HIGH SPEED INJECTOR WITH AN IMPROVED STEAM VALVE
20200009516 · 2020-01-09 ·

A valve comprising a valve spindle housing located in the side of the chamber and including a first fluid inlet and a first fluid outlet, and a cylinder open along a portion of a longitudinal axis of the cylinder and rotatably mounted in the valve spindle housing. The cylinder is positioned in one position so that the cylinder completely obstructs the valve spindle housing outlet, not allowing any fluid to pass around the cylinder. The cylinder walls are solid except for having openings through a portion of the cylinder, so that when rotated to a closed position, the solid portion of the cylinder fully obstructs the valve spindle housing outlet, and when rotated to an open position, the first fluid can pass into the inside of the cylinder and then through the openings and out of the valve spindle housing.

Heating, mixing and hydrating apparatus and process

The invention relates to apparatus and a process for mixing a gas/vapour with a process liquid comprising a material and a carrier liquid. The apparatus comprises a passage (10) having an inlet (14), an outlet (16) for a process liquid comprising the material, and an inlet (24) for introducing supersonic steam at a mixing zone (42). The profile of the mixing zone (42) can be varied to optimise mixing.

HORIZONTAL PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM USING STATIC BAFFLES IN A DISTRIBUTOR

The present invention is directed to an applicator having an agricultural product mechanical and/or pneumatic conveying system which transfers particulate material from one or more source containers to application equipment on demand, and meters the material at the application equipment. The conveying system includes a static distributor interconnecting the supply lines of the conveying system with the distribution lines connected to the individual nozzles. The static distributor includes internal structures that effectively divert the incoming particulate material evenly across the interior of the static distributor such that the particulate material is evenly distributed into each of the distribution lines. The static distributor accomplishes this without the need for any moving parts or control systems/devices. In addition, damage done to the particulate material flowing through the distributor is not high, and the operation of the distributor creates a lower pressure drop across the distributor than prior art vertical distributors.

HIGH SPEED INJECTOR APPARATUS WITH DUAL THROTTLE BODIES

An apparatus for mixing a first fluid into a flow path of a second fluid, the apparatus comprising: a chamber enclosing the flow path, the chamber including a second fluid first inlet for receiving its respective fluid. The apparatus also includes a second inlet arranged downstream of the first inlet and receiving the first fluid, as well as an outlet arranged downstream of the second inlet for discharging a mixture of the first fluid and the second fluid. The second inlet flows into the flow path and is formed by a shared fluid injector mounted transverse to the axial direction that one fluid and the two fluid flows through its chamber. The flow path includes two respective throttle bodies, each of which is pivotally arranged inside the chamber and attached to opposed sides of the chamber for controlling the flow area of the flow path.

APPARATUSES AND SYSTEMS FOR AND METHODS OF GENERATING AND PLACING ZERO-SLUMP-PUMPABLE CONCRETE
20190308342 · 2019-10-10 ·

Methods, systems, and devices, are developed for creating a means of in-situ placement of a concrete mix that can have the thixotropy to hold vertical dimension without containment, while maintaining pliability to be pumped into place and manipulated to a desired shape, and can be combined with concrete set accelerators, allowing subsequent layers of this concrete mix to be continuously stacked in place to build tall walls and such without the use of forms. Concrete without these special properties is pumped toward the point of placement where it is modified by injecting and mixing, into that line of pumped concrete, an admixture containing thixotropes, thickeners and/or set accelerators or other modifiers to provide these properties and other improvements. This method allows conventional plant batching with commonly available constituent materials for batching an economical concrete that is delivered to a jobsite and then is pumped most of the way to a point of placement, before inline modification; allowing minimal conveyance and pumping of a zero-slump and set-accelerated concrete mix, avoiding difficulties and risk associated with pumping such a modified concrete mix. Various means of metering the injection of the admixture flow rate to correspond proportionally to the concrete flow rate are also disclosed. Alternatively a means for modifying a volumetric concrete batching and mixing system to achieve the same result is disclosed. A system is disclosed for defining a vertical or sloped concrete surface utilizing a movable beam attached to guide elements with sliding brackets, with the beam contact surface optionally having an active non-stick system.

The apparatus further comprises a vertically adjustable throttle body an end portion comprising three parts, the first part being upstream of the second part, the third part being downstream of the second part, wherein, in an operating position, the second inlet is upstream of the third part of the throttle body and downstream of the first inlet and wherein the first part and the third part of the end portion are adapted to achieve a higher flow rate than the second part.

STATIC MIXING DEVICES AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
20190076800 · 2019-03-14 · ·

A static mixing device subassembly that can be joined with other static mixing device subassemblies to form a static mixing device. The subassembly comprises a first pair of intersecting grids of spaced-apart and parallel deflector blades and a second pair of intersecting grids of spaced-apart and parallel deflector blades. The deflector blades in each one of the grids are interleaved with the deflector blades in the paired intersecting grid and have uncut side portions that join them together along a transverse strip where the deflector blades cross each other and cut side portions that extend from the uncut side portions to the ends of the deflector blades. Each of the deflector blades in one of the grids in each pair of grids has a bent portion that places segments of the deflector blade on opposite sides of the uncut portion in offset parallel planes. Some or all of the deflector blades in the other one of the grids in one of the pairs of grids has uncut ends that are interconnected with uncut ends of deflector blades in the other one of the grids in the other one of the pairs of grids along a reverse bend that aligns one of the pairs of grids with the other pair of grids.
