A PROCESS FOR PREPARING A MOLDING COMPRISING ZINC AND A TITANIUM-CONTAINING ZEOLITE
A process for preparing a molding comprising zinc and a titanium-containing zeolitic material having framework type MWW, comprising (i) providing a molding comprising a titanium-containing zeolitic material having framework type MWW; (ii) preparing an aqueous suspension comprising a zinc source and the molding comprising a titanium-containing zeolitic material having framework type MWW prepared in (i); (iii) heating the aqueous suspension prepared in (ii) under autogenous pressure to a temperature of the liquid phase of the aqueous suspension in the range of from 100 to 200 C., obtaining an aqueous suspension comprising a molding comprising zinc and a titanium-containing zeolitic material having framework type MWW; (iv) separating the molding comprising zinc and a titanium-containing zeolitic material having framework type MWW from the liquid phase of the suspension obtained in (iii).
Process for the preparation of propylene oxide
A continuous process for the preparation of propylene oxide, comprising a start-up stage and normal run stage, wherein the normal run stage comprises (i) continuously providing a liquid feed stream comprising propene, hydrogen peroxide, acetonitrile, a formate salt, water and optionally propane, wherein in the liquid feed stream, the molar amount of the formate salt relative to the molar amount of hydrogen peroxide at a given point of time during the normal run stage is a.sup.N(Fo/H.sub.2O.sub.2); (ii) continuously passing the liquid feed stream provided in (i) into an epoxidation zone comprising a catalyst comprising a titanium zeolite having framework type MWW, and subjecting the liquid feed stream to epoxidation reaction conditions in the epoxidation zone, obtaining a reaction mixture comprising propylene oxide, acetonitrile, water, the formate salt, optionally propene, and optionally propane; (iii) continuously removing an effluent stream from the epoxidation zone, the effluent stream comprising propylene oxide, acetonitrile, water, at least a portion of the formate salt, optionally propene, and optionally propane; wherein the normal run stage is characterized in an average rate of change of a.sup.N(Fo/H.sub.2O.sub.2) of less than 0 h.sup.1.
VEHICLE POWERTRAIN WITH ON-BOARD CATALYTIC REFORMER
A power system comprises an engine configured to combust an air/fuel mixture and produce a flow of exhaust gas; an exhaust passageway fluidly connected to the engine to receive the flow of exhaust gas; an exhaust gas recirculation loop fluidly connecting the exhaust passageway to a fuel intake for the engine; a first conversion zone containing a fuel reforming catalyst located within the exhaust gas recirculation loop; and a second conversion zone located within the exhaust gas recirculation loop separate from and downstream of the first conversion zone stream, the second conversion zone containing a fuel cracking catalyst.
PROCESS FOR PREPARING AN UNSATURATED ALCOHOL
The present invention relates to a process for preparing an unsaturated alcohol, preferably 3,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadienal, by contacting an alkene, preferably isobutene, with formaldehyde in the presence a condensation catalyst comprising a zeolitic material comprising the framework structure of which comprises a tetravalent element Y other than Si.
Disproportionation and Transalkylation of Heavy Aromatic Hydrocarbons
Disclosed herein is a process for producing para-xylene comprising the steps of: (a) contacting a feedstock comprising toluene with a first catalyst under effective vapor phase toluene disproportionation conditions to disproportionate said toluene and produce a first product comprising benzene, unreacted toluene and greater than equilibrium amounts of para-xylene; and (b) contacting a feedstock comprising C.sub.9+ aromatic hydrocarbons and benzene with a second catalyst in the presence of 0 wt. % or more of hydrogen having a 0 to 10 hydrogen/hydrocarbon molar ratio under effective C.sub.9+ transalkylation conditions to transalkylate said C.sub.9+ aromatic hydrocarbons and produce a second product comprising xylenes.
A PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF A TITANIUM-CONTAINING ZEOLITE
A process comprising hydrothermally synthesizing a titanium-containing zeolitic material having framework type MWW in the presence of an MWW template compound, obtaining a mother liquor comprising water, a first portion of the MWW template compound and a titanium-containing zeolitic material having framework type MWW comprising a second portion of the MWW template compound, separating the first portion of the MWW template compound from the mother liquor and recycling the first portion of the MWW template compound into a hydrothermal synthesis of a titanium-containing zeolitic material having framework type MWW.
Transalkylation of Heavy Aromatic Hydrocarbons
A process for producing xylene from C.sub.9+ aromatic hydrocarbons comprises contacting a first feedstock comprising C.sub.9+ aromatic hydrocarbons with a first catalyst in the presence of 0 wt. % or more of hydrogen under effective vapor phase dealkylation conditions to dealkylate part of the C.sub.9+ aromatic hydrocarbons and produce a first product comprising benzene, toluene and residual C.sub.9+ aromatic hydrocarbons. A second feedstock comprising C.sub.9+ aromatic hydrocarbons and benzene and/or toluene is contacted with a second catalyst under effective liquid phase C.sub.9+ transalkylation conditions to transalkylate at least part of the C.sub.9+ aromatic hydrocarbons and produce a second product comprising xylenes.
Method for making a catalyst comprising a phosphorous modified zeolite and use of said zeolite
A method to make a phosphorus modified zeolite can include providing a zeolite having at least one ten member ring, making an ion-exchange, steaming the zeolite, and introducing phosphorus on the zeolite. The zeolite can be mixed with one or more binders and shaping additives, and then shaped. A metal can be introduced, and the catalyst can be washed, calcined, and steamed in an equilibration step. The steaming can be at performed at a steam severity (X) of at least about 2. The steaming can be performed at a temperature above 625 C. The catalyst can be used in alcohol dehydration, olefin cracking, MTO processes, and alkylation of aromatics by alcohols with olefins and/or alcohols.
Method for preparing aromatic hydrocarbon with carbon dioxide hydrogenation
A method for preparing aromatic hydrocarbons with carbon dioxide hydrogenation, comprising: directly converting a mixed gas consisting of carbon dioxide and hydrogen with the catalysis of a composite catalyst under reaction conditions of a temperature of 250-450 C., a pressure of 0.01-10.0 MPa, a feedstock gas hourly space velocity of 500-50000 mL/(h.Math.g.sub.cat) and a H.sub.2/CO.sub.2 molar ratio of 0.5-8.0, to produce aromatic hydrocarbons. The composite catalyst is a mixture of a first component and a second component. The first component is an iron-based catalyst for making low-carbon olefin via carbon dioxide hydrogenation, and the second component is at least one of metal modified or non-modified molecular sieves which are mainly used for olefin aromatization. In the method, CO.sub.2 conversion per pass may be above 33%, the hydrocarbon product selectivity may be controlled to be above 80%, the methane content is lower than 8%, C.sub.5+ hydrocarbon content is higher than 65% and the proportion of the aromatic hydrocarbons in C.sub.5+ hydrocarbons may be above 63%.
A PROCESS FOR PREPARING ETHENE OXIDE
A process for preparing ethene oxide comprising providing a liquid feed stream comprising ethene, hydrogen peroxide, and a solvent; passing the liquid feed stream into an epoxidation zone comprising a catalyst comprising a titanium zeolite comprising zinc and having framework type MWW, and subjecting the liquid feed stream to epoxidation reaction conditions in the epoxidation zone, obtaining a reaction mixture comprising ethene oxide, water, and the solvent; removing an effluent stream from the epoxidation zone, the effluent stream comprising ethene oxide, water and the solvent.
