INTEGRATED APPARATUS FOR MIXING AND SEPARATING FLUID PHASES AND METHOD THEREFOR

This disclosure relates generally to mixing and separating phases of a mixture, and, more particularly, to an integrated apparatus for mixing and separating immiscible fluid phases and method therefor. The apparatus includes an inlet section, a mixing section, a separating section, and an outlet section. The mixing section includes multiple spiral turns for separately introducing the fluid phases of different specific gravity into the mixing section. Each of the spiral turns includes a helical channel followed by a counter-helical channel for enabling mixing of fluid phases. The counter-helical channel changes the direction of flow of fluid phases upon flow of said fluid phases from the helical channel to the counter-helical channel. The separating section extends from the mixing section separates the fluid phases based on specific gravity difference of fluid phases. The outlet section facilitates in separate withdrawal of fluid phases based on the specific gravity of said fluid phases.

Fluid mixer and apparatus using fluid mixer

A fluid mixer of the present invention has an element (1) and a chassis (2) that accommodates the element therein and that is engaged with at least both ends of the element, the element having: a first-flow-path forming section (13) at an end of which a fluid inlet (3) is formed and in which a first flow path (4) is formed; and a body section (12) at an end of which a fluid outlet (8) is formed, in which a second flow path (5) is formed, and on an outer circumferential surface of which a plurality of communicating holes (11) are formed so as to allow the second flow path to communicate with the outside. A plurality of delay members (9) are discontinuously formed in a flow-path axial direction on at least one of an inner circumferential surface of the chassis and the outer circumferential surface of the body section, a single continuous space is formed between the inner circumferential surface of the chassis and the outer circumferential surface of the body section, the space serves as a third flow path (6), and the communicating holes serve as branch flow paths (7).

The fluidic device includes: a first substrate and a second substrate which are stacked in a thickness direction; an undiluted solution introduction flow path which has an undiluted solution introduction port and which is constituted of a groove part provided on at least one of the first substrate and the second substrate; a first circulation flow path which is constituted of a groove part having an annular shape and having a shared part that shares part of a flow path with the undiluted solution introduction flow path and a non-shared part which is not shared with the undiluted solution introduction flow path and which is connected to a diluting solution introduction port; a second circulation flow path which is provided independently of the first circulation flow path and which is constituted of a groove part having an annular shape and having a shared part that shares some flow path with the undiluted solution introduction flow path and a non-shared part which is not shared with the undiluted solution introduction flow path and which is connected to a diluting solution introduction port; and/or a third circulation flow path which is constituted of a groove part having an annular shape and having a shared flow path that shares part of a flow path with the first circulation flow path and a non-shared flow path which is not shared with the first circulation flow path and which is connected to a diluting solution introduction port, wherein the undiluted solution introduction flow path includes a valve at both ends of the shared part.

BOTTLING SYSTEM

A container system for liquids, including an in-container mixer/aerator in the exit throat of the container. The mixer/aerator is a cylinder, having axial peripheral grooves, and and axial central bore, divided by axial vanes.

Mixing Device

A mixer assembly comprises a tubular housing including a reductant inlet, an exhaust gas inlet and an exhaust gas outlet. The tubular housing defines a longitudinal axis along which exhaust enters the housing. The reductant inlet is positioned on a first side of the tubular housing. An upstream element covers approximately one-half of the cross sectional area of the enhaust gas inlet and is positioned upstream of the reductant inlet. An upstream surface of the upstream mixing element directs exhaust gas flow transversly toward the reductant inlet. A downstream mixing element along with the upstream mixing element at least partially defines a reductant receiving duct in which injected reductant and exhaust gas mix.

AERATING SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES, AND METHODS

An apparatus includes a body having a length extending from a first end to a second end. The body defines a bore extending through the entirety of the body and at least one of a plurality of grooves or holes around the bore. The body has a length that is dimensioned to be received entirely within a neck of a container.

REDUCING AGENT MIXER

The present disclosure relates to mixing devices included in automotive exhaust treatment systems. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to reducing agent mixers for mixing reducing agents with exhaust streams to induce a chemical reaction between the reducing agent and exhaust gasses to reduce Nitrous Oxides (NOx) in the exhaust gas. Reducing agent mixers in accordance with the present disclosure include reducing agent delivery devices for conducting reducing agents into an internal mixing space through which exhaust gasses flow.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PURIFICATION OF DRINKING WATER, ETHANOL AND ALCOHOL BEVERAGES OF IMPURITIES

A system and method for the purification of beverage fluids, primarily alcohol beverages, based on the action of hydrodynamic cavitation processing of microbiological and chemical contaminants, micro particles and colloidal particles. The system is a batch system with a single vessel having an extraction tube and discharge tube extending into the same reservoir of fluid. Fluid is drawn through the extraction tube and forced through the discharge tube. The discharge tube contains cavitation elements dispersed along its length to generate hydrodynamic cavitation in the fluid as it is pumped through. The discharge fluid is mixed with the fluid already in the vessel and is re-drawn through the extraction tube in continuous batch processing.
