PLASTIC BEER KEG
20170129682 · 2017-05-11 ·

A plastic beer keg includes an outer container and a liner having a neck portion and a body portion. A removable lid is secured over an opening of the container to enclose the liner. A locking ring secures the neck portion to the lid. The neck optionally includes a neck ring which interlocks with the opening through the lid to prevent relative rotation therebetween. The locking ring optionally includes ratcheting teeth engaging ratchet teeth on the lid to prevent inadvertent loosening of the locking ring. The liner may be suspended from the lid by the neck when empty.

Keg closure with safety mechanism

A closure for a keg comprises a housing and at least one valve element that is movable with respect to the housing, inwardly into an open state and outwardly into a closed state. The closure also comprises a lock mechanism having a locking element that is movable with respect to the housing and is capable of holding the valve element in the open state. The lock mechanism includes first and second couplings at which the locking element and the valve element are mutually engageable. The lock mechanism is arranged such that when the locking element and the valve element are engaged at the first coupling, the locking element moves with the valve element as the valve element moves from the open state into the closed state. This movement of the locking element enables engagement between the locking element and the valve element at the second coupling, which engagement at the second coupling occurring on subsequent movement of the valve element into the open state to prevent the valve element returning to the closed state.

Keg closure with venting mechanism

A closure (10) for use with a beverage keg (20) is disclosed. The closure (10) comprises an inlet, a barrier (1) and a housing (2) that defines a venting hole (11). The barrier (1) seals the venting hole (11). The closure (10) comprises an unvented configuration in which a keg to which the closure is fitted can be pressurized. The closure (10) also comprises a vented configuration in which the barrier (1) is unsealed from the venting hole (11) to permit depressurization of the keg (20).

FITMENT FOR DISPENSING FLUIDS FROM A FLEXIBLE CONTAINER
20170113912 · 2017-04-27 ·

This invention relates to a fitment assembly used for dispensing liquids from flexible bags. The connector engages a valved fitment for a container for holding and dispensing fluid. The fitment includes a spout connected to the container and a sliding internal valve body and an external valve body securely positioned within the spout. The connector has a fitment end mateable with the fitment so as to compress the top edge of the external valve body so as to form a seal between the external valve body and the dispensing connector. The external valve body through circumferentially placed apertures allows for substantially complete drainage of the flexible bag.

Container and valve for a container

Valve, comprising a base element and a snap ring or snap fingers extending there from, positioned around an opening through the base element, wherein within the snap ring or between the snap fingers a valve housing is provided, having at least one inlet opening and a spring loaded valve body, biased towards the base element and closing off the opening, wherein the valve body is operable through the opening for opening a fluid connection between the inlet opening or openings and the opening in the base element.

A collapsible bag for use in dispensing gaseous fluids, the collapsible bag including three collapsible enclosures. Two of the collapsible enclosures have respective fluid paths extending from internal to external of the outer enclosure. The configuration of the food quality of an inner enclosures and the integrity of the third outer enclosure and as well as the relative volume of one inner enclosure to the outer enclosures effects the dispensing mechanism of the pressure which allows transfer of the pressure without fluid interaction to another of the at inner collapsible enclosures and selective dispensing.

A container for a fluid under pressure, preferably a beer keg, including a neck and a fitting mounted thereon with a suction tube for drawing the fluid into the container. A pressure relief valve is mounted in an upper end of the suction tube or in the neck of the container. The pressure relief valve includes a closing body which is mounted resiliently via a spring and movable from a closing position to an open position by the spring being compressed.

Beverage dispensing assembly

A beverage dispensing assembly comprises a beverage container for containing a beverage, the container body comprising a beverage outlet provided with a beverage container sealing member arranged to enable opening of the beverage outlet. A beverage dispensing line extends between the beverage container and a dispenser for dispensing the beverage at a dispensing outlet of the dispenser. A coupler device is detachable coupled to the container body and coupled to a second beverage conduit of the beverage dispensing line, with a first beverage conduit of the beverage dispensing line extending between the beverage container and the coupler device. The first beverage conduit at a first end thereof comprises an adapter body fittingly arranged on the beverage container covering the beverage container sealing member. A piston is movably arranged in the coupler device for acting on the adapter body that is configured to open the beverage container sealing member upon actuation by the piston causing the beverage container sealing member to open the beverage outlet to provide a fluid connection between the beverage chamber and the first beverage conduit.

Valve for a beverage container

A valve for a beverage container comprises a mounting element for mounting the valve in a container opening. A valve body is axially moveable inside the valve housing from a first position closing off the beverage outlet opening to a second position opening a fluid connection through the beverage outlet opening.
