FILTER ELEMENT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to a filter element for filtering particulate materials in a fluid, comprising a first filtration zone comprising first-size particles and a second filtration zone comprising second-size particles, as well as a transition zone comprising a mixture of first-size particles and second-size particles and interconnecting the first filtration zone and the second filtration zone. Preferably, the filter element is a carbon block formed by sintering two types of activated carbon particles having different sizes and ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene around them. The filter element of the present invention has both higher filtration capacity and higher absorption capacity. In addition, the present invention further relates to a method for manufacturing the filter element of the present invention.

A method of removing carbon dioxide from a gas can include providing a gaseous feed stream including a carbon dioxide gas and adsorbing the carbon dioxide gas with a porous carbon sorbent. The method can further include de-adsorbing the carbon dioxide and combining the carbon dioxide with a substantially pure hydrogen gas to produce at least one of methane and methanol. The adsorbing and de-adsorbing of the carbon dioxide gas can be conducted by an electric swing adsorption.
Cellulose based biodegradable absorptive filter and method of making
A biodegradable filter for the removal of various pollutants, contaminants, or harmful substances from the surrounding air, and a method of fabrication. The filter includes 30% by weight of cellulose nanofibers, 30% by weight of activated carbon, and 20% by weight of polyethylene glycol. The cellulose nanofibers and activated carbon are isolated from date palm biomass, making the filter cost-effective and environmentally friendly.

A cooking appliance includes a cooking chamber and a convection fan to circulate an airflow therethrough via a hinged baffle. An air filter is in fluid communication with the fan to filter the airflow. The hinged baffle supports the filter elements and is selectively moveable between a closed position covering the air filter and an opened position exposing the air filter.

A range hood is disclosed and includes a guiding cover, a guiding duct, an air guiding fan, an electrostatic oil fume separator and a networked controller. The guiding cover is arranged in a kitchen space, two deflectors are extended from two sides of the guiding cover for blocking air pollution from spreading and concentrating to an air guiding path. The guiding duct communicates to the air guiding path. The air guiding fan communicates to the guiding duct. The electrostatic oil fume separator is arranged above the guiding cover to separate oil droplets and smoke gas. The networked controller receives a control command of an indoor air pollution prevention system through a networked communication, so as to control an activation operation of the air guiding fan, thereby the air pollution of the kitchen space can be detected in real time and purified to a level close to zero.

A filter for a liquid purifier, comprising: a filter housing having an inlet to receive water and an outlet to discharge the water, and a filter module provided in the filter housing, and configured to purify water introduced through the inlet, and to provide the purified water to the outlet, wherein the filter module includes a carbon block having a hollow tube shape by mixing activated carbon, a binder, ferric hydroxide, and titanium oxide, and the binder is mixed at a ratio of 13% to 23% by weight.
REFRIGERATING APPLIANCE
A refrigerator has a storage compartment defined by a plurality of walls and a filter device. One of the walls has a through hole extending between an inner surface of the respective wall facing the storage compartment and an opposite outer surface of the respective wall. The filter device has a housing including a container, which defines an interior space and an access opening through which the interior space is accessible, and a lid, which is coupled to the container, and a filter material accommodated in the interior space. The housing is arranged such that the access opening is positioned corresponding to the through hole of the respective wall. The housing further contains a flange extending from the container, the flange is adhesively connected to the outer surface of the respective wall. The lid is movable to cover the access opening through the through hole of the respective wall.
