DEPTH FILTER MEDIA

Depth filtration media for the harvest clarification of a feed stream from cell cultures containing a therapeutic biomol-ecule. The depth filtration media is comprised of a sintered mixture of a polymeric adsorbent and a thermoplastic binder and possess ultra-low extractables and do not require pre-flushing prior to use. Further, the materials of construction used for the sintered depth filter media demonstrate a high stability to gamma radiation and are compatible with gamma-based pre-use sterilization processes.

SINTERED POROUS POLYPROPYLENE MEDIA AND APPLICATIONS

Compositions including a sintered porous ultra-high-molecular-weight polypropylene material having a viscosity average molecular weight over 500,000, an average porc size ranging from 10 m to 200 m, and a porosity ranging from 20% to 60%. Devices and methods including such compositions.

Filter System and Filter Element Having a Glass Fiber Filter Medium and a Sintered Body
20170080370 · 2017-03-23 ·

A filter system for filtering a fluid is provided with a filter housing and a filter element arranged in the filter housing. The filter element has a glass fiber filter medium. A sintered body is arranged fluidically downstream of the glass fiber filter medium for retaining constituents of the glass fiber filter medium entrained in a fluid to be filtered. A pore size of the sintered body is greater than a cross-section of the constituents of the glass fiber filter medium.

Polymer composite materials are disclosed containing one or more chemical scavengers. The polymer composites are porous and are configured to be contacted with a liquid for removing trace amounts of metals, proteins, polypeptides, polyphenols, other organic compounds, and the like. In order to produce the porous composite polymer product, one or more chemical scavengers are combined with high density polyethylene particles and sintered into a shape. The polyethylene resin acts as a binder trapping or encasing the one or more chemical scavengers in the porous structure.

FILTER MEDIA, TRIBOELECTRICALLY CHARGED FIBERS THEREOF, AND METHODS FOR THE SAME
20250339799 · 2025-11-06 ·

Filter media, filters and methods for preparing filter media are provided herein. The filter media may include a nonwoven sheet having continuous fibers prepared from first and second dissimilar polymers that are triboelectrically charged. The nonwoven sheet may be prepared by needling and/or hydroentangling the continuous fibers. Needling and/or hydroentangling the continuous fibers triboelectrically charges at least a portion of the continuous fibers of the nonwoven sheet. In addition, needling and/or hydroentangling the fibers increases the loftiness of the nonwoven sheet, thereby reducing its resistance to airflow and increasing its dust holding capacity.

THERMALLY TRIGGERED CONFORMABLE POLYMERIC SCREEN

A porous structural thermoset media is described herein. A method includes generating a porous structural thermoset material comprising a glass transition temperature (T.sub.g) that is greater than is greater than or equal to about 100 C. and a first diameter. The method also includes compressing the porous structural thermoset material to generate a compressed porous structural thermoset material comprising a second diameter that is smaller than the first diameter.
