SPEED CONTROL SYSTEM FOR CRANE AND WINCH APPLICATIONS
20170174481 · 2017-06-22 ·

The present disclosure relates to a hydraulic system including a variable displacement hydraulic motor for lifting and lowering a load. The hydraulic motor has a high operating speed and a low operating speed. The system also includes an actuator for controlling whether the hydraulic motor is operating at the high or low speed, and a pressure sensor for sensing when a system pressure corresponding to the hydraulic motor exceeds a threshold pressure value. The system further includes a speed control system that controls the actuator such that the hydraulic motor is prevented from operating at the first operating speed when the system pressure exceeds the threshold pressure value.

Hydraulic winch control system and method

A hydraulic winch assembly uses a control algorithm that separates brake control from drum rotation to permit fine control of load position. Actuation of an operator interface to a first position displacement threshold will release a drum brake but will not activate a hydraulic pump for operating a hydraulic motor coupled to the drum until the operator interface is moved to a second position displacement threshold. During the operating condition when the brake is released but the pump is not operating, the force of a load applied to a cable coupled to the drum may cause the cable to slowly unwind from and rotate the drum, thereby permitting fine control of drum rotation. Additionally, when the pump is activated upon further movement of the operator interface, a speed of the motor may be modulated, such as by a gear ratio command, to permit precise control over lower drum speeds.

Hydraulic drive apparatus for work machine

Provided is a hydraulic drive apparatus for working machine capable of preventing an excessive pressure reduction on a meter-in side and moving a load in a lowering direction at a stable speed requiring no counter balance valve. The apparatus includes a hydraulic pump, a hydraulic actuator for lowering the load, an operating device, a hydraulic circuit including a meter-in flow passage, a meter-out flow passage and a regeneration flow passage, a control valve, a meter-in-flow-rate controller for controlling a meter-in flow rate, a meter-out-flow-rate controller for controlling a meter-out flow rate to one not lower than the meter-in flow rate, a back pressure generator located downstream of the regeneration flow passage in the meter-out flow passage, and a meter-out-flow-rate limiter. The meter-out-flow-rate limiter minimizes a flow passage area of the meter-out orifice when a pressure in the meter-in flow passage falls to or below a permissible pressure.

Winch drive device in crane

When an engine is started in a state where a support member of a multi-coupler is attached to a mating support member, the pressure of hydraulic oil increases in a detection target pipeline part. A pressure detection unit detects the pressure of the hydraulic oil in the detection target pipeline part. A connection state determining unit determines whether a tank-side pipeline part and a motor-side pipeline part are connected to each other, based on the pressure. When the connection state determining unit determines that the tank-side pipeline part and the motor-side pipeline part are not connected to each other in a state where the engine is started, a pressure increase suppression unit carries out an operation for suppressing an increase in the pressure of a hydraulic motor.
