METHOD FOR OPTIMIZING THE FILLING OF A CONTAINER
20190127198 · 2019-05-02 ·

A container-filling method includes executing a learning phase by starting a filling operation with a filling parameter that was used to start filling of a another product. The learning phase includes the filling element and saving relationships between a filling parameter, such as expected filling time or foam formation, and a value indicative of that filling parameter. The method includes comparing a saved target with this value to see a termination criterion has been achieved. If not, the filling parameter is varied in response to instructions provided by a simulator and the process repeated.

The present invention relates to a machine 1 for filling containers with liquids, comprising: a support structure; a rotating carousel provided with a tank; a plurality of valve groups mounted on said carousel for filling containers; and a logic control unit suitable to automatically manage the operation of the filling machine. Each valve group comprises an air return tube which is provided with an open lower end, susceptible to be inserted in a container, and an opposite upper end and can be moved axially between at least one lowered position and a raised position. Each valve group comprises: means for guiding the axial movement of the return air tube between a lower end stop and an upper end stop, wherein said at least one lowered position is between said two end stops; elastic mechanical means suitable to exercise constantly an axial thrust action on the return air tube towards the raised position; means for reversibly blocking the return air tube in any axial position between said lower end stop and said upper end stop; and a cam follower rigidly connected to the tube. The filling machine comprises a cam which is placed peripherally to the rotating carousel at a first angular position 1 with respect to an entry station to be cyclically engaged by the cam follower. The cam is profiled so as to impose on each tube a predetermined axial displacement H towards the lower end stop and has a circumferentially limited operating angle of working . The filling machine 1 comprises means for moving the cam in height. The logic control unit is operatively connected to the means for moving the cam in height and to the reversible blocking means of each return air tube and is programmed: to command the blocking of the blocking means when the individual tube is located within the operating angle of working of the cam to keep the return air tube in the lowered position, and to command the unblocking of the reversible blocking means of each individual air return tube at a second angular position chosen as a function of the filling operating cycle to be performed on the containers.

A valve for use in filling containers includes a valve flange, nozzle assembly and valve sleeve. The valve flange defines a first through passage. The nozzle assembly includes a liquid fill outlet and air vent outlet below the valve flange. The valve sleeve defines a second through passage and is movable between a lowered valve closed position and a raised valve open position. The valve sleeve including a first portion positioned for sliding movement within the first through passage and a second portion positioned below the valve flange and configured for sealingly closing both the liquid fill outlet and the air vent outlet when the valve sleeve is in the lowered valve closed position. The valve sleeve has a weight sufficient to cause the valve sleeve to move downward from the raised valve open position to the lowered valve closed position.

Device and method for filling a container without using measuring means

The present invention relates to a method for filling a fluid into a container without using measuring means and to a filling apparatus therefor which comprises an attachment having a predetermined volume V.sub.A, said attachment comprising a valve attachment which has a gas valve and a liquid valve with a valve seat in a housing. Said valve seat surrounds a displacement element that can be moved along the longitudinal axis relative to the housing, and forms an annular gap. According to said method, the attachment is tightly placed onto a container (1) while the displacement element is inserted into the container (1). When the liquid valve (5) is opened, the filling fluid flows into the nominal volume V.sub.N of the container (1), and said nominal volume is flooded with the filling fluid; the liquid valve is then closed. The displacement element is withdrawn from the container (1) and the flooded remaining volumes top up the contents in the container (1), the volumina V.sub.VA and V.sub.FV equaling the volume V.sub.Rohr of a portion of the displacement element in the flooded portion so that identical containers (1) are filled with identical fill levels.

VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR A FILLING MACHINE WITH A FILLING LEVEL REGULATION PROBE AND A FILLING MACHINE PROVIDED WITH SUCH VALVE

A valve assembly for a filling machine has an adduction conduit along a valve axis connectable to a tank to allow inflow of liquid from the tank to containers. A shutter inside the adduction conduit moves between a closing position and one or more opening positions. A tubular control stem internally defines a conduit. A probe for detecting filling level with a single detection point near the probe tip is inserted inside the conduit defined by the tubular control stem and moves between at least one extracted position and a retracted position. A first electric motor connected to the tubular control stem moves the shutter between the closing position and the one or more opening positions. A second electric motor connected to the probe moves the probe between the at least one extracted position and the retracted position. The first and second electric motors are controllable independently from each other.
