Foam-at-a-distance systems, foam generators and refill units
Exemplary foam-at-a-distance systems, refill units and foam generators are disclosed herein. An exemplary foam generator includes a body having an inlet for receiving air and an inlet for receiving liquid. The foam generator includes a plurality of baffles located within the body. A plurality of elongated spaces are formed at least in part by the baffles. The elongated spaces have a length that is greater than a width.
Inlet assembly for aftertreatment system
An inlet assembly for an aftertreatment system includes an inlet portion that receives a flow of exhaust gases, and a diffuser plate. The diffuser plate includes a body including a first section disposed in front of a first DOC. The first section defines a number of first holes having a first diameter to direct exhaust gases towards the first DOC. The body also includes a second section disposed in front of a second DOC. The second DOC is disposed adjacent to the first DOC in a parallel configuration. The second section defines a number of second holes and an elliptical opening. Each of the number of second holes has a second diameter that is different from the first diameter. The number of second holes and the elliptical opening direct exhaust gases towards the second DOC.
FUEL TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR RETAIL FUELING STATIONS AND RELATED METHODS
A retail fueling station includes: (a) a fuel supply line extending between a fuel storage tank and a fuel dispensing system; (b) a treatment fluid supply line coupled to a treatment fluid storage tank; and (c) a treatment fluid injection system including: (i) a mixing conduit mounted to the fuel supply line and through which untreated fuel flows when conducted through the fuel supply line from the fuel storage tank toward the fuel dispensing system; (ii) one or more pressure reducers in the mixing conduit for providing a reduced pressure region immediately downstream of each pressure reducer; and (iii) one or more injection ports in the mixing conduit for injection of treatment fluid received from the treatment fluid supply line into corresponding reduced pressure regions for mixture with the untreated fuel flowing through the mixing conduit to produce treated fuel.
Continuous flow reactor
A continuous flow reactor without any moving parts to facilitate solid-liquid reaction without clogging is disclosed herein. It comprises plurality of identical cavities in series/sequence, each cavity being provided with: a pair of inlets at the top to allow entry of reactants into the reactor; an outlet at the bottom to allow the reactants to the next cavity for mixing; and a jacket covering around the cavities to provide heating or cooling effect as per the requirement. The outlet of the previous cavity is inclined at a suitable angle relative to the outlet of the next cavity to prevent clogging and facilitate efficient mixing of the reactants.
Foam generating device
A foam generating device includes a housing defining an agitation chamber and a conditioning chamber. A cartridge assembly arranged within the agitation chamber defines an agitation flow path of the solution to increase a quantity of a gas in the solution. A conditioning assembly arranged within the conditioning chamber defines a tortuous flow path for the solution including a plurality of cylindrical discs configured to sequentially receive the solution. Each of the discs defines a plurality of radial ribs on a first side and on a second side opposite the first side, the first and second sides separated by a floor, and a disc passage defined in the floor. The conditioning assembly is adjustable in order to selectively define the tortuous flow path with a first quantity of radial ribs and second quantity of radial ribs in order to alter the aeration of the solution along the tortuous path.
Water processing apparatus
A water processing system is provided for processing or conditioning water to be distributed to a downstream function or system. The system includes a water processor with a conditioning element disposed inside a housing between an inlet and outlet of the housing. The conditioning element includes a series of plates having apertures with sharp edges to direct the flow of water and facilitate splitting of small gas bubbles into even smaller nano-bubbles. The plates may have different configurations of apertures. Optionally, a mixer injector introduces a gas, in the form of gas bubbles, into the water flow upstream of the water processor. The injector introduces additional gas volume in the form of relatively large bubbles, which are subsequently split into smaller bubbles (including nano-bubbles) in the water processor.
