An apparatus for producing nano-bubbles in a moving liquid carrier includes a conduit through which a liquid carrier can flow, a gas diffuser disposed on an inner surface of the conduit, and a funnel comprising: (i) a first open end having a first cross-sectional area that receives a moving liquid carrier; (ii) a second open end opposite the first open end defining a second cross-sectional area smaller than the first cross-sectional area and fluidly coupled to the opening of the conduit; and (iii) a wall extending from the first open end to the second open end. The funnel is configured to create turbulent flow above the turbulent threshold in the absence of external energy that allows the liquid carrier to shear gas from the outer surface of the diffuser, thereby forming nano-bubbles in the liquid carrier.

BIOREACTOR COMPRISING AN INTERNAL RESONANT VIBRATORY MOTOR FOR AGITATION OF BIODEGRADABLE WASTE COMPRISING HORIZONTAL AND DIAGONAL EXTENSION SPRINGS
20210291082 · 2021-09-23 ·

The present invention is a resonant vibratory agitation mechanism for installing inside bioreactor containers for agitating and degrading biodegradable waste. It either comprises of a sole layer of horizontally arranged springs with at least one vibration motor installed inside each of the springs, or comprises of a central frame, a plurality of vibration motors fixed on the central frame and a plurality of layers of horizontally or diagonally arranged extension springs. It provides sound waves, vibrations, resonant vibratory frequencies and heat for agitating and degrading biodegradable waste inside a bioreactor container. It saves costs to fabricate a bioreactor container by assembling a plurality of cylindrical drum barrels on top of a receiving tank. A closed-loop recirculation of water, heat, nutrients, O.sub.2 and CO.sub.2 may be established by integrating the present bioreactor system with wicking beds, hydroponics/aeroponics growing beds, a stove unit and a greenhouse.

The gas-dissolved producing apparatus 1 includes an ozone gas supply unit 2 for supplying ozone gas, a pure water supply unit 3 for supplying pure water, and an ozonated water generator 4 for dissolving ozone gas in supplied pure water to generate ozonated water. The generator 4 includes a first nozzle 10 having a first optimum flow rate, a second nozzle 11 having a second optimum flow rate different from the first optimum flow rate, a flow rate detector 15 for detecting the flow rate of the supplied pure water, and a controller 16 for controlling which one of the first nozzle and the second nozzle should be supplied with the supplied gas, based on the flow rate of the pure water detected by the detector 15.

Apparatus for treating water

An apparatus (12) for treating water, in particular for removing surfactants from waste water, includes a vessel (14), defining an inlet (16) for receiving waste water containing air bubbles, and an outlet (20) for the exit of water, following treatment. Inside the vessel there is at least one tubular member (50) having a lower open end (52) into which the flow of waste water from the inlet may be directed in use. The tubular member (50) extends from the inlet towards a top of the vessel where an upper exit (54) from the tubular member is defined. In use, most un-aerated water entering the vessel through the inlet can exit the tubular member at the lower open end. Foam formed in the water by the air bubbles may travel up the tubular member to the upper exit, which is preferably located above the water level (60) in the vessel.
