ROW PLANTER LOCK ASSEMBLY
A lock assembly is provided for a row planter unit to maintain the unit in a raised transport position and to relieve stress on the hydraulic system of the planter unit. The lock assembly includes a lock arm pivotally mounted to the bracket assembly of the row planter unit for selective receipt in a notch or detent on the mounting plate or mast of the bracket assembly so as to retain the row unit in the raised transport position. The lock arm can be disengaged from the bracket assembly notch or detent, such that the planter unit can be lowered to the field use position.
Plow with resettable plow bottom
A plow bottom is configured to be easily reset when striking a rock while plowing. The plow operator may set the force required for the plow bottom to disengage using the adjustment switch. Once the shank strikes an object, the plow bottom will disengage. The plow operator then lifts the plow assembly using the tractor to raise the plow bottoms out of the ground. A spring then forces the disengaged plow bottom to reengage. Once the plow bottom is reengaged, the plow operator lowers the plow assembly and continues plowing the land.
Row unit for agricultural implement
An agricultural row unit for use with a towing frame hitched to a tractor includes an attachment frame adapted to be rigidly connected to the towing frame, a linkage pivotably coupled to the attachment frame, and a row unit frame having a leading end pivotably coupled to the linkage to permit vertical pivoting movement of the row unit frame relative to the attachment frame. A hydraulic cylinder coupled to the attachment frame and the linkage, for urging the row unit frame downwardly toward the soil, includes a movable ram extending into the cylinder, and a hydraulic-fluid cavity within the cylinder for receiving pressurized hydraulic fluid for advancing the ram in a direction that pivots the linkage and the row unit frame downwardly toward the soil. An accumulator positioned adjacent to the hydraulic cylinder has a fluid chamber containing a diaphragm, with the portion of the chamber on one side of the diaphragm being connected to the hydraulic-fluid cavity in the hydraulic cylinder, and the portion of the chamber on the other side of the diaphragm containing a pressurized gas.
System for measuring and interpreting a force
A system (1) for measuring and interpreting a force, comprises at least one working implement, for acting on an agricultural field and at least one force sensor, for measuring a force of the working implement. Further, a data interpretation unit calculates an interpretation of the measured force; wherein the data interpretation unit comprises a machine learning unit that calculates the interpretation of the measured force. Also, a system for controlling agricultural operations comprises at least one agricultural working means for working on an agricultural field and at least one first imaging device located at the agricultural working means for acquiring images of an environment of the agricultural working means.
System and method for monitoring an operational status of a shear pin for a ground-engaging assembly of an agricultural implement
A system for monitoring the operational status of shear pins for ground-engaging assemblies of agricultural implements includes a ground-engaging assembly including an attachment structure pivotably coupling the ground-engaging assembly to a frame of an agricultural implement, a ground-engaging tool pivotably coupled to the attachment structure at a pivot joint, and a shear pin at least partially extending through the attachment structure and the ground-engaging tool to prevent pivoting of the ground-engaging tool about the pivot joint. The system also includes an orientation sensor configured to generate data indicative of an orientation of the attachment structure, and a computing system communicatively coupled to the orientation sensor. The computing system is configured to monitor the orientation of the attachment structure and determine a change in an operational status of the shear pin based on detected changes in the monitored orientation of the attachment structure.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING BOLT SHEAR IN A SHANK ASSEMBLY OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT
An agricultural system includes a tillage implement with a frame, a shank mount coupled to or integrally formed with the frame, a rotary sensor coupled to the shank mount, and a shank coupled to a bracket via a first fastener. The tillage implement also includes a rod assembly with a first end portion coupled to the bracket via a shear bolt that is configured to shear upon contact by the shank and a second end portion coupled to a rotary shaft of the rotary sensor.
Device and system for providing an agricultural ground working implement with down pressure and protective hydraulic cushion for obstacle impact
A pair of inner plates which are mounted to a coulter wheel by a hub bolted to the two inner plates in one end, and a bearing on an opposing end. A pair of outer plates retains the inner plates and coulter wheel while provide attachment means for a hydraulic cylinder. A hydraulic cylinder is mounted between two tabs located on outer plates and between the inner plates adjacent to the pivot bearing and opposite the coulter wheel. The hydraulic cylinder is connected to a accumulator which provides for a static down pressure. Upon impact with an obstacle, the force pushing up on the coulter wheel overcomes that of the downward static pressure and the hydraulic cylinder retracts allowing the coulter wheel to move in response to the impact force. Trash wheels are bolted to the outer plates parallel to the coulter wheel or at any desired angle.
AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT WITH COMBINED DOWN FORCE AND DEPTH CONTROL
An agricultural implement system is provided that includes a down force cylinder configured to apply a downward force to a row unit, and a depth control cylinder configured to vary a penetration depth of a ground engaging tool of the row unit. The agricultural implement system also includes a valve assembly in fluid communication with the down force cylinder and the depth control cylinder. The valve assembly is configured to automatically adjust the downward force by varying fluid pressure within the down force cylinder based on fluid pressure within the depth control cylinder.
Agricultural device for restoring soil fertility
This agricultural device introduces an innovative approach to soil treatment that restores the fertility of depleted soils, which currently depend on chemical fertilizers to keep up with global food production needs. The new technology is based upon the concept of bioenergetics, whereby soil is conceived as the main factor that needs to be balanced in order to increase natural soil fertility, crop production, and food quality. This scientifically-based farming technology utilizes horizontal tillageas opposed to conventional tillageto reduce the entropy of the soil-plant-atmosphere system, helping regenerate biological memory and natural soil fertility. This new technology has been successfully tested on various kinds of terrains and crops, and its application progressively turns nature into the main factor of production equation, allowing us to reduce agrochemical dependency and production costs, and allowing us to overcome the apparent dichotomy that now exists between high food production needs and environmental care.
Suspension assembly and kit for a planter
A suspension set for an agricultural implement includes a first arm, a holder attached to a portion of a chassis of the agricultural implement, the holder comprising an attachment point for receiving the first arm to allow pivoting of the first arm, a first flange associated with the first arm, and at least a disc associated with the first arm via the first flange. The holder comprises a second attachment point to receive a second arm to allow pivoting of the second arm. The first flange is replaced by a second flange when the second arm is inserted. The second flange is associated with the first and second arms and with the disc. Receipt of the second arm and replacement of the first flange by the second flange provides a pantographic movement to the disc.
