COMBUSTION SYSTEM
Provided is a combustion system in which a catalyst having superior denitration efficiency at a low temperature compared with those used in the conventional techniques is used in a selective catalytic reduction reaction using ammonia as a reducing agent. A combustion system equipped with: a denitration device which is arranged in the exhaust passage and can remove a nitrogen oxide from the exhaust gas with a denitration catalyst. In the combustion system, the denitration device is arranged on the downstream side of the dust collection device in the exhaust passage, and the denitration catalyst is one which contains vanadium oxide as the main component and in which the content of a second metal in terms of oxide content is 1 to 40 wt % inclusive, wherein the second metal comprises at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of Co, W, Mo, Nb, Ce, Sn, Ni, Fe, Cu, Zn and Mn.
Catalyst Compositions and Precursors, Processes for Making the Same and Syngas Conversion Processes
Disclosed are novel catalyst compositions, catalyst precursors, processes for making catalyst precursors, processes for making catalyst compositions, and processes for converting syngas. The catalytic component in the catalyst composition can comprise a metal carbide and/or a metal nitride. This disclosure is particularly useful for converting syngas via the Fischer-Tropsch reactions to make olefins and/or alcohols.
DUAL DISPERSED MOx-CuOx/Co3O4 SUPPORTED METAL OXIDE CATALYSTS FOR DIRECT NOx DECOMPOSITION
A catalyst for direct decomposition removal of NOx from an exhaust gas stream to N.sub.2 and O.sub.2, the catalyst comprising a dual dispersed supported metal oxide material, which comprises MOx—CuOx dispersed on a CO.sub.3O.sub.4 spinel oxide support, wherein M is selected from the group consisting of Zn, Ce, Mg, Tb, and Gd. The dual dispersed supported metal oxide catalysts have good activity and selectivity for N.sub.2.
Supported multimetallic catalysts for oxidative dehydrogenation of alkanes
A catalyst for oxidative dehydrogenation of alkanes includes a substrate including an oxide; at least one promoter including a transition metal or a main group element of the periodic table; and an oxidation-active transition metal. The catalyst is multimetallic.
Catalyst and manufacturing method thereof
The present invention relates to a catalyst and a manufacturing method thereof, the catalyst is characterized that a distance between a transition metal of a transition metal oxide nanoparticle and oxygen is controlled by substituting at least a part of surface of the transition metal oxide nanoparticle with an inclusion.

Porous ceramic structure and method of producing porous ceramic structure
When the porous ceramic structure contains Co together with Fe or Mn, the Co content is higher than or equal to 0.1 mass % and lower than or equal to 3.0 mass % in terms of Co.sub.3O.sub.4, and when the porous ceramic structure contains Co without containing Fe and Mn, the Co content is higher than or equal to 0.2 mass % and lower than or equal to 6.0 mass % in terms of Co.sub.3O.sub.4. The Ce content is higher than or equal to 0.1 mass % and lower than or equal to 10 mass % in terms of CeO.sub.2. The Fe/Mn/Co ratio is higher than or equal to 0.8 and lower than or equal to 9.5. The porous ceramic structure contains more than or equal to 0.03 percent and less than or equal to 2.5 percent by mass of Zn in terms of ZnO.
Metal oxide nanoparticle-based magnetic resonance imaging contrast agent with a central cavity
The present invention relates to a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agent, particularly an MRI contrast agent derived from nanoparticle that is porous first metal-doped second metal oxide nanoparticle with a central cavity, and a method for producing the same. The MEI contrast agent made in accordance with the present invention can be used not only as a drug-delivery agent for therapy but also as an MRI contrast agent for diagnosis.
