Carbonation method
A method and apparatus for carbonating a liquid in a pressurizable vessel, including first connecting a vessel with a carbon dioxide tank, wherein said vessel contains a liquid. A vessel can then be pressurized with carbon dioxide to a desired pressure. A pump or compressor can be activated to circulate gas through a hose out of the head space of the vessel to a carbonating stone back into the vessel. After a pre-determined period of time the pump is deactivated, and the carbon dioxide can cease to be introduced to the liquid within the vessel.
Dosing method and associated facility
A method for dosing an injection product into a base product, in particular, for the production of a finishing and/or protective paint product, including the following steps: (a) supply of a mixing device, (b) establishment of a continuous flow of base product, (c) injection of the injection product into the continuous flow for a given time, (d) measurement of the amount of injection product injected, (e) calculation of a desired amount of base product based on the amount of injection product injected, steps (c), (d) and (e) being repeated when the amount of base product having passed since the start of step (c) is equal to the amount of base product desired, the injection product being injected into the base product only during step (c).
INSTALLATION AND METHOD FOR DISTRIBUTING A GAS MIXTURE
A plant for delivering a gas mixture including a source of a first gas, a source of a second gas, a mixer device fluidically connected to the source of first gas and to the source of second gas. A first flow regulator member and a second flow regulator member, a control unit, a buffer tank, at least one measurement sensor configured to measure a physical quantity, the variation of which is representative of a variation in the consumption flow rate delivered by the delivery line and to provide a first measurement signal of said physical quantity.
Systems and methods for generating a conductive liquid comprising deionized water with ammonia gas dissolved therein
Systems and methods are described for dissolving ammonia gas in deionized water. The system includes a deionized water source and a gas mixing device including a first inlet for receiving ammonia gas, a second inlet for receiving a transfer gas, and a mixed gas outlet for outputting a gas mixture including the ammonia gas and the transfer gas. The system includes a contactor that receives the deionized water and the gas mixture and generates deionized water having ammonia gas dissolved therein. The system includes a sensor in fluid communication with at least one inlet of the contactor for measuring a flow rate of the deionized water, and a controller in communication with the sensor. The controller sets a flow rate of the ammonia gas based on the flow rate of the deionized water measured by the sensor, and a predetermined conductivity set point.
Method of controlling salinity of a low salinity injection water
An integrated system includes a desalination plant including a reverse osmosis (RO) array to produce an RO permeate blending stream and a nanofiltration (NF) array to produce an NF permeate blending stream. The integrated system also includes a blending system. Further, the integrated system includes a control unit. Still further, the integrated system includes an injection system for one or more injection wells that penetrate an oil-bearing layer of a reservoir. Moreover, the integrated system includes a production facility to separate fluids produced from one or more production wells that penetrate the oil-bearing layer of the reservoir and to deliver a produced water (PW) stream to the blending system. The blending system is configured to blend the RO permeate and NF permeate blending streams with the PW stream to produce a blended low salinity water stream. The control unit is configured to dynamically alter operation of the blending system to adjust amounts of at least one of the RO permeate blending stream and the NF permeate blending stream to maintain a composition of the blended low salinity water stream within a predetermined operating envelope.
Wet frac-sand delivery system
A wet frac-sand well site delivery system is a process and method of storing, measuring and regulating the percent solids or PPA (pounds of proppant added) in a sand slurry. The wet sand delivery system is a closed loop, on-site storage system that can receive and store wet frac-sand. The wet sand delivery system takes the wet sand directly from the wash plant and transports it to a wet sand storage pit. From the wet sand storage pit, the sand is pumped directly to a blender or regulator for mixing into a sand slurry for subsequent delivery to a frac pump.
Low pressure fluctuation apparatuses for blending fluids, and methods of using the same
A low pressure fluctuation control apparatus comprises a liquid recirculation loop comprising a dip tube, a diaphragm or bellows type pump, a first regulator, a first flow meter, a junction, and a return tube. A back pressure controller is located in the return tube. In addition, the apparatus comprises a material supply line fluidly connected the liquid recirculation loop via the junction. A flow control system is located in the material supply line. The recirculation loop draws liquid from a supply container by the dip tube, and returns a portion of the liquid to the supply container by the return tube. The backpressure flow controller regulates the flow rate of the liquid, thereby steadying fluctuations in the liquid being supplied.
METHOD TO DISPENSE FLUID PRODUCTS, AND MACHINE FOR DISPENSING FLUID PRODUCTS
A method to dispense fluid products is implemented in a dispensing machine by combining gravimetric and volumetric dispensing techniques which comprises at least one containing unit to contain at least one fluid and equipped with a dispensing mean, a dispensing station comprising a dispensing head fluidically connected to the containing unit and equipped with at least one dispensing nozzle, a user interface to enter input data for the preparation of a fluid product, and a control unit connected to the user interface and to the dispensing mean of the containing unit so as to command the dispensing of the fluid.
