Couplers with partially open gates
Couplers including a hook and a gate member. The hook includes a base member and a crook. The crook extends from the base member and includes a base leg, a bend, and a hook leg. The base leg extends from the base member. The bend extends in a curved path from the base leg. The hook leg extends from the bend opposite the base leg and terminates in a hook tip. The gate member is coupled to the base member where the gate member extends into the crook and terminates proximate to the hook tip. The gate member is configured to resiliently deflect away from the hook tip when an eye is selectively pressed between and the hook tip and the gate member. The gate member is biased to resiliently return to a position proximate the hook tip once the eye moves past the hook tip.

LOAD-FORCE-INDEPENDENT TRIGGERING DEVICE
A load-force-independent triggering device for a load exerting a force on it that is held in a CLOSED position of the triggering device and released in an OPEN position of the triggering device includes: a housing; a triggering lever, which is connected to a triggering gear via a steering lever, the triggering lever being swivel-mounted on a first housing axis, the triggering gear being swivel-mounted on a second housing axis and the steering lever being swivel-mounted on a steering-lever axis on the triggering lever and on a second steering-lever axis on the triggering gear; a spring device acting on the triggering lever; and a locking device, by which the triggering device is fixed in the CLOSED position. The steering lever has an angular design, and, in the CLOSED position of the triggering device, contacts a first contact surface in the housing.

LOCKING CAM FOR A LOAD HOOK, AND ATTACHMENT DEVICE COMPRISING SUCH A CAM
A cam (43) for locking and unlocking a hook (10) of a bearing device (100) intended to lift and transport loads, has a central hub (430), at least one arm (431a) arranged radially relative to the central hub and a shaft (435) rotating the central hub, characterised in that a first end of the shaft (425) is connected to a first rotational device (51) and a second end of the shaft is connected to a second rotational device (52). The invention also relates to a bearing device comprising such a cam.

Crane
A crane 1, the hook (main hook 24) of which is stored on the lower end of a boom 7, and the winch (main winch 9) of which can be moved by a hydraulic motor 37, said crane being provided with a pressure sensor 55 capable of detecting the pressure of hydraulic fluid being delivered to the hydraulic motor 37, and a controller 61 capable of recognizing changes in the pressure of the hydraulic fluid on the basis of a signal from the pressure sensor 55, and also being provided with an anomaly warning means Mi capable of providing warning of anomalies pertaining to the storage of at least the hook (24), the controller 61 activating the anomaly warning means Mi when it is determined that the pressure of the hydraulic fluid when the hook has been stored is below a minimum value.

SHACKLE CLAMP ASSEMBLY
A shackle clamp assembly has one end configured as a cap for insertion on the end of a shackle bolt attached to a U-shaped shackle and second end configured as a loop for attachment around the U-shaped shackle. The cap has an aperture that aligns with a through-bore in the end of the shackle bolt. A pin is inserted through the aperture of the cap and the through-bore of the shackle bolt to retain the cap on the end of the shackle bolt. The cap abuts the nut threaded on the end of the shackle bolt to ensure that the nut does not become disconnected from the shackle bolt.
Pipelayer machine having hoisting system with pivotable fairlead
A machine includes a frame, ground-engaging elements coupled to the frame, and a hoisting system having a sideboom and a fairlead. The hoisting system also includes a hook pulley block and a hoisting cable extending through the fairlead and the hook pulley block and held in tension such that the hoisting cable couples pivoting of the fairlead to pivoting of the sideboom. The pivotable fairlead may be instrumented with position, cable loading, and cable feed sensors.
