A device is illustrated and described for altering the jet shape of pourable products, in particular of foodstuffs, including an entry region for the entry of the pourable products, an exit region for the exit of the pourable products, and several ducts for conveying the pourable products, wherein each duct has at least one inlet associated with the entry region and at least one outlet associated with the exit region. The use of this device for the filling of foodstuffs and a method for the production of this device are also illustrated and described. In order to achieve that the shape and the velocity profile of the filling jet can be adjusted simply and gently, it is proposed that at least one of the ducts is curved, at least in sections.

Low foam nozzle

Techniques regarding multi-hole nozzle architectures and/or manufacturing methods are provided. For example, one or more embodiments described herein can comprise a multi-hole nozzle component for a filling machine, the multi-hole nozzle component having a periphery, an inlet side having a surface, and an outlet side having a surface. The nozzle component can further comprise a plurality of separate passageways extending through the nozzle component from adjacent its inlet side to its outlet side. Also, the passageways can form a plurality of openings in the surface of the outlet side of the nozzle component. Further, each of the separate passageways can have a diameter of from about 1 mm to about 3 mm and a length of from about 5 mm to about 1.5 m.

Apparatus and Method for Filling a Container

A filling apparatus includes a container, a conveyor system for transporting the container and a fill nozzle for filling the container. The fill nozzle includes a product inlet for receiving an edible liquid and a chamber fluidly connected to the product inlet. The fill nozzle also includes an elastomeric seal located within the chamber and a piston located at least partially within the chamber. The piston has a capillary tube selectively fluidly connected to the chamber. The capillary tube includes a capillary tube inlet and a capillary tube outlet. In a static state, the elastomeric seal seals the capillary tube inlet to prevent the edible liquid from flowing into the capillary tube inlet. In a filling state, the elastomeric seal does not seal the capillary tube inlet, allowing the edible liquid to flow into the capillary tube inlet, out of the capillary tube outlet and into the container.

Device for filling a container

A device for filling a container with a fill product, for example a fill product that is viscous and contains particles, is described. The device includes a fill product reservoir for accommodating the fill product that is to be filled, a dosing cylinder within which a dosing piston is displaceably accommodated for dosing the fill product, and a discharge channel with an outlet end for discharging the fill product into the container that is to be filled. The discharge plunger is disposed in the discharge channel for expelling a product residue at the end of the filling process, and the fill product reservoir, the dosing cylinder, and the discharge channel are in communication with each other via a common product channel. A valve for opening and closing the connection between the fill product reservoir and the product channel is disposed in the base of the fill product reservoir.

The invention relates to a nozzle for a microdoser, the nozzle (1) comprising one orifice (4) or a plurality of orifices (4), the nozzle having a total orifice opening area of at least 10 mm.sup.2. Each orifice (4) is configured so that no circle larger than 1.6 mm in diameter can be inscribed within the opening of said orifice. The nozzle has an opening configuration that allows injection of a large quantity of additive at a low outlet speed, which limits splashing, and that allows the additive to be held by capillarity in the nozzle when the injection stops. The invention also relates to a system for introducing an additive into a container comprising a static microdoser having such nozzle (1) from which at least one jet of an additive issues upon passage of an opening of the container in proximity to the nozzle to introduce the additive into said container.
