An erroneous refueling prevention device restricts or allows insertion of a refueling gun into a refueling passage depending on an outer diameter of the refueling gun. The device includes a flap configured to open or close the refueling passage by a turn of the flap about a first turn pivot; and a switch configured to be unlocked from the flap by a turn of the flap to a half-opened state, and to turn about a second turn pivot. The switch includes a protrusion detector configured to, in response to the turn, project to a position where the protrusion detector faces the refueling passage. The switch restricts or allows a turn of the flap from the half-opened state to a fully-opened state, depending on a turn amount of the switch to be determined by a contact relationship between the protrusion detector and the refueling gun.

An erroneous oil feed prevention device includes paired flaps having a surface slanted relative to a direction of insertion of an oil feeding nozzle. A turn shaft part, a support hole, and paired extension portions are provided. A first biasing member is configured to bias flaps of the paired extension portions to turn in a closing direction. A first restriction portion and a second restriction portion are configured to restrict the flaps from turning in an opening direction. While slanted surfaces are pressed by the oil feeding nozzle, each of the flaps slides outward in radial directions of the oil feed passage to release turning restriction states of the first restriction portion and the second restriction portion, and after the release, the flaps turn in an integrated manner with the extension portions being in contact with the respective other flaps.

The present disclosure provides a metered dosing assembly configured to dispense a volume of fluid into a container that is selectively sealed by a closure valve having a closure valve member that is movable between sealed and unsealed positions with respect to the container. The metered dosing assembly includes a housing having an interior cavity. A valve is locatable at an end of the housing. The valve includes a valve member, a pin extending from the valve member, and at least one spring leg attachable to the valve member. The pin extends from the valve member and is configured to engage the closure valve member of the closure valve to move the closure valve member to the unsealed position and move the valve member to an open position with respect to the housing. When the valve member is moved to the open position and the closure valve member is moved to the unsealed position, fluid communication is made between the metered dosing assembly and the container.

A diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) storage system may include a reservoir body having a magnet integrally formed about an inlet opening of the reservoir body. For example, the magnet may be molding about a perimeter of the inlet opening during a molding process in which the reservoir body is formed. In some examples, the inlet opening defines a lumen extending into an interior of the reservoir body with the magnet being positioned at a location along the lumen opposite an external end face. The position of the magnet may be effective to engage a corresponding magnet on a DEF fill nozzle, allowing DEF to be introduced into the reservoir body. By integrating the magnet into the reservoir body, protection features that prevent erroneous filling of the reservoir body cannot be removed or bypassed.

The restraining arrangement may include a first restraining member and a second restraining member extending towards a central axis of the connector body. The first restraining member may have a distal end that extends further than a distal end of the second restraining member. The distal end of the first restraining member may engage the neck portion of the liquid container at a first position, and the distal end of the second restraining member may engage the neck portion of the liquid container at a second position. The connector may further include a connector-to-key-interface arrangement configured to mate with a corresponding surface of a key member.

A method and device to insure that a particular dispensing package (18) can only be engaged into an appropriate dispensing location (14). Specifically, the package and the dispenser have mating concentric rings (24, 30) (or portions thereof) to prevent engagement and dispensing of an inappropriate product. In one embodiment, the package (18) is provided with one or more concentric ring projections (24) (or portions thereof) and the dispenser (10) is provided with one or more matching concentric ring recesses (30). The projections and the recesses have similar diameters to define a mating set. In some embodiments, the concentric ring projections are placed on a closure (20), such as a cap, of the package. In alternative embodiments, the projections are placed on the dispenser and the recesses are placed on the package.

The kit includes a drop-elbow coupler, a storage-tank inlet tube, a primary key slot, a primary key protrusion, a retractable pull pin, a hose, a gravity-drop tube fitting, a secondary key slot, and a secondary key protrusion. The primary key slot traverses into an internal surface of the drop-elbow coupler. The primary key protrusion is externally and laterally connected to the storage-tank inlet tube. The storage-tank inlet tube is positioned within the drop-elbow coupler with the primary key protrusion being positioned within the primary key slot. The secondary key slot traverses into a first female coupler tube of the hose. The secondary key protrusion is externally connected to the gravity-drop tube fitting. This allows the first female coupler tube to fit over the gravity-drop tube fitting.

The nozzle further includes an interlock operatively coupling the actuator to the shut-off device. The interlock includes a slider that is operatively coupled to the actuator and a pivotable arm that is operatively coupled to the shut-off device, and the slider is slidable along the arm.
