VOLATILLES CAPTURE EDUCTOR SYSTEM
20220370968 · 2022-11-24 · ·

A volatiles consuming eductor system for coated scrap metal furnaces with separate delacquering and melt chambers. Motive gas is forced through an inlet into a mixing chamber in a direction opposite a suction port, creating a Venturi that draws gases from the delaquering chamber through the mixing chamber. The motive gas and the drawn gases mix and are forced through a discharge port, ignited, and injected into the melt chamber to help heat the melt chamber. A computer monitors process conditions and controls a regulator that adjusts the motive gas flow in response to those conditions.

In addition, the method includes using processing equipment of the centralized facility to process the water, the sand, and the one or more chemicals to produce a fracturing slurry. The method also includes conveying the fracturing slurry from the centralized facility to one or more fracturing sites.

System for Introducing Gas into a Gas Grid Pipeline
20220355259 · 2022-11-10 ·

A system for introducing gas from an unconventional source into a gas grid pipeline includes a passive blender (10) that introduces gas from an unconventional source (1) into a gas grid (2), the passive blender (10) having gas inputs (3, 11) from the unconventional source (1) and the gas grid (2) and a blended gas output (12), and wherein an internal flow path within the passive blender (10) is shaped and sized to provide entraining and mixing of the gases. The passive blender (10) acts to entrain gas from a gas grid (2) through input (11) by utilising the flow of gas from an unconventional source (1) through input 3, proportionally blending inputs 3 and 11 before outputting the blended gas back to the main gas grid (2). The system comprises the passive blender (10) of the present invention, a first gas input pipe (11) from a grid gas pipeline (2) into the passive blender (10) a second gas input pipe (3) from the unconventional source (1) into the passive blender (1), and an output pipe (12) from the passive blender (10) into the grid gas pipeline (2). The blender (10) and system of the present invention are advantageous in that they can greatly reduce the necessary conditioning of unconventional gas before it is introduced into a gas grid supply (2) without additional means of flow motivation or controls.

WATER DISPENSERS FOR DISPENSING CARBONIZED WATER AND METHOD

The invention relates to a carbonized water dispensing device (1) provided with a carbonized water conditioning chamber (2), which conditioning chamber (2) is provided downstream of the carbonator (7) and upstream of the carbonized water dispensing outlet (5), for receiving a mixture of carbonized water mixed with unresolved CO2, which conditioning chamber (2) is dimensioned to hold a single serve of carbonized water with a headspace, and which carbonized water conditioning chamber (2) is provided with an outlet valve (17) and a gas outlet (18). According to the invention, the carbonized water dispensing device (1) is configured to, upon receiving a beverage dispensing order, provide the empty carbonized water conditioning chamber (2) with a single serve volume of carbonized water, and hold the single serve of carbonized water prior to dispensing the single serve volume of carbonized water.

HIGH RATE THICKENER AND EDUCTORS THEREFOR
20220055935 · 2022-02-24 ·

A thickener for dewatering fluids having a vessel with a central well extending proximate a top portion of the vessel to a lower cone-shaped portion, a hindered settling zone, and a compressible sediment layer zone within the lower cone-shaped portion. Eductors housed in inlet wells have an inlet nozzle and a mixing tube to receive slurry to be treated and clear fluid to be mixed with the slurry. The fluid from the eductors is directed in counter circular paths via circular chambers situated proximate the inlet wells, such that fluid flowing in each direction collides and forms turbulence within the central well. Resultant fluid is directed into a lamella-type separator circumferentially located about a portion of the central well, having layered fluid paths directed radially outwards from said center longitudinal axis and upwards towards said vessel top portion through a conical, inclined fluid path, plate structure. The eductors are adjustable with a movable iris for limiting the amount of clear fluid exiting the eductor.

Systems and processes for accelerated carbonation curing of pre-cast cementitious structures

Systems for accelerated carbonation curing of a pre-cast cementitious structure may include an ejector and a curing chamber downstream of the ejector. The ejector may be operable to combine a lesser-pressure carbon dioxide containing stream from a carbon dioxide source with a greater-pressure steam to produce a mixed stream including at least steam and carbon dioxide. The mixed stream may have a pressure greater than the pressure of the lesser-pressure carbon dioxide containing stream. The curing chamber may be operable to receive the mixed stream from the ejector and contact the mixed stream with the pre-cast cementitious structure to cure the pre-cast cementitious structure. Processes for accelerated carbonation curing of pre-cast cementitious structures using the systems are also disclosed.

Eductor based mixer for mixing stucco and water

A mixing assembly includes a main flow conduit having an inlet end and an opposite outlet, a source of pressurized air at the inlet end, a container of stucco in fluid communication with the flow conduit, and a source of water in fluid communication with the flow conduit between the outlet and the container. The pressurized air draws stucco from the container into the flow conduit, and also draws water into the flow conduit to form an atomized slurry.
