FUEL CELL STACK INLET FLOW CONTROL
A duct for a fuel cell module includes an upper duct hood having an inlet configured to receive reactant gas from a supply duct, the upper duct hood defining a first tapered portion and a second tapered portion. The duct further includes a lower duct hood fluidly coupled to the upper duct hood, the lower duct hood defining at least one outlet. In a side view, the second tapered portion is tapered inwardly in a downstream direction. In a top view, the first tapered portion is tapered inwardly in a downstream direction, and the second tapered portion is tapered outwardly moving downstream.
Apparatus for dispersing particles in a liquid
In one example, a liquid mixture nozzle for flowing a liquid mixture therethrough includes a body having a flow inlet and a flow outlet. The flow inlet is configured to couple to a first piece of piping and the flow outlet is configured to couple to a second piece of piping. The liquid mixture nozzle also includes a converging section having a decreasing diameter positioned adjacent the flow inlet, an orifice positioned at a narrow end of the converging section, an intermediate section having a constant diameter positioned adjacent the orifice, a diverging section having an increasing diameter positioned adjacent the intermediate section and the flow outlet.
WASHER LIQUID SUPPLY SYSTEM
Provided is a washer liquid supply system in a simple structure and capable of improving the capacity of washing an object of a vehicle. A washer liquid supply system includes: a washer tank mounted on a vehicle to store washer liquid; a supply section mounted on the vehicle to supply the washer liquid in the washer tank to a window shield of the vehicle; and a connecting member being a bubbling section mounted on the vehicle to make the washer liquid contain bubbles, wherein the supply section supplies the washer liquid containing the bubbles to the window shield.
WASHER LIQUID SUPPLY SYSTEM
A washer liquid supply system is disclosed which includes: a supply section mounted on a vehicle to supply the washer liquid in the washer tank to an object of the vehicle; and a bubbling section to make the washer liquid contain bubbles. The supply section integrally includes the bubbling section.
Methods and systems for detecting biological components
Methods for the detection of components from biological samples are provided. In certain aspects, the methods may be used to detect and/or quantify specific components in a biological sample, such as tumor cells (e.g., circulating tumor cells). Systems and devices for practicing the subject methods are also provided.
BIOLOGIC FLUID ANALYSIS CARTRIDGE
A biological fluid sample analysis cartridge is provided. The cartridge includes a housing, a fluid module, and an analysis chamber. The fluid module includes a sample acquisition port and an initial channel, and is connected to the housing. The initial channel is sized to draw fluid sample by capillary force, and is in fluid communication with the acquisition port. The initial channel is fixedly positioned relative to the acquisition port such that at least a portion of a fluid sample disposed within the acquisition port will draw into the initial channel. The analysis chamber is connected to the housing, and is in fluid communication with the initial channel.
Processes for extracting carbohydrates from biomass and converting the carbohydrates into biofuels
A process for extracting carbohydrates from biomass and creating bioalcohol from the extracted carbohydrates. Subjecting the biomass to acid or alkali hydrolysis in a first hydrodynamic cavitation process. Filtering the first cavitated biomass to separate a first filtrate containing extracted carbohydrates. Fermenting the first filtrate to create a bioalcohol and separating the bioalcohol by distillation or similar process. Subjecting the biomass to enzymatic hydrolysis in a second hydrodynamic cavitation process. Filtering the second cavitated biomass to separate a second filtrate containing extracted carbohydrates. Fermenting the second filtrate to create a bioalcohol and separating the bioalcohol by distillation or similar process. The first and second filtrates may be combined and fermented in a single step.
Bubble generating device
The purpose of the present disclosure is, in a bubble generating device provided with a bubble generating unit for generating minute bubbles in water flowing through the inside of the cylindrical main body unit, to improve the bubble generating efficiency of the bubble generating unit. Provided is a bubble generating device provided with a cylindrical main body unit and a bubble generating unit disposed within the main body, wherein: the bubble generating unit is provided with slits extending radially centered on one point within the main body unit in a cross-sectional plane of the main body unit, and a column part protruding from the inner peripheral surface of main body unit and formed on the peripheral edge of the slits; and the amount of protrusion of the column part is gradually reduced toward the upstream side from the peripheral edges of the slits, and the column part has a recessed part formed on the downstream surface.
WASHING MACHINE
A washing machine according to the present invention comprises: a cabinet which forms an outer shape; a tub which is disposed inside of the cabinet, and in which washing water is stored; a pump which circulates the washing water stored in the tub; a circulating nozzle which sprays, into the inside of the tub, the washing water supplied from the pump; a circulating hose which connects the pump to the tub, and guides the circulated washing water to the circulating nozzle; and an atomizing unit which is disposed on the circulating hose, and atomizes the circulated washing water by mixing air. The washing machine according to the present invention supplies, into the inside of the tub through an air mixer, washing water in which air is included, and thus has an advantage of reducing the total flow rate of the used washing water.
Mixer and processes incorporating the same
The present invention relates to a mixer, an apparatus comprising the mixer and a reactor, and processes incorporating the same. The mixer comprises an inlet (104) to a chamber (102), wherein the chamber inlet angle is less than 90. The mixer further comprises an expander zone (106) that expands outwardly at an expander angle of less than 90. The mixer may be coupled to a reactor at its outlet, which may closely approximate the size of the reactor inlet due to the expander (106).
