HIGH MOISTURE EDIBLE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF PREPARATION THEREOF
The present invention is direct to an edible composition in which fruit, vegetables and/or nuts, in conjunction with a hydrocolloid, are treated with pressure and/or heat to form an edible composition that is dimensionally stable, ambient stable for at least 12 months, has a moisture content greater than 50 wt. %, has a pH less than 4.5, has a water activity greater than 0.5, is commercially sterile, is free of artificial flavors, has a solids content greater than 10 wt. %, and does not exhibit syneresis. Also provided is a method for preparation of the edible composition.
USE OF LUTEOLIN-7-O-GLUCOSIDE OR LUTEOLIN-7-O-GLUCURONIDE IN PREPARATION OF MEDICINE FOR EYE INJURIES
Provided is the use of luteolin-7-O-glucoside or luteolin-7-O-glucuronide in the preparation of a medicine for eye injuries, wherein same falls within the technical field of medicines. Further provided is the use of luteolin-7-O-glucoside and/or luteolin-7-O-glucuronide in the preparation of a medicine for treating eye injuries caused by blue light. An in vitro drug effect screening model experiment of blue light-induced damage of retinal pigment epithelial cells proves that the luteolin-7-O-glucoside and luteolin-7-O-glucuronide have an efficacy in protecting retinal pigment epithelial cells from damage caused by blue light. Therefore, the luteolin-7-O-glucoside and lutecolin-7-O-glucuronide may also be used in eye-protection health products or foods.
Preparation Method For Carotenoid Preparation Having High Bioavailability And High Stability
The present invention provides a preparation method for a carotenoid preparation having high bioavailability and high stability, comprising the following steps: a) dissolving part of a water-soluble colloid and a filling substance in water to form an aqueous phase; b) adding a carotenoid crystal to the aqueous phase and stirring for dispersion so as to form a dispersion liquid; c) loading the dispersion liquid into a first-stage grinding machine for first grinding to form a first-stage grinding liquid; d) adding the remaining water-soluble colloid and filling substance to the first-stage grinding liquid, loading same into a second grinding machine for secondary grinding to obtain a second-stage grinding liquid; and e) drying the moisture in the second-stage grinding liquid to obtain carotenoid dry powder or particles.
METHOD FOR PREPARING AN EXTRACT CONTAINING GALLIC ACID, AQUEOUS CONCENTRATE CONTAINING GALLIC ACID, AND FOODSTUFF AND FOOD SUPPLEMENT CONTAINING THE AQUEOUS CONCENTRATE
A method for preparing an extract containing gallic acid includes performing an extraction treatment on plants or plant constituents containing tannins by means of water or an aqueous system in the presence of the enzyme tannase to obtain a product mixture containing gallic acid. Further disclosed is a method for preparing an extract containing gallic acid, comprising performing an extraction treatment on plants or plant constituents containing tannins by means of a mixture containing a polar organic solvent and water to obtain a product mixture containing polyphenols, separating the plants or plant constituents from the product mixture to obtain a liquid extract, removing the polar organic solvent from the liquid extract, and treating the aqueous extract with the enzyme tannase to obtain an aqueous system containing gallic acid. In addition, the disclosure includes an aqueous concentrate containing gallic acid and a foodstuff or food supplement comprising the aqueous concentrate.
FEED SUPPLEMENT
The present invention relates to a feed supplement or a food supplement which comprises a resin acid based composition comprising over 10% (w/w) resin acids for use in in the preven-tion of intestinal disorders. The in-vention further relates to a use of the feed supplement or the food supplement and a feed composition or a food composition comprising the feed supplement or the food supplement, respectively.
POWDERY FOOD CONTAINING EDIBLE PLANT, AND FOOD/DRINK CONTAINING SAME
The present disclosure relates to a powdery food containing an edible plant. The powdery food has an insoluble dietary fiber content of 1.0 mass % or more on a dry mass basis, a specific surface area per unit volume after ultrasonication of 0.02 m.sup.2/mL or more, and a 2-pentylfuran content of 1 ppb or more and 50,000 ppb or less.
ADDITIVES AND USE THEREOF IN CORN FERMENTATION PROCESS STREAMS AND OTHER BIOPROCESSES
The present disclosure provides compositions and methods for enhancing oil recovery and protein recovery from a product from a corn fermentation process stream, such as corn syrup. Compositions generally include a product from a corn fermentation stream and an additive including at least one alkylphenol ethoxylate formaldehyde resin, at least one sodium alkyl sulfate, or a blend of at least one anionic surfactant with at least one non-ionic surfactant in a weight ratio of the at least one nonionic surfactant to the at least one anionic surfactant in a range from about 1:20 to about 20:1. Methods combine such an additive with the product from a corn fermentation stream to produce a mixture which is preferably heated and centrifuged to separate oil and protein from the product.
COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to improved compositions comprising CGA(s).
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MONO CALCIUM CITRATE BY USING SHELL AND APPLICATION THEREOF
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing liquid calcium citrate (C.sub.12H.sub.14CaO.sub.14) or mono calcium citrate powder by using shells and application thereof and, more specifically, to a method for manufacturing liquid calcium citrate by using shell powder and citric acid and mono calcium by drying same, and application thereof.
HYDRO-LIQUID SOLUBLE FILMS, PRODUCTS AND USES THEREOF
Films compositions for packaging and delivering a foodstuff, pharmaceutical, industrial, manufacturing and agricultural materials and uses are disclosed. The film can be formed from at least one biodegradable film forming agent, and at least one biodegradable plasticizer. The resulting film can be formed and shaped to a variety of film package configurations and can have multi compartments.
