A mixer mixes exhaust gas (A) flowing in an exhaust gas-carrying duct of an internal combustion engine with reactant (R) injected into the exhaust gas-carrying duct. The mixer includes a mixer body (26) with a reactant-receiving duct (32) as well as a releasing device (36) with a releasing duct (34). The releasing device adjoins the reactant-receiving duct (32) in a transition area (42) and leads away from the reactant-receiving duct. The releasing device (36) has an asymmetric configuration in relation to a longitudinal axis (LR) of the reactant-receiving duct.

FLUID-GAS MIXER

A fluid-gas mixer including a housing, defining a primary axis, for mixing fluid and gas, a mixer nozzle circumscribing the primary axis, wherein an annular gap between an outer surface of the mixer nozzle and an inner surface of the housing defines at least one outer gas path, a swirling gas passage defining an inner gas path for mixing with the outer gas path.

Mixing reactor and related process

A mixing reactor for precipitating nanoparticles by mixing a precursor fluid with a second fluid at a higher temperature than the precursor fluid. The reactor comprises: a first fluid conduit with an inlet region configured to receive a flow of the precursor fluid, and an outlet region configured to output a mixed flow; and a second fluid conduit configured to receive a flow of the second fluid. The second fluid conduit extends into the first fluid conduit in a direction substantially perpendicular to the flow within the first fluid conduit, and has an opening for introducing the second fluid into the first fluid conduit. Related processes for producing nanoparticles are disclosed.

Multi fluid injection mixer

This disclosure includes mixers and methods of mixing. Some mixers comprise at least one contacting element, each defining at least one mixing channel. Each of the mixing channel(s) can have a cross-sectional area that decreases in a downstream direction to accelerate any pipe fluid flowing through the mixing channel. The contacting surface of each of the mixing channel(s) can deflect at least a portion of any pipe fluid flowing through the mixing channel until the contacting surface ends at an edge at a point of maximum constriction. Each of the contacting element(s) can define one or more injection path(s) to at least one of the contacting surface(s), each configured to inject admixture fluid onto the contacting surface such that the admixture fluid is entrained by pipe fluid over the edge.
