signals; a controller connected to receive the one or more sensor input signals from the touchless sensing system and configured to generate, based on the one or more sensor input signals, a corresponding control signal; and the controller connectable to the target device to bypass a touch-based input of the target device and to provide the control signal as an input to an existing control system of the target device to thereby cause the control system of the target device to operate the target device based on the control signal.
Touch-sensitive call-giving device
A destination call-giving device for giving destination calls in an elevator system includes a device available to a user for selecting a destination floor from a plurality of floors that are in a certain sequence, and an output for communicating the selected destination floor to the control system of the elevator system. The device for selecting a destination floor includes a touch-sensitive display forming a user interface for presenting to the user information related to the selection of a destination floor and for receiving the input of the user. The destination floor is arranged to be selectable by the user from the aforementioned plurality of floors by moving a touch-sensitive point on a touch-sensitive display.
Arrangements for maintaining favorite floor lists in elevator systems
The present invention discloses a solution for maintaining passenger-specific favorite floor lists in an elevator system, which comprises at least one elevator, call-giving devices for registering calls given by the passengers, a control system that is responsive to the aforementioned calls and memory means, in which is recorded at least one passenger-specific favorite floor list. A passenger is identified in connection with giving a call on the basis of the ID number of an identifier. The favorite floor list is updated on the basis of calls given by the passenger and/or a given updating criterion.
ELEVATOR OPERATION PANEL
Provided is an elevator operation panel including: a casing having an opening portion; an acoustic device configured to output a sound, for example, a buzzer sound, from an inside of the casing; a face plate having formed therein a plurality of sound emission holes for allowing the sound output from the acoustic device to pass therethrough, and having a back surface that faces the casing to close the opening portion; and an operation button formed on the face plate and to be operated to cause an elevator to perform a specific operation. The plurality of sound emission holes are arranged so that a type of the operation button is identifiable when the face plate is touched from a front surface side.
ELEVATOR VIRTUAL HALL CALL PANEL SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF OPERATION
Virtual hall call panel systems for elevator landings and methods of use are provided. The systems include a display and detection assembly positioned proximate an elevator landing door, the display and detection assembly including a projection device and a detection device, a display surface proximate the display and detection assembly configured to display a display image projected by the projection device of the display and detection assembly, and a controller configured to receive input from the display and detection assembly, the controller configured to determine an input based on a detected object detected by the detection device and send a signal based on the input to control an elevator system.
SUPPORT ASSEMBLY FOR ELEVATOR CAR OPERATING PANEL
Support assemblies for car operating panels including a first support member having a respective panel retention cavity and a respective bracket retention cavity, a second support member having a respective panel retention cavity and a respective bracket retention cavity, and a bracket extending between the first support member and the second support member and fixedly attached to the first and second support members at the respective bracket retention cavities. The respective panel retention cavities are each configured to receive a portion of a front panel of a car operation panel, and, when the front panel is installed into the assembly, the first support member, the second support member, and the bracket provide structural support to the front panel. The first and second support members can be formed of light diffusing material.
ELEVATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CANCELLING PASSENGER REQUESTED FLOOR DESTINATION
An elevator system includes an elevator car, a call panel, a controller, and a floor cancellation feature. The elevator car is adapted to travel in a hoistway defined by a building and between floors of the building. The call panel is located for passenger interaction, includes a plurality of floor selections, and communicates with the controller. The floor cancellation feature is associated with at least one of the call panel and the controller. The controller is configured to operate between a floor cancellation permit state and a floor cancellation restricted state, thereby respectively enabling and disabling the floor cancellation feature, and track at least one event associated with the floor cancellation restricted state.
Elevator system
A landing door of an elevator system includes a door leaf equipped with an integrated floor indicator that signals to a person the floor on which an elevator car approaching the exit floor is currently located. The door leaf of the landing door has a wall element made of sheet metal with a microperforated indicator sector and actuatable light sources arranged in the indicator sector behind the wall element to form the floor indicator.
Hall destination floor input device for elevators, elevator control system, and elevator system
A hall destination floor input device for elevators includes an information input receiver provided on a hall of an elevator on a floor set as an evacuation floor in case of an emergency in a building including the elevator. The information input receiver receives information from outside. The device also includes a signal transmitter that transmits a signal to a control system of the elevator, and a controller configured to cause the signal transmitter to transmit a signal indicating a destination floor of the elevator when the information receiver receives input of information on the destination floor if an operation mode is not an emergency mode based on emergency information of the building, and cause the signal transmitter to transmit a signal to open a door of the elevator on the hall when the information input receiver starts receiving input of information if the operation mode is the emergency mode.
Method for giving destination calls in an elevator system and an elevator system
A method for giving destination calls to an elevator system using a destination operating panel that includes a keypad for giving the destination calls, including identifying a call giving phase and activating buttons of the keypad on the basis of the call giving phase.
