System and method for thermal protection of an electric winch
Monitoring the temperature of the brush of the motor on an electric winch during operation and restricting the operation of the motor within a cooling range in order to minimize downtime and maximize runtime.
HIGH-SAFETY ELECTRIC CAPSTAN
The present disclosure provides a high-safety electric capstan including a hoisting mechanism, an electric motor configured to drive the hoisting mechanism to rotate, a user controller and an engagement assembly, and further including a control section electrically connected to a signal receiving actuator. The electric motor and the signal receiving actuator are electrically connected to the engagement assembly, respectively. The control section is configured for a user to send a trigger signal to the signal receiving actuator, the signal receiving actuator is configured to control an operation of the electric motor responsive to instructions from the user controller for a period of time when receiving the trigger signal, after the period of time, the signal receiving actuator is not responsive to instructions from the user controller. The solution of the present disclosure is advantageous for improving safety in use of an electric capstan.
Waste Processing Machine Feed Assist System
A waste processing machine for reducing material and having a feed assist system. A cutting assembly on a frame reduces material. A feed system on the frame directs material toward the cutting assembly. A winch assembly includes a line with a line end for securing material, and a driver on the frame to urge the line end toward the driver. A keeper fixed to the frame secures the line end. A sensor detects utilization between: a docked configuration with the line tensioned against between the driver and the keeper; and an undocked configuration with the line loosened. A control unit allows operation of the feed system in the docked configuration, and interrupts the feed system in the undocked configuration. A feed mechanism actuation bypasses the interrupted operation to advance material for a bypass period, and a limit mechanism overrides operation of the feed mechanism for a subsequent limit period.
Automatic drilling hoist speed
A method automatically for adjusting the hoist speed of a drill is disclosed. The method includes determining the mast angle of the drilling implement relative to a work surface, and changing the hoisting speed of the drill implement depending on the mast angle.
Tethered Unmanned Aerial System
A tethered unmanned aerial system (UAS) is described, wherein the flight of one or more UASs may be used in connection with a water and light display.
Hoisting management system for closed environmental facilities
A management system for a closed environmental facility includes one or more motorized tubular hoist mechanisms operable to adjust the height of environmental modules above one or more groups of plants. A central controller provides signals over a wireless communication network to command the hoist mechanisms to move the environmental modules to a desired position. In further embodiments, environmental sensors provide data to the central controller and the controller automatically calculates desired positions of the environmental modules based on the data and commands the hoist mechanisms to achieve the desired positioning.
ELEVATOR WITH A BRAKE DEVICE
An elevator with a brake device may be configured to provide a variable brake force, from a minimum brake force up to a maximum brake force (Vmax). The brake device may include a first energy store that provides the maximum brake force and a second energy store that provides an adjustable counterforce. The adjustable counterforce may be directed in an opposed manner with respect to the maximum brake force provided from the first energy store. Further, the variable brake force may amount to a difference between the maximum brake force and the adjustable counterforce. In some cases, the first energy store may comprise a compression spring for providing the maximum brake force.
Methods and apparatus for measuring and monitoring an anchoring operation
Novel techniques and equipment for anchoring a boat include sensing and measuring the real time rate and length of rode release based on detecting real time changes in the angular position of a windlass by computer vision using a portable computing device. Rode release is also detected using novel methods based on sensing sound, rode chain movement, and sensing acceleration and/or motion. The apparatus can include software operable to provide safe anchoring based on monitoring real times values of the rate and length of rode release, comparing these values to the speed and position of the boat, and providing local and remote status and alarm information to crew members.
Winch control system
A winch control system includes: a distance measurement unit that measures a winch-to-winch distance between first and second winches based on the wound length of a second wire or the unwound length of a first wire when an object suspended through the first wire from the first winch and suspended through the second wire from the second winch is moved from the first winch to the second winch; and a relative position determination unit that determines the relative position of the second winch with respect to the first winch based on the winch-to-winch distance. The length of the first wire unwound from the first winch and the length of the second wire unwound from the second winch are calculated based on the relative position of the second winch with respect to the first winch and the target position of the object.
CABLE WINCH AND HOISTING DEVICE HAVING SUCH A CABLE WINCH
The present invention relates to a cable winch, in particular a hoisting gear winch of a hoist, comprising a cable drum, an entry guide for a cable to be wound onto the cable drum, and an actuating drive for adjusting the entry guide relative to the cable drum. The invention also relates to a hoisting device, in particular in the form of a crane, having such a cable winch. According to the invention, a detection unit for detecting an image of the progression of the winding of the cable wound onto the cable drum is provided and the control unit is designed to adjust the entry guide relative to the cable drum depending on the winding progression image captured.
