Service request using wireless programmable device

A method includes receiving, by a computing device comprising a processor, a request for at least one service associated with an elevator system from a mobile device over a cellular network. The request is validated based on a determined location of the mobile device. In response to the validating indicating that the request is approved, at least one resource associated with the at least one service is scheduled. The scheduling of the at least one resource includes placement of an elevator car call.

Biometric pre-identification

A station device in a biometric pre-identification system uses identity to perform one or more actions. Identities are determined (such as via a backend) using biometric information. A biometric pre-identification device obtains biometric information and/or a digital representation thereof from a person approaching the station device. The biometric pre-identification device transmits such to the station device, facilitating the station to begin and/or perform various actions. The station device begins or performs the actions using the identity determined based on the biometric information before the person arrives at the station device.

BIOMETRIC PAYMENT

A biometric payment system device obtains a digital representation of a biometric, generates an abstract biometric identifier data structure using the digital representation of the biometric, receives a response from a biometric payment system based on a transmission of the abstract biometric identifier data structure, and completes a transaction based on the response. In some embodiments, a biometric payment system receives an abstract biometric identifier data structure from a biometric payment system device, generates a biometric template, determines an identity by providing the biometric template to a matching engine; and provides information associated with the identity to the biometric payment system device. In other embodiments, the biometric payment system determines a modality of the digital representation of the biometric, formats a biometric template for a matching engine, determines an identity using the matching engine, and provides information associated with the identity to the biometric payment system device.

Predictive analytics to determine elevator path and staging

In an approach for determining an optimal path for an elevator, a processor receives information, wherein the information includes social media data associated with a user and calendar entries associated with the user, indicating one or more locations within a building. A processor analyzes the received information. A processor determines a location to send an elevator within the building to minimize movement of the elevator, based on the analyzed information. A processor causes the elevator to move to the location.

Group call management

In elevator journey prioritization often calls for larger groups are prioritized. This is often misused by placing elevator calls for larger groups that are actually travelling. This problem can be reduced by identifying the calling person when placing the call and again in the elevator. The number of people in the elevator can be estimated by using machine vision or weight-based approximation methods. When the number of passengers is not known the possible misuse can be suspected if a person places considerably more group calls as than average.

Anonymous and ephemeral tokens to authenticate elevator calls

According to one or more embodiments, a system and method for authorizing a user securing an elevator call in a building is provided. For example, the method includes receiving, at a mobile device, a secure authorization token that includes an expiration time, connecting the mobile device to a backend system using the secure authorization token from the mobile device, verifying, using the backend system, an authenticity of the secure authorization token from the mobile device based on at least the expiration time, generating, at the backend system, a secure access token and a random number in response to the authenticity of the secure authorization token being verified, and receiving, at the mobile device, the secure access token and the random number for use making elevator call requests.

METHOD OF DISPATCHING OPTIMIZATION BASED ON SENSING

A method of operating an elevator system is provided. The method comprising: receiving a first elevator call from a mobile device on a first floor, the first elevator call including a destination request to travel to a second floor; moving a first elevator car to the first floor in response to the first elevator call; moving the first elevator car away from the first floor; detecting acceleration data of the mobile device; detecting elevator acceleration data of the first elevator car; comparing the acceleration data of the mobile device and the elevator acceleration data of the first elevator car; and determining whether the mobile device is within the first elevator car based upon the comparison of the acceleration data of the mobile device and the elevator acceleration data of the first elevator car.

Elevator system recognizing signal pattern based on user motion

An elevator system includes a destination control system and an input system. An elevator car is called by an identification-device of a passenger being read by the input system. The destination control system is designed to recognize a signal-pattern that is produced by the passenger moving the respective identification device relative to parts of the input system. The destination control system is programmed to process different programs depending on the signal-pattern. Furthermore, a method for biasing elevator movements of such elevator systems is disclosed.

Elevator activity level management of mobile device access

A method of managing mobile elevator call requests from a mobile device is provided. The method includes: receiving an elevator call parameter from a management interface; receiving at least one mobile elevator call request from a mobile device; comparing the mobile elevator call request to the elevator call parameter; and restricting the mobile device from sending additional mobile elevator call requests when the mobile elevator call request conflicts with the elevator call parameter.

ELEVATOR SERVICE REQUEST USING USER DEVICE WITH FILTERED DESTINATION FLOOR SELECTION

Methods and systems for making elevator service requests in a building having an elevator system, the method including, determining a departure floor, populating, by a computing device comprising a processor, a destination floor list with at least one destination floor and displaying the destination floor list on a user device, the destination floor list limited to a subset of all possible destination floors, and receiving at least one user input indicating a selection of a destination floor by a user and indicating a new elevator service request based on the determination of a departure floor and the selection of a destination floor. The method also includes generating an elevator service request packet based on the new elevator service request and transmitting the elevator service request packet to an elevator controller to make an elevator service request.
